Topic: THE KIND OF DIVISION GOOD FOR THE CHURCH
Acts 15:36-41 King James Version (KJV)
36 And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.
37 And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.
38 But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
39 And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;
40 And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
41 And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
Beloved, people may have misunderstandings, they may have sharp arguments, different views on issues and even argue them out till both are right and take different turns.
Beloved, no matter the argument that should come up between or among brethren in the Kingdom, it should produce positive results and it should not yield separation in the church but rather growth and increase of the church.
Beloved, Paul and Barnabas separated and they went different ways, not to destroy eachother or the church to break the church or destroy each other's efforts or work in and for the church, but to rather build the church from different locations to cause it to in general grow to be positioned at where God wants it to be.
Beloved, their argument and misunderstanding did not break the church but rather increased the church by speeding growth.
If they were together they would have put both energies in same communities but these two mighty forces separated and each mighty force was put in a different city in a different region and the church surely grew mightly because of these efforts that were spread out instead of being concentrated at one place.
Beloved, don't let your misunderstanding with a brother stop you from doing what you do for the Kingdom, or cause you to speak things to destroy the other person, discredit him and break him down to limit growth of the church.
Just keep to the work you have been given in the vineyard by God and allow others to keep to theirs too no matter what. Don't break the church by breaking people but build the church by building people.
Beloved *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. If we are true followers of Jesus and we love Him as we exhibit we would never break or destroy the church for the church is His body and destroying it, is destroying His body;
Let us have for all in the Body of Christ love that is similar to the love Jesus has for us if not same. This is the love that will build the Body of Christ and not destroy it.
This Christlike love can only be instilled, operated and kept in us by Precious Holy Spirit who lives in our hearts. Let us invite Him to activate this in us and lead us to live it always, here on earth and after our lives here on earth.
Prayer: Daddy, may your Spirit in me activate your kind of love in me to live this love always here on earth and in the hereafter. Daddy may your love build the church stronger and stronger, day in day out. In the mighty name of Jesus have we prayed. Amen.
