While the Jews could not see the excellence in Him that they should build upon Him, in raising Him from the dead God made Him the headstone of the corner, the foundation of the church. To the rejector He is now a stumbling stone. At His second coming He is the stone cut out without hands which is to fall upon and crush the unbelieving nations.

VIII. MAIN BODY:
Psalms 118:6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
A. The LORD is on my side.
"The Lord is on my side;"
In the Old Testament, the LORD GOD is with us, that is He goes before us, and our rear guard. But in the New Testament, the LORD GOD made our bodies and our spirit His dwelling place. CHRIST JESUS, GOD, and the HOLY SPIRIT is inside our bodies, our hearts & minds (soul) and in our spirit.
Isaiah 52:12 For you will not go out with haste, nor will you go in flight [as was necessary when Israel left Egypt]; for the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.
Isaiah 58:8 Then shall your light break forth like the morning, and your healing (your restoration and the power of a new life) shall spring forth speedily; your righteousness (your rightness, your justice, and your right relationship with God) shall go before you [conducting you to peace and prosperity], and the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not discern {and} understand that you [the whole church at Corinth] are God's temple (His sanctuary), and that God's Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you [to be at home in you, collectively as a church and also individually]?
1 Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own,
Colossians 1:27 To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within {and} among you, the Hope of [realizing the] glory.
Colossians 3:16 Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] {and} dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish {and} train one another in all insight {and} intelligence {and} wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts.
All we need to do now is be conscious that the FULL GOD HEAD lives within us, that will keep us away from sin and do the righteousness that GOD intended us to do.
Philippians 2:13 [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure {and} satisfaction {and} delight.
As JESUS is, so are we.
1 John 4:17 In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion {and} attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD.
Psalms 97:11 Light is sown for the [uncompromisingly] righteous {and} strewn along their pathway, and joy for the upright in heart [the irrepressible joy which comes from CONSCIOUSNESS of His favor and protection].
If the LORD JESUS is within us, dwells within us, the Seed of Abraham that dwells within us, hence; even at this time and age, we are called Abraham's descendants, children of blessings and faith coming from GOD, then the more we serve Him, the more we fear Him, to worship Him, knowing apart from Him, His indwelling Presence we are nothing, knowing that apart from GOD, we have no righteousness in ourselves that will make us acceptable to GOD.
Deuteronomy 8:18 But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
John 15:5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.
Isaiah 54:17 But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness {or} the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and brave. Don’t be afraid of them and don’t be frightened, because the Lord your God will go with you. He will not leave you or forget you.
Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be satisfied with what you have. God has said, "I will never leave you; I will never forget you."
B. I will not fear, what can man do to me?
"I will not fear. What can man do to me?"
The LORD said that the worst thing men can do to you is to kill you but afterwards are already powerless against you.
Matthew 10:28 And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; but rather be afraid of Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell (Gehenna).
Luke 12:5 But I will warn you whom you should fear: fear Him Who, after killing, has power to hurl into hell (Gehenna); yes, I say to you, fear Him!
It's because of these verses that's why GOD Alone deserves our fear, because fear is one of the elements of worship. We are not to fear men who can only kill us afterwards can do no longer anything against us, but GOD can kill your body and kill your soul in hell. We ought to put all our reverential fear to GOD Alone who deserves all fears.
Acts 2:43 And a sense of awe (reverential fear) came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were performed through the apostles (the special messengers).
Acts 9:31 So the church throughout the whole of Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was edified [growing in wisdom, virtue, and piety] and walking in the respect {and} reverential fear of the Lord and in the consolation {and} exhortation of the Holy Spirit, continued to increase {and} was multiplied.
Acts 10:35 But in every nation he who venerates {and} has a reverential fear for God, treating Him with worshipful obedience and living uprightly, is acceptable to Him {and} sure of being received and welcomed [by Him].
2 Corinthians 7:1 THEREFORE, SINCE these [great] promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates {and} defiles body and spirit, and bring [our] consecration to completeness in the [reverential] fear of God.
1 Timothy 2:10 But by doing good deeds (deeds in themselves good and for the good and advantage of those contacted by them), as befits women who profess reverential fear for {and} devotion to God.
IX. CONCLUSION:
Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You are within me and always by my side, that's all I need in this life to know.
HALLELUJAH!!
