STRENGTHEN THE WEAK
MAIN TEXT: LUKE 22:32
“But I have prayed for thee that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren”.
There are times when situations and challenges of life will set in and weaken one’s faith and belief. The devil may desire to have the righteous even the man of God. He desired to have Peter, Jesus’ strong disciple. Jesus saw it and told Peter; Peter did not believe it and Jesus told him when you repent and are converted, you will receive power to strengthen your brethren.
When your brother or sister is weak, don’t join the devil to destroy him/her, pray for him as Jesus did. Even in physical things, Paul admonished the Ephesians’ elders, “I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said it is more blessed to give than to receive. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, be strong, fear not; behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with recompense, He will come and save you. Encourage one another.
Look out today for someone to strengthen. Help build someone’s faith today and you will never lose your reward in Jesus name.
In our work with Christ, our faith and spiritual levels differ. Our growth speed also differs. We must always bear this truth in mind in relating with others brethren. Do you see or consider yourself strong? Then you have a responsibility towards those that are weak. You have an obligation to bear with failings of others whom we have to do while correcting them in love. Whatever you discover as a weakness of another, don’t make a song to be singing to that person or others around. Pray, admonish and keep praying for them. They are still also clay in the hand of the God.
YOUR WEAKNESS IS NOT YOUR WEAKNESS, YOU ARE STRONG
