Summary: I can Do It. You Can Do It. We Can Do It.

I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

Introduction

Fear is the one of the primary factors that is causing many of us to use the words I can’t. Because we are saying we can’t, we find ourselves in the same position we were in for years because we truly believe we cannot. Some of you think you cannot make it on your own. You think you cannot be healed. You think you cannot start this business that you wanted to start a long time ago. You think you do not have any money or anything to proceed so you do not start. You think because of your background, you cannot do it. You did not come from so and so family and so you think you cannot do it.

However, the word of God says that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

If God did not give you a spirit of fear, then who or what is causing you to be afraid. It is the enemy causing you to doubt yourself.

This article is to encourage you to be confident knowing that you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you.

Tell yourself I can Do It. I can Do It. Turn to the person next to you and say You can Do It. You Can Do It. Now look at each other and say We Can Do It. We can Do It.

The question then is how can we do it? How can I do it? How can you do it?

Have Faith

You Got to Have Faith. In fact, The opposite of fear is faith. If you keep having fear you will find it very difficult to move ahead. Fear Keeps you Down and Faith Keeps You Up. Turn to the Person next to You, Fear Keeps You Down and Faith Keeps You Up.

If you are afraid, then that means perhaps you do not have faith or you have very little faith. Faith requires you to act and if you are afraid you may not want to act. You may remain in an inactive state. Some of you know what you want so act on it.

If you believe and have faith then you can do it. Tell yourself you can do it. I can do it.

Somebody please read John 5:8

In John 5:8 “The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another stepped down before me.

Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. John 5:7-9

This man was in that condition for 38 years. When Jesus saw him there, he asked him if he wanted to get well. The man replied saying that he had no one to help him in the pool when the pool is stirred. He said when he tries to go in, someone else went ahead of him.

All Jesus did was tell him to get up, pick up your mat and walk. The man was cured, he picked up his mat and walked.

Some of us perhaps have been in the same state or condition for years. You are afraid or you are waiting on someone to help you or you have given up because you see other people coming ahead of you with the same idea. All you need to do is exercise your faith, get up and walk in authority to your destination. You can Do It.

We will now look at some examples of Faith in the Bible

By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.”[a] For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. 6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.

8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 9 By faith he made his home in the promised landlike a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 11 And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she[b] considered him faithful who had made the promise. 12 And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.

13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 18 even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”[c] 19 Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.

20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future.

21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.

22 By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions concerning the burial of his bones.

23 By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.

24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. 26 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. 28 By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.

29 By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.

30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days.

31 By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.[d]

Stop saying you have faith but yet you do not believe. Faith and belief go hand and hand.

How many of you are now willing to increase your faith to get up and do what you were born to do?

Protect Yourself – You Can Do It

Another thing you need to do is that you need to protect yourself as you step into your pathway to your destination.

The reason you need to protect yourself is because you will get attacked. Because you are getting attacked, you may get discouraged. You may feel like giving up because you are getting too many attacks and it looks like you cannot do what you want to do.

We see a lot of businesses and homes are protecting themselves from robbers by having secured premises or cameras. There are just to many attacks so they have to protect themselves. You will find sometimes you got to protect yourself from your own family. This is the plan of the enemy.

However, you can do what you want to do if you protect yourself by putting on the full armour of God.

13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:13-17

Always be truthful. Do not tell a lie to protect yourself or to progress to another level. Be truthful. When you lie you got to cover up a lie with another lie.

Be righteous which is good standing with God. A breastplate protects you from attacks and if you are doing what is right, the Devil cannot get you.

Be ready , be alert

Shield of Faith which we talk about already

The Helmet of salvation is referred to your head. Keep your mind on God.

Sword of the Sprit is the word Of God

If you put the full armour of God on you, you should have confidence that you can do what you desire to do. You can Do it.

If you see a Black cat, they say it is bad luck

If you see a something out of the ordinary, use salt

You are protected by the Word OF God that you have inside of you.Greater is he that is in you then he that is in the word

Do not let hearsay keep you down. Move forward with your breastplate etc.

You Can Do It.

Use Your Experience – You Can Do It

You may have experienced a lot of things in your life. However, don’t take those experiences for granted. The things you are experiencing are preparing you to do what you need to do. When you look back, give God thanks for allowing you to go through the experiences you encountered.

David was a shepherd and with experience and faith in God, he was confident that he can defeat Goliath. David did it. In fact, in the end, David also became King. You too can do it.

But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, 35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 37 The LORD who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17:34-37

Do Not Look at Your Background or Qualifications You Can Do It

Some of you may look at your background as deterrent for achieving what you want to do. Despite your background. You can Do It.

Moses was a murderer and could not speak well but he was the first leader to lead the people out of Egypt

Paul referred to himself as the worst sinner but in the end wrote thirteen books of the New Testament.

Abraham and Sarah were old but gave birth to a nation.

You can do it despite your background or qualifications.

You May Think You Have Nothing but You Can Do It.

I know many of us think we do not have anything and so we think we cannot make it and so we are afraid to move forward with the plans God gave you.

You have everything you need in your hands to make it. Once you discover them, you can make money from it. God has given each of you something. Step forward.

The widow had just a jar of oil and she borrowed some vessels from her neighbor. She was able to fill the vessels with oil and then sell them to pay off her debt.

David just had five stones and a sling in his hand and with his experience and faith, he slew Goliath.

Today we see many people investing in their talents and making money from it.

You can Do it. You have it within You, go forward and do it successfully.

Conclusion

Do Not Ever Say, you can’t. If you are Christian, then the Holy Spirit resides within you. There is no power greater than the power of God. You can do it. Stop being afraid. Use Your Experience and stop dwelling on the past. If I can do it, You Can Do It.
