Matthew 6:21 (King James Version)
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
A. Where your treasure is?
"For where your treasure is,"
Treasure or "thesauros" in Greek language meaning: deposit or wealth.
ILLUSTRATION: I know a lot whose heart is in their career, job, ownership, properties or even in their pets well then sad to say that is where their heart is. When asked, what is my treasure, my answer is JESUS, why? Because there is my heart. This is very basic and yet very complicated. A lot of so-called CHRISTians nowadays left church for something else or for someone else. How sad? Because in their heart their treasure is not JESUS. It might be their career, and their job's schedule is in conflict with church, so guess what? what will they choose? Their job. An idol.
Isaiah 33:6 (Amplified Bible)
And there shall be stability in your times, an abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the reverent fear and worship of the Lord is your treasure and His.
Luke 12:34 (Amplified Bible)
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
2 Corinthians 4:18 (Amplified Bible)
Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting.
Our treasure is and every believer's treasure must be the reverent fear and worship of the LORD - that's it, or in short JESUS CHRIST- the Pearl of Great Price is our Treasure here on earth and in the new heavens and new earth that is to come.
B. Your heart will be there as well
"there will your heart be also"
Heart or "kardia" in Greek language meaning: thoughts or feelings, the heart. That is a human being's center. The heart.
Romans 7:5-7 (Amplified Bible)
When we were living in the flesh (mere physical lives), the sinful passions that were awakened and aroused up by [what] the Law [makes sin] were constantly operating in our natural powers (in our bodily organs, in the sensitive appetites and wills of the flesh), so that we bore fruit for death.
But now we are discharged from the Law and have terminated all intercourse with it, having died to what once restrained and held us captive. So now we serve not under [obedience to] the old code of written regulations, but [under obedience to the promptings] of the Spirit in newness [of life].
What then do we conclude? Is the Law identical with sin? Certainly not! Nevertheless, if it had not been for the Law, I should not have recognized sin or have known its meaning. [For instance] I would not have known about covetousness [would have had no consciousness of sin or sense of guilt] if the Law had not [repeatedly] said, You shall not covet and have an evil desire [for one thing and another].
Philemon 1:3 (Amplified Bible)
Grace (spiritual blessing and favor) be to all of you and [heart] peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).
Hebrews 3:12 (Amplified Bible)
[Therefore beware] brethren, take care, lest there be in any one of you a wicked, unbelieving heart [which refuses to cleave to, trust in, and rely on Him], leading you to turn away and desert or stand aloof from the living God.
Colossians 3:1-3 (Amplified Bible)
IF THEN you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.
For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.
Make JESUS CHRIST the Center of your heart just like what I've done. Other people only want JESUS as their Savior but not their LORD. JESUS CHRIST is both LORD and SAVIOR, He wants us to follow Him not to ignore His call when Sunday service is in schedule, follow the LORD JESUS and don't make excuses.
Matthew 7:22 (Amplified Bible)
Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name?
Since unbelievers of this world are accustomed to lying, they say things that will make them good in people's sight, but GOD knows their heart, they can't escaped now when they are in GOD's Presence they can still manage to utter a lie, like calling the One they cursed here on earth as LORD, but the LORD JESUS knows who are His. HALLELUJAH! They can lie to men like themselves but they can't lie to JESUS who is GOD - blessed forevermore.
John 10:3-4 (Amplified Bible)
The watchman opens the door for this man, and the sheep listen to his voice and heed it; and he calls his own sheep by name and brings (leads) them out.
When he has brought his own sheep outside, he walks on before them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice.
IX. CONCLUSION:
Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You are in the Center of my heart from where all life began, You are my Treasure, You are my Heart, LORD JESUS.
