Hosea 4:6 (Amplified Bible)
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS because the heartbreak of GOD will be stronger within me to use this to strengthen and motivate me more to share YOU to the lost.

The Lord gave this message to Hosea son of Beeri during the years when Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah were kings of Judah, and Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.

Approximately 715 b.c. recording the events of his ministry which stretched from about 755 b.c. to 710 b.c.

To reveal God's unconditional love, especially illustrated in contrast to the sinful harlotry of His people.

VIII. MAIN BODY:
Hosea 4:6 (Amplified Bible)
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

A. Root cause of destruction: Because we have rejected GOD'S knowledge - WORDS OF GOD
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me;"
GOD is very clear on this one, we are destroyed because of our own doing, our own initiative, because we have rejected Him, and therefore we have rejected everything He has to say. People are sensitive, they don't want to be offended and be hurt, well what's the solution, GOD will allow them in their own thinking and will not "push" Himself to them.

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their [own] hearts to sexual impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves [abandoning them to the degrading power of sin],
The LORD JESUS is a Gentleman, He will not push Himself if He is rejected. He will move on to the next sinner. A very sad story on GOD'S nature but it's true, the LORD JESUS CHRIST is a Hopeless Romantic, He died for the people that rejected Him.
John 1:10-12 (Amplified Bible)
He came into the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him [did not know Him].
He came to that which belonged to Him [to His own—His domain, creation, things, world], and they who were His own did not receive Him and did not welcome Him.
But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—
I pity the people so I constantly share GOD'S WORDS to them, to save us from this perishing generation and world, but to my dismay and amazement, they won't accept the Solution - the LORD JESUS in their lives. All I can give them is pity without help, pity without results, and it breaks my heart. How can they reject Grace?
Isaiah 1:3 (Amplified Bible)
The ox [instinctively] knows his owner, and the donkey his master’s crib, but Israel does not know or recognize Me [as Lord], My people do not consider or understand.
If I'm amazed at people who continue to reject GOD but take His goodness into themselves, but I am more amazed at GOD who continues to give them grace without limit though He knows when they die, they will go to hell, because of their own decisions and choice. They can no longer blame GOD because their eyes will be opened because the flesh or body will be removed and the soul with all it's emotions and five feelings will grow stronger without a "shell" or body then they will realize who they have rejected, not me, but the LORD JESUS CHRIST. This makes me sad all the more but it's too late for that time because they are already immortal in their soul, no mortality anymore to plead for GOD'S Grace.
"Listen" to GOD'S WORDS as the LORD JESUS pours out His Heart to our hearts, it breaks my heart, how much more the heart of GOD. GOD the LORD JESUS is suffering from heart break.
GOD compared Himself to the an ox owner and donkey's master:
1. Ox owner and Donkey's master - two of strongest animal, one with strength, but no mind, (mind of CHRIST) and the other can be ridden for hours without water (JESUS) but they know who are their owners and masters but GOD'S people does not know JESUS. Heart breaks of GOD.
Isaiah 1:3 (Amplified Bible)

GOD compared knowing Him to the migration of the stork. Israel missed the Savior and by GOD'S Grace they will still GOD'S WORDS being preached in the tribulation period by 144,00 Israelites as well, hoping that that time they will change their minds toward GOD and toward JESUS. (the Messiah)
Jeremiah 8:7 (Amplified Bible)
[Even the migratory birds are punctual to their seasons.] Yes, the stork [excelling in the great height of her flight] in the heavens knows her appointed times [of migration], and the turtledove, the swallow, and the crane observe the time of their return. But My people do not know the law of the Lord [which the lower animals instinctively recognize in so far as it applies to them].
EFFECTS OF REJECTION OF THE WORD OF GOD BY GOD'S PEOPLE:
1. Children rule over GOD'S people and women rule over them.
Isaiah 3:12 (Amplified Bible)
As for My people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My people, your leaders cause you to err, and they confuse (destroy and swallow up) the course of your paths.
Example: children as young as 12 years old are being trained to hold a machine gun, and they are mostly patrolling Israel today. The rise of many lesbians holding office in the middle east and in the government of Israel.
2. Israel are held captive in their land. The mosque is in the center of Jerusalem instead of the temple of GOD.
Isaiah 5:13 (Amplified Bible)
Therefore My people go into captivity [to their enemies] without knowing it and because they have no knowledge [of God]. And their honorable men [their glory] are famished, and their common people are parched with thirst.
3. Israel is being chastised in their land and muslims are ruling their land instead of them.
Jeremiah 4:22 (Amplified Bible)
[Their chastisement will continue until it has accomplished its purpose] for My people are stupid, says the Lord [replying to Jeremiah]; they do not know and understand Me. They are thickheaded children, and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge [and know not how].
4. Israel are consulting idols instead of GOD.
Hosea 4:12 (Amplified Bible)
My people [habitually] ask counsel of their [senseless] wood [idols], and their staff [of wood] gives them oracles and instructs them. For the spirit of harlotry has led them astray and they have played the harlot, withdrawing themselves from subjection to their God.
Example: in the workplace, when people said a "bad" thing, they will knock on wood, but they won't pray to GOD. The wood has the power to reverse their destiny. Foolish isn't it?
B. Forgotten the law of GOD, GOD will forget our children
"seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children"
Hosea 8:14 (Amplified Bible)
For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces and idol temples, and Judah has multiplied fortified cities; but I will send a fire upon his cities and it shall devour his palaces and fortified buildings.
Hosea 13:6 (Amplified Bible)
According to their pasture, so were they filled [when they fed, they grew full], and their heart was lifted up; therefore have they forgotten Me.
Psalms 119:61 (Amplified Bible)
Though the cords of the wicked have enclosed and ensnared me, I have not forgotten Your law.
What a terrible consequence? That GOD will forget our children (our treasures) if we forget/reject His WORDS.
ILLUSTRATION:
I see fathers going abroad and they are left without a church going to Middle East, now the mother is left to take care of his child, and they two go to church every week, but the mother was amazed why his son is a rebellious son? It's no surprize, it's consequence because the father chose money over relationship with the LORD, and can't go to church, (rejected GOD'S WORDS and chose money more than the WORD OF GOD)
IX. CONCLUSION:
Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS because the heartbreak of GOD will be stronger within me to use this to strengthen and motivate me more to share YOU to the lost.
