Faith verses Common Sense
Text: 2 Corinthians 5:7, Hebrews 11:1-3
When we look at the word Faith and common sense we must realize they are different in comparison for faith is in the realm of the Spiritual and common sense is in the realm of the natural, you cannot bring the spiritual into the natural or the natural into the spiritual.
What is the Natural? And what is the Spiritual?
1) Let us look at the Natural
a)In the natural things can be seen, felt, and smelled for we know that a chair is there because we can see it and feel it yes things that are natural or tangible can be seen felt and sometime even smelled.
Beloved we have so many people walking by sight, walking by what they can see or what is in front of them. When we look at the woman with the issue of blood in St. Mark 5:25-34 we see a woman who did not walk by what she saw or might of thought was true for if she did she would not have received her healing yes fact 1) doctors gave her up to die 2) she had a internal infirmity 3) its uncureable 4) no hope to live.
Common sense says prepare your will, make funeral arrangements for 1) it is incurable 2) doctors have thrown up there hands so now just wait on the death angel but she look beyond the natural, she look beyond what is or what could be and she began to will be for the Scripture said that she said “if I just but touch the hem of his garment I KNOW I will be made whole beloved her faith kick in and she began to see into the spiritual realm, here is where the saints of God has a problem from the pulpit to the door they cannot get beyond the natural, they cannot get beyond what is before them and the begin to speak words of doubt and unbelief.
Beloved you have to let faith kick in and say like Paul for walk by faith and not by sight. We must speak those things that be not as though they are and faith will win every time.
