I came across a sign post sometimes ago which says:
"Be kind For everyone you meet is fighting a battle."
“Fighting a battle” in this context means facing one problem or the other.
There are people including Christians facing the problem of bereavement, joblessness, barrenness, sicknesses, marital turbulence, immigration issues, financial problems, business failure .etc.
One of the things we should realise is, even though we are faithful Christians, problems will come and battles will have to be fought.
Job 14:1 says: "Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble." .
It means since we are human ,none of us is exempted from troubles. As Christians, we must recognise this and deal with it the best we can.
we must learn to trust God and acknowledge that the circumstances we are facing will work out for our favour. (Romans 8:28).
How do we handle problems in life?
we must realise that the problems we face in life are only temporary and will end some day.
2 Corinthians 4:8-12 says: We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed
Life is a series of problem-solving opportunities. The problems you face will either defeat you or develop you depending on how you handle them.
We need to realise that God wants to use problems for good in our lives and it is very important for us to pause and consider what benefit they might bring.
I remembered when Britain had referendum to leave or remain in the EU and Brexit won, it came as a shock to many . But one of the political leaders said what the country need at that moment was to remain "calm".
I've also heard great business tycoon saying they need to keep "calm" first when they are experiencing business failures.
I have learnt to remain calm when facing life problems, because I know I serve a living God who is able to deliver and turn the situation around for my favour .This has also builds my faith.
WHAT TO DO IN TIME OF PROBLEM
1. Keep calm and take things easy
2. Pray and seek God's guidance
3. Seach the scripture to see how related problems were solved
4.Ask for God's wisdom
5. List out all the possible way to solve the problem.
6. Do not blame yourself or anyone else for your problem.
7. Do not take your anger out on anyone else
8. Follow God's lead and direction.
9. Rejoice and praise God (James 1:2-4)
10. Do not rush into making a quick decision or judgement .
GOD CAN USE THE PROBLEMS IN OUR LIFE IN THE FOLLOWING WAY:
1. To DIRECT and change us. (Pr. 20:30)
2. To INSPECT us just like Job.
3. To CORRECT us . (Ps. 119:71-72)
4. To PROTECT us - (Gen. 50:20)
5. To PERFECT us as we learn from experience .
6. To learn how to be patient:(James 1:2-3)
I pray for you today that every spirit of poverty, hardship, bad luck, failure, rejection, delay in marriages, barreness, sickness, marital turbulence and death shall be destroyed in your life in the name if Jesus.
Every instrument of wickedness assigned against you shall backfire and go back to the sender in the name of Jesus.
Please give your life to Jesus if you have not yet done so by praying this prayers:
(Lord Jesus I confess my sins to you today come into my life and forgive my sins .Give me the power to sin no more in Jesus name. Amen )
