WHAT THE HEART OF THE GOSPEL IS.
Romans5: 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
(1) Because of Condemnation.
We are sinners by birth
We are sinners by choice
We are sinners by practice
(2) By Commendation
The Lord loved us
God loved us before we loved him
He loved us in spite of our sins and shortcomings
God loved us without selfish thoughts or motives
(3) Consummation
Christ died for us
Christ died to redeem us from all our sins
Christ died to reconcile us to God
Christ died to be buried.
To be raised from the dead
Ascend into heaven
To send the Holy Spirit to regenerate our soul
