Hearing Heresy? Rebuke It In Jesus Name! Kelly Durant 3-4-18
Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
Galatians 1:9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
2. How many of you have ever seen a spirit being? Have you talked with that being? How many of you have gone into a trance or been hypnotized? What about being with relatives when they prayed to the dead or did some strange ritual? Or done Santeria or told you about superstitious practices that they claim will get you some results for what you need? Or have you read any books on the esoteric practices of any culture? How about astrology or prophecy books?
If you answered yes to any of the above, you have been exposed to the spirit realm. But the spirits that you often meet are not always looking out for you or God's interests. One of the signs of the endtime is that people will seek out spirits and esoteric experiences. Angels do exist, but demons dressed as angels do too. Is it possible that you have experienced anything that has left a strange impression in your spirit? It is important that you and I remain free and healed from delusions, false visions, and evil communications. We must learn to discern amongst the spirits and it takes knowing God's scripture well, applying prayer, and the company of brothers and sisters who will support you in the things God. You need Christians nearby that can give you Godly advise! Also, many of us have heard many things from churches so we must discern.
1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
3. Satan's power is increasing with many people because we are in the last days and those who will not commit to Jesus are open game as a fortress without walls. But here is where the real power is, in the name of Jesus! When you have the doubt about something, if you feel fear or attacked from the spirit world, you can rebuke in the name of Jesus! The demons will leave when they see they cannot trap you into their labyrinth of mind games, illusive visions, or ugly intrusive thoughts when you call on Jesus. Call on Jesus always!
James 4: 7 'Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you'. If you resist uninvited evil thoughts, sad thoughts, destructive or vengeful thoughts, or strange thoughts like you feel like some extraterrestrial being is talking to you, and you pray, 'Jesus, put these feelings and thoughts away from me, I rebuke Satan and his demons!" he (they) will leave you alone! But it may take repeated prayers and several fights before a total victory comes .
Just remember how it happened to Jesus. Satan came to Jesus during his 40 day fast to tempt him first over his basic needs, then next over pride and power. Satan wanted Jesus to break his commitment first by breaking the fast which was conquering any impurity in his flesh.
4. So Satan, shape shifting into some flesh form, appeared to Jesus when He was extremely hungry, but we see Jesus beat him by will power, something you are going to need to develop as a Christian. How did He answer when Satan said to just make stones into bread? 4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' Answer out loud and talk to these entities! Rebuke back!
Then Satan took him up to the top of a high temple, the motive was to get Jesus to abuse His authority, and you as a Christian are going to need to develop this resistance against being abusive as well. 7 Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.'" When you are tempted you must learn to rebuke applying the Word of God that you memorize or search in the Bible for.
John 4:8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me." 10 Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.'" So Jesus resisted the pride of being worshipped for being ruler over all earthly kingdoms. Imagine if Jesus ever worshipped Satan? That would be the end of humanity's salvation! Be he did not, he resisted the age-old serpent cult creator, the destroyer, the fallen one doomed to a future prison in hell.
5. So what was revealed here? That Satan temporarily has the power over the people of the earth! In Job we learn how Satan operates. Job 1:7 And the Lord said to Satan, "From where do you come?" So Satan answered the Lord and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it." 8 Then the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?"
The conclusion from the Book of Job is that Satan gets more of a thrill trying to tempt and make fall God's people than the thrill he gets from his own evil worshippers. Evil worshippers are selfish, proud, rebellious, lying haters as he is, and you can never have unity with demons who have their own addictions that never get satisfied. So in the world we see it over and over, God blesses some people with wealth and power but then Satan comes to tempt and torture so the person gives up and submits to Satan so he will leave him alone. What a mistake those make that surrender to Satan! But Job was faithful and any of us can win the battle as well!
I have been around a lot of different churches where misinformed members bring confusion. There are some Christian people that talk more about Satan than they do of Jesus Christ! Satan came to tempt me, Satan made me do those drugs, Satan and Lucifer, on and on. I have some news for everyone, most of us are not important enough for Satan himself to deal with, it is his demons that appear to torment us disguised as him! And his demons will not usually come into your mind unless you are going into their neighborhoods looking for trouble.
As a person you cannot stop the birds from flying over our head, but you and I don't have to allow them to build a nest on our head. Stop answering the demons and they will leave.
6. Some people with extreme experiences want to complain that God is putting them to the test, that God is mean trying to see if you or I are faithful or not. Read here in James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 1:14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.
People that get in contact with demons, that have visions of aliens, or visions of angels of light, that get supernatural communications which inflates their pride as a great leader and teacher, are people that are condemning their own souls to hell if they don't stop. By inviting in an old demon running around needing a body to function in, one condemns oneself to be punished as the demon will be punished, and that is with an eternal fire burning your eternal spirit. I, like anyone, have been tempted to become cruel and abusive, prideful and superior, inflated by the wisdom of esoteric knowledge, but we must wake up to see that is not our regular 'self' speaking inside but rather an evil spirit. The way to get God's spirit in is to battle these voices and become humble, to become meek, and just always be with an attitude that you are just an unworthy humble servant for Jesus.
Satan knows all sciences as well and Hitler's army was full of leaders connected to the occult worship and these demons showed them how to mass exterminate people and how to develop advanced weaponry. People who channel the spirit world are of Satan! If you ever hear of a person following Alister Crowley, or any spirit medium from any culture, you need to wake them up that these Satan worshippers have always practiced child sacrifice, cannibalism, the raping of women and little boys and girls! To explore and exploit that world could dirty your spirit to the point you could become insane and possessed as they were! Exposure to powerful demons will require a deep extended time of prayer and fasting to get clean!
7. Satan's followers are only maintained by delusion and confusion though toxic teachings, through pride and power, and by getting his own to identify good as evil. They derive pleasure in attacking God's own ridiculing all positions that they hold to conserve God's creation of life, happiness, and love. Satan does not need to attack people within world religions and governments that are murderous and oppressive, he already has them under his thumb. What is evident is he gets his own to attack authentic Christians in every offensive way possible, verbally and violently. Spirit demons are like snakes in the bushes ready to bite if you are not always watching out for your soul.
Observe how many people insult Christians through media outlets and you will see how many demon-possessed people there are in the world! These people are obsessed with repeating their insults and lies over and over and the truth to them is water on their fire so they fume and hate against the bearers of the water of life. The truth of God in the Bible makes them go crazy!
Satan also has to get a person to do such horrible crimes that they think there is no redemption for them, that God will not forgive them because they (you) crossed the line; you have no chance out of hell because you partook of the most forbidden abominable, punishable by death offensive acts possible. Satan starts people off with minor crimes, giving into temptation, maybe lying and stealing, then it progresses on to getting an evil spirit inside so one insults God. Eventually it devolves into Satan worship to derive pleasure from rituals that destroy innocence and life committing horrible sex crimes. And woe to those who pretend to be promoting God Jehovah and Jesus but practice horrible things in secret! Hell will be eternally hot for them!
8. I don't like to preach on this subject of Satan and demons, but because there are many of them out there busy attacking Christians, busy discouraging you and me, I must. When we speak about Jesus we are suddenly subject to random attacks. The word commands this… Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. Yes, we must expose evil and how it entices people, even fooling so called Christians.
In the verses in Galatians of we observe that the Christians back then were being deceived by Satan through teachings that they believed were affirmed by angels. We are warned not to follow anything false, anything contrary to Jesus teachings, even if it comes to you or me by some unexplained powerful entity. They were trying to make Jesus followers obey all the Mosaic law, but priorities changed with Jesus. Later we will study this deeper. So how are people persuaded away from the truth today? By aliens, angels, demons, toxic teachings, and a whole host of lying media communications! Many have replaced the worship of Jesus in churches with the teachings of millions of youtube videos, and some are very demonic, while others appear Christian but are mixed with false doctrines and compromises with evil practices.
Truth mixed with lies simulates how the Galatians ended up and they were accused of being heretical. This implies that without repentance, a severe condemnation would come. Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?
9. Many of us are convinced we are in the later days and it was foretold that many would stray from God's word following any other teaching, be it new age, gnostic, or demonic enticements.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
Many of you may have false friends doing the work of demons. They may follow you on your media, or talk to you about how you are so stupid and embarrassingly wrong to not accept the trends and opinions of the world as normal. They mock you if you go against the agendas of what's accepted by the confused illogical wicked majority. These fake friends speak aggressively, boastfully, condescendingly, and intimidatingly hoping to shame you out of your Biblical convictions! Pray about every so-called friend you think you have, demons nearby might be squelching and undoing all the good God is trying to do through you.
Those not strong in Jesus reading the word and praying everyday are the weak ones subject to be tempted and persuaded by Satan's lies. This probably includes about 90% of all Christians! Look around at all your friends, who really studies God's word everyday out of love? A few actually do and it is obvious their faith is firm, while others are happy to just get a half hour sermon once a week. Believe me, a sermon is not enough to make you as strong as you need to be! It would be like eating only once a week! Job 23:12 I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth More than my necessary food.
10. The enemy, being Satan and his demons, should never have any power over us by any means, not by delusion by communication through strange beings, not by the teachings from those who mix truth with lies, not by internal or outside voices of doubts, and not by we ourselves allowing temptation to override our will power.
No angel, or demon disguised as an angel, should ever be allowed to enter into you because you succumb to obtaining a want inappropriately, by inflating your pride, that you are as a god and can do as you please, or that you must worship Satan as all the condemned rich hypocrite Hollywood and political people do in order to gain power, popularity, and friends.
Maintaining your faith takes work and the best way to accomplish it is to surround yourself with Godly pure people, study the word daily, and pray hard to not fall! You can make it with Jesus. Only the name of Jesus has power to stop the demons of hell! Philippians 2:10
'That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,' Jesus, we love you and we need you, fill us completely so all evil is purged and we are protected by your Spirit which reigns over all kingdoms forever and ever!
