Topic: BE FAITHFUL TO GOD AND HONEST TO MEN
Acts 11:27-30 King James Version (KJV)
27 And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.
28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.
29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:
30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
Beloved, as leaders of the church we have to be faithful to God and honest to the people we lead.
When the church according to its ability gave relief to Barnabas and Saul, they didn't divert the items or use the items for their personal benefit but sent them to the elders in Judea for distribution.
Beloved, their faithfulness to God and honesty to the people caused the church to trust them and be able to provide for others through them without fear of theft or misappropriation.
Fellow workers of God, if we will let our faithfulness to God and honesty to the people be clearly seen and known by all, such that we appropriate the right things to the right places for many if not all to be satisfied with our work, many many many people will willingly give to support the work we do.
The image that the church worker has now, is that of a man ready to milk the people dry and use what he gets for his personal benefits to provide comfort and luxury for himself and if there is any left over, the church can benefit.
The only way to correct this image is to be faithful to God and honest to the people. If we do this many will give to God through us without all the comments and badmouthing.
People of God, it is time those of us who say we are genuine, show our faithfulness to God and honesty to the people for a clear distinction to be made between us and those just looking for avenues to exploit the masses for personal benefits.
Beloved, *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. If we focus on Him and make up our minds to please Him alone, our faithfulness and honesty would be real and it will be evident for all to see.
Prayer: Father please give me the grace to bring out your faithfulness and honesty in me for the pushing of your Kingdom Agenda. May your name be glorified in my life always. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
