2 Kings 6:1-7

The Merging of the Generations, shows how God’s promise of the hearts of the fathers returning to the children is coming and is now.
2 Kings 6:1-7
1 And the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, Behold now, the place where we live with you is too small for us. 2 Please let us go to Jordan. And let each man take a beam from there. And let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go. 3 And one said, Be content, please, and go with your servants. And he answered them, I will go. 4 And he went with them. And they came to Jordan, and they cut down trees. 5 And it happened as one was felling a log, the axe-head fell into the water. And he cried and said, Alas, master! For it was borrowed. 6 And the man of God said, Where did it fall? And he showed him the place. And he cut down a stick and threw it in there. And the iron swam. 7 And he said, take it up to you. And he put out his hand and took it.
2 Kings 6:1-7--1 THE SONS of the prophets said to Elisha, Look now, the place where we live before you is too small for us.
we moving forward, we must move with the times.
Old and young
Vs2 sons of the prophet says Let us go to the Jordan, and each man get there a [house] and let us make us a place there where we may dwell. And he answered, Go.
Jordan means the low place.
3 One said, prophet Come, and go with your servants. He answered, I will go.
It's time for Transition.
The next Generation is going to do far more than we have ever done,
God is moving prophetically upon this new generation.
There is a Merging of the Generations,
God’s promise of the hearts of the fathers returning to the children is coming and is now.
this is a powerful prophetic insight about this long awaited reconciliation.
Here we see they are saying we need the older generation we need to partner with the younger generation.
The prophet decided to go with them! As from this day, God will go with you!
vs4 So he went with them. And when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees.
Cut down meansA primitive root; to cut down or off; (figuratively) to destroy, divide, exclude or decide: - cut down (off), decree, divide, snatch.
We need to work put or hand to the Plowright and not look back
the enemy has planted trees in your life so that you will not prosper the axe head will cut it now!
Some things around or life needs to be cut down.
We need to moving forward
vs5 But as one was cutting his tree, the axhead fell into the water; and he cried, Alas, my master, for it was borrowed!
What was lost what was lost is the cutting edge.
Oh, no, my lord, it was borrowed,”
we have to realize that our cutting edge comes from God and from God alone.
We need to recognize that we lost it
The only way to get it back is to return to the place where we lost it.
Return to God.
Jesus said lets go to the other side then rose a storm
Do you realize we need axes for many of God assignments?
God has placed something in your hand that makes you effective for kingdom.
It is an “axe” of the Holy Spirit that empowers you to accomplish God’s work.
Maybe you lost your first love for the Lord.
LOVE is the center of the Gospel.
If we’ve lost our first love, we can do nothing.
It’s not a matter of us working harder and harder for Jesus.
it’s the OUTCOME of our love for Him.
human effort will never accomplish God’s will.
These “axes” are also called Spiritual gifts of the Spirit.
If you lose your cutting edge, how can you get it back?

It did not just come off suddenly no it was working it self off overtime.

Stealing
Flirting
Little Lies
Don’t read the Bible
Don’t pray as much any more
We sin more and more
Don’t attend church like you used to.
Every little bit starts to loosen the head of the axe.
The Axe head could speak of your anointing, your sharpness.
Losing your vision
Every tree the enemy has planted so that you will not prosper, the axe head will cut it now!
Matthew 3:10
10 And now also, the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bring forth good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.
The Holy Spirit’s gifts, talents, and tools are the instruments that accomplish God’s purposes.
It could be axe of prayer,
Axe of giving,
Axe of teaching,
Axe of mercy,
Axe of serving,
Axe of encouraging.
Exercise your spiritual axe gifting.
Men of faith don’t allow problems to overwhelm them
God has given you the axe head but the enemies buried the axe head so that it cannot cut the trees they planted against you.
Many of Gods people have lost their hope. There faith.
Your axe seems to blunt to take down that tree that mountain in front of you.
Whatever the tree they have planted your axe head will cut it down!
A lot do not know the importance of the axe head.
Ecclesiastes 10:10
10 If the iron is blunt, and one does not sharpen the edge, he must use more strength, but wisdom helps one to succeed.
It is what you are supposed to use to cut evil trees in your life.
I command your axe head to come up!
your axe head will come up and you will cut down the tree of poverty.
your axe head is your financial power to cut off every tree of shame growing in your life.
There is something about this axe head.
Ask yourself, why did the man cry so much?
Thank God a prophet was there.
Vs6 The man of God said, Where did it fall? When shown the place, Elisha cut off a stick and threw it in there, and the iron floated.
Elisha’s asked Where did you lose the axe,” You need to identify where you lost your effectiveness in life.
Have you lost your kingdom sharpness
Have you stopped praying?
Have you stopped stopped sharing Christ
Have you stopped serving others?
The stick is the CROSS you need the CROSS to get resurrection, again in your life.
Where did you lose your Axe your anointing, your sharpness go pick it up where you lost it.
You see the sons of the prophets thought. That the prophet was too old.
7 He said, Pick it up. And he put out his hand and took it.
Jeremiah 51:20
20 “You are (my battle axe) hammer and weapon of war: with you I break nations in pieces;
with you I destroy kingdoms;
Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Elisha, says take it up for yourself.”
In essence, Elisha said, “Reclaim your usefulness.
take hold of it. YOU ARE GOD'S BATTLE AXE
Someone else can't do what you meant to do.

10 Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
You are the axe head of God. Irrespective of the years they have planted that tree, because you are an axe head of God, you will cut down the tree.
Trees of your enemy's
Ecc 10:10 If the iron is blunt, and he does not WET the edge, then he must put more strength to it . But wisdom is profitable to direct.
Make it WET it fell in the water word will sharpen your axe.

They said to the man of God This isn’t enough, we want more .
I was amazed at the faith of the sons of the prophets they said the place where we dwell with you is not adequate.
They said lets build a bigger one. Lets enlarge our capacity.
I believe that faith is being stirred up within the Body of Christ right now and I believe our spirits are crying out,

There is no salvation, no miracle,
without Christ!

“This isn’t enough, we want more”.
The axe head is the power of moving forward.

That is what is used to destroy backwardness in your life.

I came to this place tonight to prophesy:
Fruitfulness in our life where it has been dry unfruitful in your life
I have come to bring and release fruitfulness in your life.
I came to tell you that the Devil is not in charge,
I don’t care what it looks like, or feels like or sounds like.
God is still in control.

And then out of nowhere one small thing goes wrong just like it did with this man’s axe.
Come on shout ‘I am the axe head of God.
I will cut down every evil tree!’
The forecast we have is a 30, 60 and 100 fold return.
axe head is you success power. It is used to cut off the tree of STAGNATION .
The enemies’ plan is that you stay where you are.
The axe head is your vision power.
That is what is used to destroy backwardness in your life.
The axe head is your giving power.
This is used to cut down the tree of poverty.
The axe head is your prayer power. It is used to cut down the tree of the enemies.
The axe head is your fasting power. It is used to cut down the tree of delay.
A lot of people have had every good thing in their lives being delayed.
They have had their marriages, success and businesses delayed.
But I tell you, delay is not denial.
The reason for delay is that your axe head is not there. OR ITS NOT SHARP
The reason why the devil is fighting you is that you lost your axe head

I pray that your miracles will locate you.
I believe the enemy has been plaguing your seeds of faith, your sowing, your building, your dreams and your visions with fear, doubt and unbelief.
