5 Moses was certainly faithful in God’s house as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later. 6 But Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.[a]
1. Moses is an illustration of Jesus, Moses reps Jesus and Hebrews represent the church
A. We were born slaves
B. The Deliver has come
C. We don’t find ourselves in the Promise land yet, but this is our wilderness experience
2. Very little that’s born in Egypt can go with you into Promise Land
a. We still have Egypt in us
b. We complain about the things we can no longer do
c. We still bow to Gods of our bondage when it seems as though the deliver is taking too long
3. The Deliver in Egypt and provision in the wilderness
a. Sustenance, Manna from Heaven = The Bible
b. Guidance, The cloud by day and fire at night= Holy Spirit
Altar: Maybe you feel like a slave this morning
1. You know longer have to be a slave: Sin, fear, anxiety
2. Maybe there’s some stuff in you that needs to die
3. Maybe you have gotten off track
