2 Chronicles 32:23”And many were bringing gifts to the LORD at Jerusalem and choice presents to Hezekiah king of Judah, so that he was exalted in the sight of all nations thereafter.”
Do you think God will forget all that you have been doing for Him? Tell me. No way. Every act of yours is recorded and noted by the King and you will be rewarded aptly. I said aptly. Well, at times, life does seem eerie, scary, lonely and insecure, we’ve all been there at some point or the other, agree? However, today’s message comes to hammer down the truth that no matter what the situation stay rooted in Christ. That’s what I’ve learnt from life and from my decade and half experience of serving the Lord. He will never ever forget you!
Look, how cruel life suddenly changed for king Hezekiah who was a righteous and upright king; Sennacherib king of Assyria came and invaded Judah and besieged the fortified cities, he also wrote letters to insult the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against Him, the enemy also mocked, cursed and taunted king Hezekiah. Things like this can just jostle us, life can be really, really cruel at times, people living cute lives will never understand my feelings. Recently I went bonkers during the time of worship and during some portion of delivering my sermon at the recently held AIC camp, I was just bawling and weeping, not because of sorrow but because of gratitude towards my Dad for being with me all the time. Yes all the time. Wait until I get to the end of the message, only then would you understand the Father heart of God. Delays have reasons. That word is for someone out there. Embrace delays, there is heavy learning in it.
Well, Hezekiah goes and prostrates in front of the Lord and takes his pain to God. God heard and saw it all. Are you listening? People are watching your attitude during times of crisis, they get their lessons through you. Are you cursing or praising? Finally when the LORD sent an angel who destroyed every mighty warrior silently during the night, the people were awed! They were witness to every bit of it and they glorified God and lauded king Hezekiah. The Bible says, ‘he was exalted in the sight of all nations thereafter.’ Sometimes God delays and when the situation looks unmanageable and uncontrollable, the Master walks in to squash it. Ah! Did I not say God would reward you enormously, immeasurably and profusely?
Our inverter battery and LCD projector at our Shiloh Revival Church both got damaged and we were suffering because during worship we use the LCD projector to display songs and our inverter battery was necessary because of frequent electricity failure in our area, in order to avoid disturbance, we were also praying for an air-conditioner. We were praying every day for a miracle and every Sunday the church members gathered after church and we prayed. The amount looked huge and the necessity was immediate; however, God worked amazingly and we got all of them during a short span of time by His grace and power. The church was a witness to this awesome goodness of God and still they refer to it while there’s a need in the Church. Delays and then deliverance helps us to get a glimpse of God’s power!
