Summary: Miracles happen every day but all too often Jesus is not credited with them. It is time we took the offensive in our battle of faith and openly use the name of Jesus with every opportunity. Do you believe that by Jesus name miracles can and do occur?

The Power of Jesus Name

Acts 3:1-10

Message:

Jesus is the most powerful name in all Eternity.

Philippians 2:10

10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,

in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

Jesus name was chosen by God the Father.

Matthew 1:21

21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

Jesus is the Promised One of God who is to be God with us. A sign!

Isaiah 7:14

14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

Jesus is the name we are to joyfully use when we cry out to God.

John 16:24

24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

John 14:12-14

12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

We see St. Peter demonstrate this fact as he and St. John are walking past a lame beggar at the Temple gate called “Beautiful”.

Acts 3:1-2

While Peter has no money to offer this poor beggar he calls out the name of Jesus and IN THE POWER OF Jesus name Peter speaks one word “WALK”. Peter helps the man to his feet and the LAME MAN CAN NOW WALK AND JUMP. He presents himself in the Temple and all are amazed.

My friends do you believe in the power of Jesus name?

Do you believe that by Jesus name miracles can and do occur?

Absolutely yes!

Our enemy Satan/Lucifer would have us entertain doubts. Our enemy wants us to embrace a lesser faith.

The Bible tells us that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Hebrews 13:8

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Saints we can and should invoke the name of Jesus in all kinds of circumstances.

When I visited our seniors and the sick I follow the Book. I do it by the Book the Bible.

I often use what we call the prayer of faith in James 5:13-16

13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.

14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.

15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Saints such prayers are powerful and effective because of the name that is invoked. The righteousness is in Jesus.

I realize that we tend to think that miracles are for another time, not our own.

That is not what the Bible teaches.

Miracles happen every day but all too often Jesus is not credited with them.

Can I heal you in Jesus name?

No, only Jesus can do the healing but I can ask for the healing on your behalf.

We can all plead our Heavenly Father for such things but if there is to be a healing it is to be the Will of God not the will of man.

Too often we see men and women laying on hands and making tearful prayers for healing but the healing does not come or it is often times a forgery.

These things are not of God and those who practice such things will be dealt with by God.

Such charlatans should not diminish our hope that lies in the power of Jesus name. We should still go to Him even for the impossible especially for the impossible.

For only Jesus can make the impossible possible.

St. Peter and St. John did not lay on hands they simply told the man to look at them which he did.

It was by the Word of God that God created the Heavens and the Earth. St. John told us at the start of his Gospel that Jesus is the Word of God who dwelt among us.

Pray Jesus name over the sick Saints, pray over the blind, the deaf, the lame the infirmed.

Definition of infirm.

1: of poor or deteriorated vitality; especially: feeble from age.

2: weak of mind, will, or character: irresolute, vacillating. (Uncertain, wavering)

James 2:19. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

Acts 4:12 K.J.V

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

It is time we took the offensive in our battle of faith and openly use the name of Jesus with every opportunity.

Pray believing dear ones, pray in hope for the hand of God to heal those among us who are in need of Jesus miraculous touch.

Do it by the book and trust the results to our Heavenly Father.

In Jesus name we pray Amen.
