A. Who will descend into the abyss to bring CHRIST up from the dead?
"Or who will descend into the abyss? that is, to bring Christ up from the dead"
No creation of GOD can do this, even angels. What Apostle Paul is saying is that he wanted to confirm the mystery of salvation by faith to all humans, up to the extreme of Heaven and Hell. Salvation is not of works but by of faith. Simply presenting the gospel in it's purest form makes plain who is bound to go to heaven and bound to go to hell.
1 Corinthians 1:18 (Amplified Bible)
For the story and message of the cross is sheer absurdity and folly to those who are perishing and on their way to perdition, but to us who are being saved it is the [manifestation of] the power of God.
It is made more simpler by the gospel actually, to those who will believe the LORD JESUS CHRIST of the gospel, the Center of the gospel, will go to heaven, and if you don't then you go to hell. It's as simple as that. Either black or white, but this wicked, perverted generation has made it more difficult for people to decide. Either you're male or female, but they made it, difficult, now you like a male, but you're a female. Disgusting, perverts, they made GOD's creation an abomination in GOD'S sight. It's either holy or evil, please stay within the vicinity of GOD'S love and creation for you to understand this. It's either heaven or hell, saved or not saved, believer or unbeliever, that's about it. It's that plain and simple.
B. As if we could be saved by our own efforts.
"[as if we could be saved by our own efforts]"
Romans 4:25 (Amplified Bible)
Who was betrayed and put to death because of our misdeeds and was raised to secure our justification (our acquittal), [making our account balance and absolving us from all guilt before God].
Hebrews 13:20 (Amplified Bible)
Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament),
1 Peter 3:18 (Amplified Bible)
For Christ [the Messiah Himself] died for sins once for all, the Righteous for the unrighteous (the Just for the unjust, the Innocent for the guilty), that He might bring us to God. In His human body He was put to death, but He was made alive in the spirit,
1 Peter 3:22 (Amplified Bible)
[And He] has now entered into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with [all] angels and authorities and powers made subservient to Him.
Revelation 1:18 (Amplified Bible)
And the Ever-living One [I am living in the eternity of the eternities]. I died, but see, I am alive forevermore; and I possess the keys of death and Hades (the realm of the dead).
No creature efforts can save us, only by the blood and body of JESUS, we can be saved from hell and second death.
Titus 3:5 (Amplified Bible)
He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing [bath] of the new birth (regeneration) and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
Ephesians 2:8-9 (Amplified Bible)
For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;
Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]
Isaiah 64:6 (Amplified Bible)
For we have all become like one who is unclean [ceremonially, like a leper], and all our righteousness (our best deeds of rightness and justice) is like filthy rags or a polluted garment; we all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away [far from God’s favor, hurrying us toward destruction].
Still our own efforts can saved us, because of this sinful nature, all we have to do is die for our sins, but we have our Savior the LORD JESUS CHRIST believe in Him and in His finished work on the cross of calvary and be saved from your sins, and hell itself.
There's no other way, why are people on this generation are always looking for other ways, only JESUS CHRIST is the WAY to GOD.
Acts 4:12 (Amplified Bible)
And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.
John 14:6 (Amplified Bible)
Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.
Philippians 2:10-11 (Amplified Bible)
That in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
And every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
IX. CONCLUSION:
Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You have already done all things that I can't do and helpless to do, but I can only believe in You and in Your finished work on the cross.
