Have you ever ask God to let you do something seemingly impossible—— in the midst of a storm?
That’s were true leaders are born. That’s Peter,
It’s one thing to be in a storm, but it’s another thing to have faith to try the impossible while your in the storm!
Today we have to many people waiting on God when God is waiting on Them!
A storm is often in the form of a Struggle: a story of an Olympic runner
it’s 1968, during the Mexico City Olympic marathon, 26.2 miles, the leader finished in 2:20:26
43 runners finished in the next 30 min. Far behind them was a runner from Tanzania, John Stephen Akhwari
he fell, had a gash in his leg and injured his joint. 1 hour later, most had left he limped across the finish line
Why? He said my Country did not send me 11,000 kilometers to start the race but to finish the race.
by the way, 17 runners did not finish at all. Every born again believer is running for others in your life.
Keep this in mind, Do you think that Peter was identified as the leader of all the men in the Boat this day?
The Sending across the Sea—
Why did He make them get into the Boat? He Could see what they could not!
“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” James 4:10
Why so Urgent?
God may need to lift you up today, to rescue you from a storm or deliver you from a crowd that you don’t know about
The Crowd—This crowd was not an angry crowd, it just wasn’t a safe crowd
The Focus of the crowd was all wrong—
Jesus knew he did not need to put the Disciples in a confusing situation.
V22 ~You will always know when Jesus is sending you for whatever reason.....look at verse 22
He will give you A Command (Go), —Gods plan for you involves the Gospel and People
A Vehicle (Boat), —God will make a way for you to be where He wants You.
A Destination (The Other Side)—It’s possible in 4 years for every people group to be reached
Jesus uses and rewards the Focused.........
The Crown—The crowd was not focused on Jesus, They were focused on a Crown (perishable) Temporary
"The Multitude were pressing upon Jesus, to lead a revolt against Rome and be there earthly King
Jesus did not want His Disciples to become Distracted by Politics, Wrong Motives or distorted views!" Butler
V23 Why? Because Jesus was not protecting them from a Crown, but For a Crown.
Church the Miracle of Salvation is not only Eternal Life, But the Rewards for Living it!

Why is it important to Obey God? Because the other side holds a Powerful Movement of God!!!
All of us wants to experience a Powerful Move of God, but truth be known many were stalled by a storm
The Storm in the Sea—V24
Has a Storm in your Life prevented you from reaching the other side? The Place of Peace,Service, Shelter
~A Storm is nothing more than an opportunity to experience God at Work and Join Him.
a Storm can effect us Spiritually & Physically—physically stalled, Spiritually sick
We can learn from Peter’s Miracle the value of being able to ask God the impossible in the midst of a storm.
V24 The Contrary—just because life gets Contrary you’ve got to know the one who sent you is coming.
How can you know? Because your going in the Direction God told you to go.
If you are in a Storm today you have to ask;
Is it a storm of Correction or a Storm of Persecution. (Am I Spiritually Sick?)
If your in a storm of correction you better Repent. David, Elijah, Nation of Israel, lives are at stake
If your in a Storm of persecution just keep going to the other side. Finish your Race, Crowns
A Fallen world does not become a friend to a Faithful Servant, but it does become an opportunity to
reveal God’s Power if we are CONSISTENT
The Consistency-Just because your in a Storm you never stop rowing. WHY? Physically/Spiritually Stalled
Mk 6:48 When your in a kayak and a big boat comes you have to square up and face the coming wave.
When a boat is on the open sea, that boat has to fight the wind and current to be ready for a wave.
V25 Why? You do not want to be blindsided. (If you will Fight the good Fight God will Show up)
if we were Honest today, how many of us are struggling because we let up and were blindsided?
The Savior on the Sea
Has God ever ask you to do something that you thought you could not do?
Have you ever ask God to allow you to do something that you thought you could not do?
What is Courage?
The Confidence in Peter—Courage is not letting fear rob you of Opportunity
V26-28 All Storms that come as a place of Persecution always Produces a Powerful ministry if we stay the course
It does not say that Peter was not afraid, but it does single him out in how he responded
PETER HAD THE COURAGE TO TAKE HIS EYES OFF THE STORM IN THE BOAT
this is a Key Factor for developing (get out of the boat Leaders). At Church and at Home.
V29 The Command to Peter—when God says “Come to me”,
That’s a Good sign of being in the right place at the right time for a Miracle making experience.
If you want to experience and see if God is who he says He is, just be willing to step out of the boat
In faith in the midst of your Storm.

The Catch of Peter—you can build a Church with people who will step out of a Boat in a Storm.
V30 Even when it seems impossible and irrational.
Why was Peter seen as a leader, because HE RESPONDED AS ONE.
V31 (It was a Storm to them and Jesus was just skipping Rocks—Peter (The Rock)
V32 Do you Think Jesus was Praying alone before the storm for a leader to be raised up in the Storm?
What we need to see is That Jesus Caught Peter Physically, But Spiritually HE NEVER LET GO
V33 Was the price of getting out of the Boat worth the experience of the miracle?
Today this Miracle is about the Storm that set up an opportunity for a Powerful Miracle
Today this Miracle is about the Saint who ask God the Impossible in the midst of a Storm
Today this Miracle is about the Savior that gives an Invitation to experience what is impossible for man to do for himself
THE CROWN JESUS WAS PROTECTING THEM FOR IS OF victory and accomplishment.
First is the imperishable/incorruptible crown (I Corinthians 9:24-27). Those who victoriously run the race of life by consistently bringing their flesh under the Holy Spirit’s control receive this crown. They exercise great self-discipline. We should strive for excellence in the Christian life.
Second is the crown of righteousness (2 Timothy 4:7, 8). This crown is rewarded to those who live each day with an eternal perspective and who have matured spiritually. They have finished the Christian life with integrity and kept their focus on Christ.
Third is the crown of life (James 1:12, Revelation 2:10). This is awarded to those who have suffered nobly and have persevered hardship. Do we endure hardship in a way that honors the Lord?
Fourth is the crown of glory (I Peter 5:2-4). This crown is awarded to faithful ministers who give pastoral care and loving oversight to the flocks who are entrusted to them. They set Christ-like examples.
Fifth is the crown of rejoicing (Philippians 4:1, I Thessalonians 2:19, 20). This crown is also known as the soul-winner’s crown and is given to those who faithfully share the gospel. How are you enlarging the size of heaven?
Of course, the greatest reward of heaven is being in the presence of Jesus.
