Topic: DO NOT TAKE GOD'S GLORY AND RECEIVE HIS WORSHIP
Acts 14:13-18 King James Version (KJV)
13 Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
14 Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
17 Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
18 And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.
Beloved, there are a number of things that sometimes people want to do in honour of us or say to honour or acknowledge us which we are to stop them and redirect all of it to YHWH. Even if we don't succeed in stopping them we have to redirect all they will do to God or dissociate from the act totally if they won't hearken to your direction.
Sometimes people say thank you to us when they are really supposed to be thanking God Almighty, sometimes people honour or prsise us when the one they are to be honouring and praising is God Almighty and sometimes people say or do things which are a form of worshiping us when the one they should be worshiping is God Almighty.
Beloved in all the situations mentioned above we are to redirect the people doing the offering and or worshiping to God by referring the people to Him. With respect to worship we are to stop them totally and or dissociate from their act of worshiping of us if they will not stop.
Beloved, we are men and God is God. Let us be men and live like that, and let us allow God to be God and operate in our lives as such.
It's a very dangerous thing to share God's thanksgiving, honour and praise with Him and then also receive His worship.
These are things that the devil tries to do or is delighted in. Don't fall for his subtle tricks to do something God dislikes.
God has said in His Holy Word, "I'll share my glory with no one", therefore do not take any part of it in anyway. All the glory belongs to God, let Him have all of it. None of it is yours, don't steal or try to steal from Him.
Beloved *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. If we are focused on Him and do as He wills we would not meddle in taking part of God's glory and or worship and we will live as men and allow God to be God, our one and only true God who made heaven and earth.
Prayer: Father, all the glory, honour, praise, thanksgiving and worship belongs to you. I'm not involved and I don't want to have any part in it. Father if I err in taking part of any of these without knowing, please, may your Spirit prompt me and direct me to give it all to you to the glory of your Holy name. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
