POWER: ITS SOURCE AND HOW TO OBTAIN IT
“God has spoken once…power belongs to God.”
Psalm 62:11.
The great need in Christian work is power. What power? God’s power, at work within us and through us is the catalyst that changes the world around us.
God is the SOURCE of power.
He calls us to put away sin.
He calls us to be united with him.
He calls us to have faith.
The power is PROVIDED.
He gives us the Holy Spirit.
It is the Spirit that Unites us to God.
It is the Spirit that Seals us.
God calls us to yield to His Spirit.
The Power is EFFECTIVE.
The Gospel is the POWER of God for salvation.
We must believe the Gospel will do what it proclaims.
The Holy Spirit interprets the Word and guides us into truth.
