I looked at 3 Definitions of “TRUTH” from the Dictionary, the first definition of “TRUTH” was;
“the true or actual state of a matter:”
This afternoon as I read 2nd Timothy 3 the first thing that stuck out to me was the heading;
“Perilous Times and Perilous Men”
2nd Timothy 3:1-7
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a FORM of godliness but denying it’s power. And from such people TURN AWAY! for of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
“AND FROM SUCH PEOPLE TURN AWAY!”
The truth is this morning that there are people under the sound of my voice, rather in this building or on LiveStream that are 1 of the many things I named off this afternoon,
I’m sure we have unthankful people in the house,
Headstrong people in the house,
Haughty people,,
Lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God,
The TRUTH this morning is there are church houses all over the nation, and many right here in our quiet little town; that have a FORM of godliness but are simply denying the actual power of God because they cannot lay down the things of the world;
They cannot lay down the unholy slanderous ways of Sin!
Sinner I want to tell you the truth this morning.
I never arise on a Sunday morning to boast, be proud, brag…
As the old saying says; “Brag Self, Scandal”
But I have come here to this house of worship this morning to preach the truth of the word of the most High God to the Captive,
I have come this morning only to preach a word that is holy and acceptable and pleasing to our father, and one that may; as the Bible says, Help YOU Sinner & Christian alike…
…. Help you to know the truth because THE TRUTH is what is going to set you free!
The truth this morning is what is going to set this world on fire very soon coming one of these days,
Great hot rocks of Fire will fall freely from the sky swallowing all that have denied his name,
Can I stand here this morning and say that EVERYONE in this place will be saved from THE TRUTH of our mighty savior and the reign and wrath that is yet to come to this earth one day soon?
No I cannot,
But today I can tell you the truth of the Word and that is;
“TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION, HARDEN NOT YOUR HEART; BUT HEAR MY VOICE”
This my friends is how we will come to the Knowledge of Truth this afternoon;
This is how we must come to “the true or actual state of a matter:”
The true state of this world is;
We are headed for destruction,
The true state of the matter of this world is;
JESUS is on his way after his bride, awaiting at the right had of the father and just for this moments time he is here; he is in this place to make intercession for YOU that you might come to this altar of prayer and lay down the state of the world, lay down what is bogging and dragging you to an eternal hell and come to know the knowedge of the TRUTH this morning and that is J-E-S-U-S…
NO OTHER NAME DO I KNOW,
NO OTHER NAME BY WHICH THERE IS SALVATION TO THE LOST, The weak, the hurting and the helpless!
THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS THIS AFTERNOON and THE KNOWLEDGE THERE OF IS “WE NEED JESUS!”
More now than ever before!
Definition 2 of the word “TRUTH” is:
“conformity with fact or reality; verity:”
The problem… and I’m not here to point out everyones issues or problems but I’m here to tell you the TRUTH, the FACTUALLITY of the REALITY of the state that we are in at this time…
The Problem with the Church today or as we call “The Body of Christ” is they have attempted to CONFORM to a lie…
You say PASTOR! What in the world are you saying?
Let’s be real, we turn on CNN, MSNBC, FOX NEWS, Local News 2, 3, 8, 11, 14, 28, channel 152…
And we listen to the garbage that they deal out and instead of praying about it and seeking the truth of what we need to know; usually people conform to in…
Where you going with this pastor…
There are people in church houses this hour conforming to whatever is being handed out behind pulpits of deceivers, liars, blasphemers, scoffers, and instead of running from it; they are running to it because instead of opening their ears to hear, SEEKING OUT THE TRUTH of the Word of the most high GOD for themselves, they instead lean upon EVERY word that proceeds from the mouth of a man; rather than the mouth of GOD…
This morning IF IT’S NOT COMING / BEING PREACHED STRAIGHT OUT OF THIS BOOK RIGHT HERE, THE HOLY BIBLE…
IT IS TRASH and it deserves to be thrown away!
THE TRUTH IS THIS MORNING WE NEED TO CONFORM TO THE TRUTH OF THE WORD AND THE STATEMENTS THAT PROCEED FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD RATHER THAN LEANING TO MEN AND WOMEN on which the Bible says; “will undeniably FAIL”
I’m not saying not to listen to you preacher, or Pastor Nancy or I…
You need to listen to & Pray for your leaders…
But ultimately make sure that what they are speaking into your life is THE WORD and not things conformed by the world!
Can I get an amen on that Truth & Revelation right there?
Somebody give your neighbor a high five and tell them “I am coming, To the knowledge of the truth, TODAY!” Amen!
Definition 3 of “TRUTH;
“a verified or indisputable fact, proposition, principle, or the like:”
2nd Timothy 3:8-9
Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: (Speaking of the list we read off in 2nd timothy 2-5) Men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.
“THE CHARACTER AND EMPTY RELIGION OF FALSE TEACHERS WILL ULTIMATELY BE EXPOSED”
Numbers 32:23
“But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the Lord; and be sure your sin will find you out”
The undisputable fact today is;
Sin cannot take residence in the body of a saint of God.
A Sinner WILL NOT,
Just being a GOOD MAN,
Just giving to your Church,
Just Coming to Church on Sunday,
Just “Playing the role” of a Christian,
WILL NOT GET YOU TO HEAVEN!
John 3:1-7
1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
This salvation & Born again experience can only happen through and by THE TRUTH, THE WORD, THE MESSIAH, OUR SAVIOR and BY HIS BLOOD that was shed on a Cross over 2000 years ago!
Colossians 2:13 “And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses.”
Through the shedding of Jesus Blood,
Through the sacrifice of God ONLY BEGOTTEN SON,
Through and by the nails being hammered into his hands and his feet,
By the crown of thorns being pressed down into his skull,
By the cat of nine tails being lashed upon his back,
By the skin being torn from his body,
“WE ARE MADE ALIVE, AND THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL CAN RESIDE INSIDE OF OUR HEARTS”
IF WE WOULD ONLY COME AND RECEIVE HIM AS OUR LORD AND SAVIOR THIS AFTERNOON!
The Greatest tragedy is not death, but it is that we as Human people do not FIND LIFE through and by our savior Jesus Christ!
THAT MY FRIENDS is “THE KNOWLEDGE OF TRUTH”
We are living in perilous times and amoung Perilous men…
Don’t be one of them today!
Would you come this afternoon and accept Jesus Christ into you heart!
Come to know the Truth, Because it is the Truth that will set us free!
