I and my fellow Airmen heard this a lot from our Drill Sgt at Lackland AFB way back in 1970. I don’t think many of us had much of a clue or a plan other than to get out of boot camp as soon as we could.
I am afraid many Christians still do not know what they are going to do with their life. The problem may be that they do not realize that they do not have a life to do anything with at all.
1 Cor 6:19-20
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own ?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. KJV
Think about your life. How much of it has been according to your plan or lack of one? How much of it glorified your will and not His? Your body and spirit are His. Is it not time to start glorifying Him in them? How much of your life is spent. Not much we can do in what is past but we can start to put into play a life that will glorify the One who bought us today and beyond. Indeed, the Rapture may happen or we may die and be in Heaven in tonight . Will Christ have gotten much bang for His blood when He assesses our life? I am afraid most of us in the so-called civilized world will far short.
Let Him live through you so that the glory will be His from henceforth! Maranatha!!
