Exodus 4:28”Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD with which He had sent him, and all the signs that He had commanded him to do.”
So what happens when you have a magnificent encounter with God or you receive a profound prophecy regarding your assignment, which you know in your spirit is for you from God and then after that you got to come back to normal life? Tell me. You have met God in an intimate way and you are saturated with His presence; yet, you cannot tell everyone about it. Anybody with me? Even if you say, they would either consider you proud, nuts or crazy, you would be guffawed, mocked and ridiculed.
Next, when God sends you on an assignment, never assume it’s going to be hunky-dory from the word go, someone needs to hear me today, this is prophetic stuff. When we relocated from Chennai to Hyderabad with pristine instructions from God, we did not even have enough money to transport our goods, even after a year of moving, we were struggling to pay our house rent, I tell this so that someone out there gets the lesson. Well, the owner, who is a Bible-reading- Christian spoke very rudely to me and on one particular day, he asked me, ‘if God spoke to you and commanded you to go to Hyderabad, then He would not allow you to go through such financial problems,’ I smiled at him and felt sad about his limited knowledge of God and His ways. Who said you would be exempted from sufferings, persecutions, humiliation, loneliness, failure and financial crunch just because you obeyed God and moved forward? But He has promised to help us through it, (Hebrews 13:6) “…for He Himself has said, "I will never leave you, nor will I ever forsake you.”
Look at Moses, despite an awesome and breath-taking encounter with God in a burning bush, Moses faces severe opposition, hindrances, and people refuse to listen to him even after they see some astounding miracles. Moses cried, (Exodus 5:22) "O Lord, why have You brought harm to this people? Why did You ever send me? How does one comprehend the ways of God when things nose-dive even after your commitment , determination and obedience to God? My answer would be: “God works out things with the perspective of eternal glory and long term benefits.” God offers no junk food, He offers manna that would nourish the body and soul. He promises to bless not just your ‘today’ but ten generations, if only you would obey His commandments. (Deuteronomy 5:10)
