DAGON MUST FALL
1st Samuel 5:2 –4
As I begin my sermon this evening I want you to know that real revival won’t happen
- except there is a paradigm shift back to the fundamental and orthodox principles of the Bible.
- And if we’re to see the Lord high and lifted up as Isaiah did, our highness must first be debased!
- Today many have BECAME TOO LOFTY in ministry, living a 2nd Timothy 3:1-5 life.
What I mean by lofty is that many have become besides themselves
- by setting up themselves in high place before God exalts them to such a place in Him.
- This is indeed the age of self-exaltation Church-wise.
By personal observation and truth, and no I'm not playing the race card but speaking a very concerned reality truth! But this an age in the African-American Church when
- HONORIFIC TITLES and SELF-EXALTED MINISTRY OFFICES ARE OVERSHADOWING OUR ABILITY TO ANY LONGER SEE THE MOST HIGH GOD! THERE IS A HIERARCHICAL BLOCKAGE!
(also an age where None African-American Churches are still steep in divisive institutional racism. That will be dealt with later).
This is an age when theological/seminary degrees are taking the place of real revelation knowledge,
- that we’d rather keenly exegete our sermons seminary-wise rather than ask God for revelation knowledge.
This is also an age of the messed up Church in many places
- committing fornication, lying or living an alternative altered-gender life style,
While those who are not guilty of those things,
- but yet are MOST ARROGANT and LOFTY IN MINISTRY.
We have become
- a SUPER MINISTRY TITLE GENERTION AND WE HAVE BECAME SIMPLY BESIDE OURSELVES!
THE HIERARCHY demon is on the loose and is running buck wild in many ministries!
- And many have built their own LOFTY TOWERS OF BABEL, THE ABOMINATION OF CONFUSION!
Paul exhorts us in 2nd Corinthians 10 verses 5 & 6 say,
- "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
Until some high imaginations are cast down,
- then real empowerment by the Holy Ghost to spark the flame of revival won’t take place!
How many believe the next great move of God is coming by humility?
- Therefore, lofty Church folks won’t be any of God’s ushers to usher in this next great move of God!
- The next great move will come via those who humble themselves before the mighty hand of God.
Allow me to read several texts concerning how God view lofty things that seek self-exaltation…
1st Samuel 5:2 –4 "And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod. When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the temple of dagon and set it by dagon. And when the people of Ashdod arose early in the morning, there was dagon, fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. So they took dagon and set it in its place again. And when they arose early the next morning, there was dagon, fallen on its face to the ground before the ark of the LORD. The head of dagon and both the palms of its hands were broken off on the threshold; only the torso of dagon was left of it.
Isaiah 2 verses 11 &17 says, "And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day."
Romans 14:11 “For it is written: ‘As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.’"
Sermonic Move #1: (Tower of Babel Preachers)
Here, the Philistine attempted to make dagon
- MORE LOFTY THAN Jehovah!
In fact, they thought this strange squared box with two angelic figurines on tip
- was kind of a strange image of a god since it did not have a facial bust of a man or animal…
- and perceived it to have no sort of power at all.
So they assumed this so call god-representative of the Israelites was not as lofty and as powerful as dagon.
- And to avoid insulting old dagon they decided to set this jehovic image below and dagon on the top.
- This would prove to be the most fatal error of any heathen nation who apposed the true and living God.
The text says…
- the idol god dagon of the Philistijne FELL TWICE BEFORE the Ark of the Lord and was IRREPARABLE broken!
Sermonic Subject:
For my subject tell one of your fellow worshippers, in order for the Church to survive involiable in the face of this faithless and adulterous generations…
- “Dagon Must Fall!”
Tell him or her…
- “If we are to become the Church that pleases God, our dagons must fall!”
How many know that when God comes on the scene…
- Things that are HIGH and LOFTY are going to FALL and be IRREPARABLE BROKEN?
I said when God comes on the scene
- Things that are HIGH and LOFTY are going to fall and be broken?
How many know that with God on the scene…
- satan’s power if broken?
I said…
- satan's power is broken!
And if it is NOT broken it was because
- too much flesh showed up!
not the flesh of lust, but of loftiness and other forms of flesh
- that forms the arm of the flesh and not the trust of God…)
But when flesh is debased and God is exalted
- satan’s power is broken!
The Philistines thought dagon was greater than the real
- but old dagon fell and was irreparable broken!
Just like some congregations thought by just having good Church and good preaching make the devil flee!
- No! He is shouting, hollering dancing, hook-uh-muh-sying and jumping pews along with you!
Tell your fellow worshippers again…
- “Dagon Must Fall!”
How many know
- dagon MUST fall!?
Whether you can accept this or not, many Congregations
- are coddling with dagons.
Having set themselves in
- LOFTY places! Especially the headship and leadership.
I did NOT say “heavenly places”
- but LOFTY places.
Having became a congregation of Philistines trusting in the arm of the flesh
- rather than the Arm of the Lord.
Not knowing their dagons are about to fall and their Goliah giant called prosperity is about to be confronted
- by God’s own David with a Rock of Ages in his slingshot.
If we’re to be God’s glorious Church in reality
- dagons must fall!
- Isaiah 2 verses 11 &17 says,..."And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day."
When the arm of the Lord is exalted
- the arm of the flesh will fail!
The text said that
- dagon fell TWICE as a result of the presence of God.
The reason why things that need to fall are not falling
- is because there is no real presence.
First, they sat the Ark beside dagon
- and dagon fell!
And then they sat dagon beside the Ark
- and dagon fell again –
But this time the stone idol of dagon
- was irreparable broken!
Dagon was like the TV commercial.
- I’M FALLEN AND I CAN’T GET UP
This shows that God is
- an exclusive God.
That He acknowledges no other god or anything else that
- would attempt to exalt itself, or equate itself to or above His Deity,
For He is an extremely jealous God:
- He is extremely jealous of His Deity,
- He is extremely jealous of His Sovereignty,
- He is extremely jealous of His glory,
- He is extremely jealous of His honor,
- He is extremely jealous of His knowledge.
- And even of His people.
I came to tell you this day that God is getting ready to clean house
- and all of the dagons are about to fall!
The Church is being taken over by
- a deified clergy of lofty men, prosperity preachers and homosexual.
So deified in their loftiness that some have even
- Taken to themselves the office and titles that belong exclusively to Jesus Christ!
- But God is going to get His Church back! I said that God is going to get His Church back! I don’t mean this in particular because He never lost it. I mean in general – those that took His name, His Bible, called themselves Christians, called themselves the Church, made themselves lofty,but yet perverted His word for their own sake, lived shabby lives, embezzled the people of their livelihood for their own sordid gain – that is the part of the Church God is going to get back!
- And He is going to overthrow everything that is not of Him!
I don’t know about you but I ready to see the Church of God
- return to its Pentecostal founding!
- To her fundamental Jesus-and apostolic doctrinal principles!
- How many know that some high things must come down?
- There can be only one Lofty One and that One is God!
Psalm 97:9 says,
- “For You O Lord are high above all the earth. You are exalted above all gods!”
- Therefore, dagon MUST FALL!
Historically dagon, the one of the major gods of the northwest Semites that occupied the land of Canaan. He was in the form of both man and fish. he was first and foremost the god of crop fertility in reference to grain and agriculture. he was worshipped by the early Amorites and became the chief god of the Biblical Philistines. The rest of the Canaanites tribes had a great devotion for dagon, but the Philistines had a passionate devotion for him.
To the Philistines he was not just the god of agricultural, he was also their god of war. Just as Israel depended on the Ark of the Covenant for success in military campaigns, the Philistines depended on dagon for success in war and they offered various sacrifices for his favor for a victorious battle.
Now dagon was one bad dude, but God Jehovah proved to be the baddest. For when dagon came face to face with Yahweh

So when the text spoke of dagon falling prostrate twice before the Ark of God it didn’t mean…
- dagon just leaned over or just tumble on his side! But he fell on his face twice and was violently broken. This is the kind of Kingdom Authority the Church needs at this hour, the supernatural ability to pull down the strongholds and overthrow the principalities of the devil.
How To Be Up and Prepared for Soon Coming Lord
Before we can be up and prepared for the soon Coming of Jesus Christ some high things must come down! We cannot see God because of our own loftiness and God cannot see us for our haughtiness. We cannot see Him from the cluster because of our own idols! God can’t see us when we worship Him from strange places and with strange doctrines. For how can we sing the Lord's song in a strange land!
Some high things must come down! The Church once sang a song that says, "satan, your kingdom must come down! you have build up your kingdom all over this world. satan, your kingdom must come down!"
The Church hardly sings songs like that any more because many places have issued him a building permit to renovate and add onto their spiritual lot: But I declare that dagon must fall!
A Total Recall for a Total Return to True Orthodoxy
It is time for the Church to return to true orthodoxy, to the faith that was once delivered once and for all to the saints. True orthodoxy:
Jeremiah declared in chapter 6 and verse16 “This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient (eternal) paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, 'We will not walk in it.'
Comment: We need to offer the people the ancient path again and point to the good way. And it they refuse to walk in it the blood will be on their hands. But they are not being offered the ancient path – Instead, they are being offered an alternative route, a detour, and exit ramp! But the ancient path is what we need!
As far as I am concerned the Church needs to be called back to Holiness, Righteousness, Faithfulness and Truth. When I say call back I mean a total recall because some folks have been sent out with defects. And on the road to glory they are causing spiritual road hazards.
- There are some with defective Steering Wheels. They are steering folk in the wrong directions...
- There are some with defective Brakes. They can’t stop dealing with the world, flesh and devil...
- There are some with defective Lights. Their low beams are working but their high beams are not. And when they are on the way to mess up somebody they are not clearly seen until they are too close to avoid a head on collision.
Therefore, I believe therer ought to be a total recall for the Church; a total recall back to Holiness, Righteousness, Faithfulness and Truth.
Foundational Stone Movers
We have gone away from the ancient path by moving the boundaries of the Word and shifting the parameters of righteousness into a form of godliness that denies God’s power to be effective.
Proverbs 22:28 says, “Do not move an ancient boundary stone set up by your forefathers.”
Comment: Christendom is guilty of stone moving!
- We have moved the stone of sound doctrine!
- We have moved the stone of true holiness!
- We have moved the stone of plain truth!
- We have moved the stone of the faith that was once delivered to the saints!
God is saying tonight, “Put the ancient boundary stones back into their original spots.
And instead of manipulating the boundaries of true Christianity we ought to be overthrowing the modern dagons and every other high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and allow the Lord alone to be exalted!
Josiah’s Destruction Campaign
The Bible said that when Josiah ascended to the Throne of Judah/Israel? He tore down the high places of his father and uprooted the groves and asherath poles, he destroyed the temples of prostitution and burned the pagan temples and priests who worshipped the starry hosts.
I would to God that there were some Josiahs around today that would declared without fear, “satan, your kingdom and all of your mess must come down! Dagon must fall!”
Pretty Platitudes to Validate satan’s Religious Infiltration
Some Churches will rationalize when they want to do something unscriptural. They will surmise, "though there is no Bible for this but if we do this I think more people will join our assemble! God will understand!” No! God will not understand abominations!
Some will say, If I hold this event and not make it too churchy more people will come and support us!
If I preach more on crass materialism more than I preach on the blood sacrifice and cross of Jesus more of the politically powerful and wealthy will want to be a part of us!
Where is the Preaching on Idolatry?
You see the Church today seems to make every other sin a regular sermonic point accept the sin of idolatry. And whether you know it or not and whether you will admit to it or not, there is a prevailing spirit of idolatry among Christendom that is being promoted through strange doctrines, strange ceremonies, strange commemoration, strange festivals and overstressed ministerial titles and positions. But dagon must fall and some high things must come down!
Because of this prevailing spirit of dagon Is why we have in the Church
- … more playboys than prophets!
- … more sissies than servants!
- … more soothsayers than seers!
- … more testiliars than testifiers!
- …more prophelying than prophesying!
- … more prayer wimps than prayer warriors!
- … more phonies that the anointed!
- … more theatrics than the apostolic!
- … more compromise than conviction!
- … more sacrilege than sacrifice!
- … more rebellion than relationships!
- … more slothfulness than faithfulness!
- … more procrastination than motivation!
Because of this spirit of dagon, like the late RW Shambach…
- The world done got churchy and the Church done got worldly
Tell somebody,
- "fake folk got to go"
No More Excuses!
It’s time to run to the altar and grab hold to the horns of the altar and cry out, "No more excuses for my sins Lord!"
It Pagan, But Adopt It and Sanctify It, Practice and Observe It!
The Protestant Church are now practicing what the Roman Catholic made famous in profane history and that is the practice of sanctification by adoption.
We know that it is unholy and that there is no biblical authority or apostolic warrant to sanction it, but we'll make a pretty platitude statement to make folk feel guilty so that it would be easy for them to accept it. We’ll lament, "I know that it is not in the Bible but it sure was nice that they thought of such a nice thing to honor Jesus." Pretty platitudes are not good enough! God is calling His Church back to true orthodoxy!
I don't care how much you call HIP HOP Holy Hip Hop it is still HIP-HOP! It was invented by the devil! You may sanctified it by adoption, but you cannot sanctify it holy! I am not just picking on HIP-HOP, but there are other practices, and doctrines and feasts we preach and observe that have nothing to do with real orthodox Christianity.
The Bible saying in 1st Corinthians 10, "Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils." And because some among the Church have been trying to keep God and dagon on the same shelf no wonder we can no longer pant after the waterbrook and thirst for the Living God because many have been drinking the wine of the cup of Revelation 17, It is either dagon or Yahweh! Therefore, choose ye this day whom you will serve!
God Is Extremely Jealous
The Bible also speaks of Him as being a jealous God who is tolerant with humanity but at the same time totally rejects spiritual and moral infidelity.
"For the Lord, whose name is jealous, is a jealous God."—says, Exodus 34:14.
I. THE LORD IS EXCEEDINGLY JEALOUS OF HIS DEITY
II. The Lord IS JEALOUS OF HIS SOVEREIGNTY.
III. THE LORD IS JEALOUS OF HIS GLORY
IV. In the highest sense, THE LORD IS JEALOUS OVER HIS OWN PEOPLE.
So now then, in order to honor God we must reject all other gods and every other thing that exalts itself in that manner and worship alone the Lord God of heaven. Am I right about that? But this is not the case…
Move #1: - Age of Self-Exaltation
…because we are living in an age of exaltation! I don’t mean the exaltation of God, but the exaltation of self and self-composed religious ideologies based in human philosophies that are now being preached from pulpit to pulpit and from one religious venue another labeled the true gospel which Paul says in Galatians 1 which is really not the gospel but a polluted one.
This is indeed a lofty age where God has been debased and carnal self lifted up. It seem that in almost every religious venue you visit there is a spirit of worldly pride and vainglory, thousands are showing up just to see the human vessel and not the God that is supposed to be in them. They are not showing up for the message – They are showing up for the miracle. They want the miracle but not the message. And that is the trouble. Too many preachers want to give the people a miracle but not the message. They are trying to build God’s house out of sand in a windstorm.
The masses are not coming out to hear the real born again Holy Ghost preachers – they are showing to hear the Oscar and Emmy nominated ones! We won’t show up on the night when the preacher from East Boundary here in Augusta is preaching, but on the night the one from Decatur of suburban Atlanta preaches the Church will be filled to standing room only.
God, why didn’t you saluted me? Everybody else does!
We have even exalted our ecclesiastical offices and titles into a hierarchical rank that not even God can wear. I don’t mean to sound vain, but some of who calls themselves pastors, bishops, apostles and prophets if God met us on the sidewalk and did not salute us as the private salutes his company commander we would have the audacity to attempt to make Him lock his heels and get down and give us 100 pushups. Why? Because too many standing in ecclesiastical offices believe that they are all of that and a bar-bee-cued watermelon sandwich on a barley loaf!
I don’t mean to sound like a heresy hunter. But the order of God is being cast down and the old order of the satanic mystery religious is being raised up again! But I come to this great convention to declare that dagon must fall and God must be again exalted! And guess what? Old dagon is going to fall! He’s spending his last days on the shelves, exalted beside the anointed and blessed things of God. He is fixing to tumble!
The Bible says in Isaiah 2: Verses 11 & 17 “The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
Another Jesus, Another Gospel and Another Holy Spirit & Many Other Spirits
And that one God sent us one Jesus, one Gospel and one Holy Spirit… But the Church world today is filled with many non-godly spirits. 2 Corinthians 11:2 says, “For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. (3) But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (4) For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you may well put up with it.”
1John 4:1 says, “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (6)… Hereby know we the Spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.”
The world today is filled with spirits, but in the midst of them all there is but one true Spirit of God, and in order to keep clear in our souls we must reject outright every other spirit that parades itself among the children of God.
Move #2 – Plenty Get Rich Quick Preachers
There are too many “let’s make everybody rich preachers in the land and not enough let’s get the people saved preachers!” Thus we are hearing messages and sermons that are not soundly based on scripture, but based rather carnal- half-biblical revelations.
There is nothing wrong with prosperity in the Church for God wants us prosperous according to 3rd John 2. But we’ve turn prosperity into the god of mammon that we no longer care who else is blessed as long as I am blessed. It seems that there are more folk in the Church that are financially blessed than truly saved!
There are many dagons up on shelved in Churches and they must come down if we are to see the manifested glory of God.
Move #3 – Too Many Renegade Prophets
There are too many common knowledge prophets in the land! Some are prophesying prophesies that are not prophetic that did not come from the mouth of God! We are writing songs that arouses the inordinate lust instead of stirring up the gifts of God in us!
Move #4 – Conferences or Secular Pep Rallies with Religious Overtones
We are holding conferences, seminars and symposiums that are more secular than sacred, having uncircumcised Hollywood stars, just for publicity, who can take of their robe of wickedness and slip into a robe of religion and pretend for two hours to be holy - sending folk back home more messed up than when they came. Jesus said of the Pharisees in Matthew 23:15, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves!”
Move #5 – The Pollution of the Pulpit
(a strange Kingdom promotion masquerading)
Almost all you hear today is KINGDOM NOW! And perhaps that is good. But you can’t be Kingdom now if you haven’t yet been Kingdom first! How many know that FIRST comes before now? (seek ye first…). There are too many who want the Kingdom Now who have not sought the Kingdom first! They want the miracle but not the message! Ain’t that a mess?
I hear many sermons on the Kingdom and yes the preaching of the gospel of the Kingdom is the appropriate message for the last days. Kingdom Now, King this and Kingdom that, but what I am hearing is not a promotion of the Kingdom of God but a promoting of earthly ecclesiastical organizations entwined in an adulterous relationship with the system of wickedness of this world!
False Kingdom Theories
We have preachers telling folk that we’re already in the 7th Millennium and the prophetic 3rd Day. Liar! Liar burn in fire! The Gregorian pagan Roman Calendar maybe, but not according to God’s Sacred Calendar! Folks that are preaching that don’t know how to reckon Time according the Holy Scriptures. They don’t know that when the Dispensation of grace, the Church begun God no longer counts prophetic time in a chromatic order, but there are lulls, recesses and stoppage because under grace He became longsuffering that none shall perish. When they tell you that were in the 7th Millennium and the prophetic 3rd Day they don’t know the difference between chronos, kairos and prophetic times.
When some of y’all hear that preached you be jumping up and down and start calling your ship into port.
The Bible tells me that when God’s 7th millennium begins it will be a time of unprecedented peace and prosperity. The book of Hebrews chapter 4 calls it a Sabbatical Rest.
Since you have been jumping up and down hollering amen, they way are they still turning off your lights and water? What is your spouse still acting up? How come your children still rebellious and Church folks still tripping!
Revelation 20 says that satan will be imprisoned for 1,000 years. Isaiah said warring nations will turn their weapons of war into instruments of prosperity, and the lion will lay down by the lamb and the little boys will play with cobras, the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. It doesn’t quite sound like we are there.
We know longer care about folks becoming truly saved once they hook up with our so-called Kingdom Now Church as long as they keep their names on the roll and pay tribute to Caesar so that you can keep good time rolling.
I am not old fashion and I don’t practice old time religion, but we have replaced the power of the gospel with tickling ear sermons that do not save, heal or deliver, but which appeal only to the lustful mentality of man and cannot saved his soul!
We have invented every promotional idea to fill our sanctuaries with folks who join us
- looking for a blessing but not the Blesser!
- Looking for the pretty platitude and not the Spirit!
- Looking for the ethereal and not the reality of God!
- In other words, they want the miracle but they don’t want the message.
- Dagon must fall!
Set up the ark, and dagon must fall upon his face;
- Set up holiness, righteousness, faithfulness and truth and all the dagons in the house will fall and be irreparably broken.
- The “yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
- But the anointing is impotent in the life of a professed Christian if there is no real holiness! ”
- We have fake the funk too long –
- fooling folk with just good professional
- Church and theatrical preaching.
- We are living in a day where powers of hell is going to make every preacher who attempts to preach prove the presence of the true and living God is with him or her or else his or hers ecclesiastical house will tumble like humpty dumpty on the wall.
All Dagons Must Fall
Because God is the only living and true God, Dagon must fall before his ark; Bel must be broken, and Ashtaroth must be consumed with fire.
- Heresy is a dagon – it must fall!
- Apostasy is a dagon – it must fall!
- Licentiousness is a dagon – it must fall!
- Pop cultural in the Church is a dagon – it must fall!
- Slothfulness is a dagon – it must fall!
- Rebellion against headship authority is a dagon – it must fall!
- Self-righteousness is a dagon – it must fall!
- Vainglorious is a dagon – it must fall!
- A form of godliness is a dagon – it must fall!
- False teaching is a dagon – it must fall!
When God Breaks the Power of the devil he is Thoroughly Broken
The texts said that dagon’s face/head and two palms were broken off
(1) The three broken parts of dagon symbolized self, pride, ambitions!
(a) First, God smashed his face-- the sign of his arrogated beauty
(b) Next God destroyed his head--the seat of his corrupt wisdom
(c) Last of all God broke off his hands--the symbol of dagon’s satanic power.
But now why the hands and head of dagon – why did they break off?
Hands.
Hands speak of power – the ability to do things . They also speak of service and devotion – and what God was doing here was telling them that there is no power that is greater than Himself, and that His works are wondrous. Thus by breaking off dagon’s hands symbolized rendering dagon powerless and useless to perform.
Head speaks of sovereignty, Lordship and control. God was showing by breaking off dagon’s head that is He’s God above all Gods- He is the almighty Alpha and Omega – the beginning and the end, that He is not seated amongst other Gods and prophets – he is God and God alone above all others!

The Season and Spirit of Perez and the Zeal of Josiah
I declared that dagon is falling and shall be broken because we have come to the season of Perez, the breaker and God is about to give some of us a Breaker’s anointing with a Josiah’s zeal and we shall thoroughly break off from our congregation that which is called “unrighteousness” and “abomination”
The watchwords for this hour are, “Overturn, overturn, overturn, broken, broken, broken!”
We need some Perez, the breaker. The Breaker must come so that the images of man's invention must be dashed to shivers.
The Celebration
High and Lifted Up –The Lord Alone Shall Be Exalted!
For it is declared in Isaiah 2, . "And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day."
Isaiah went on to declare in chapter 6, 6:1 “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. (2) Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. (3) And one cried to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!" (4) And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. (5) Then I said: "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts." (6) Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. (7) And he touched my mouth with it, and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged." (8) Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."
In that day, the Lord alone shall be exalted! I am not going to wait until that day. I am going to exalt Him now!
- THE LORD ALONE SHALL BE EXALTED!

- BUT dagon MUST FALL!

1st Samuel chapter 5 verses 2 thru 4... . "And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod. When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the temple of dagon and set it by dagon. And when the people of Ashdod arose early in the morning, there was dagon, fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. So they took dagon and set it in its place again. And when they arose early the next morning, there was dagon, fallen on its face to the ground before the ark of the LORD. The head of dagon and both the palms of its hands were broken off on the threshold; only the torso of dagon was left of it.
How many know that when God comes on the scene some things are going to be broken? I said that when God comes on the scene some things are going to be broken? satan’s power is surley broken! satan's power is broken! And if it is not broken it was because too much flesh showed up! But when flesh is debased and God is exalted satan’s power is broken!
For my subject tell one of your fellow worshippers "if the majority of believes... are to be given access and egress.... to the gateway to the miraculous..., "Dagon Must Fall!"
How many know that dagon must fall!? Every high and exalted things that is not of God that seek to elevate itself above the knowledge of God must fall! Isaiah 2 verses 11 &17 says,..."And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day."
The text said that dagon fell twice as a result of the presence of God. First, they sat the Ark beside dagon and dagon fell! And then they sat dagon back up beside the Ark and it fell again – but this time the stone idol of dagon was irrepairably broken!
This shows that God is an exclusive God. That He acknowledges no other god or anything else that would attempt to exalt itself equals to or above His Deity,
- He is an extremely jealous God:
- He is extremely jealous of His Deity,
- He is extremely jealous of His Sovereignty,
- He is extremely jealous of His glory,
- He is extremely jealous of His honor,
- He is extremely jealous of His knowledge
- And even of His people.
- I came to tell you this day that God is getting ready to clean house and all of the dagons are about to fall!
- God is going to get His Church back! I said that God is going to get His Church back! I don’t mean in particular because He never lost it. I mean in general – those that took His name, His Bible, called themselves Christians, called themselves the Church, but yet perverted His word for their own sake, lived shabby lives, embezzled the people of their livelihood for their own sordid gain – that is the part of the Church God is going to get back!
- And He is going to overthrow everything that is not of Him!
- I don’t know about you but I ready to see the Church of God return to its Pentecostal founding!
- How many know that some high things must come down?
- There can be only one Lofty One and that One is God!
- Psalm 97:9 says, "For You O Lord are high above all the earth. You are exalted above all gods!"
- Therefore, dagon MUST FALL!
Where is the Preaching on Idolatry?
You see the Church today seems to make every other sin a regular sermonic point accept the sin of idolatry. And whether you know it or not and whether you will admit to it or not, there is a prevailing spirit of idolatry among Christendom that is being promoted through strange doctrines, strange ceremonies, strange commemoration, strange festivals and overstressed ministerial titles and positions. But dagon must fall and some high things must come down!
Because of this prevailing spirit of dagon Is why we have in the Church
- … more playboys than prophets!
- … more sissies than servants!
- … more soothsayers than seers!
- … more testiliars than testifiers!
- … prophelying than prophesying!
- … more prayer wimps than prayer warriors!
- … more phonies that the anointed!
- … more theatrics than the real apostolic!
- … more compromise than conviction!
- … more sacrilege than sacrifice!
- … more rebellion than relationships!
- … more slothfulness than faithfulness!
- … more procrastination than motivation!
Because of this spirit of dagon…
The world done got churchy and the Church done got worldly
Tell somebody, "fake folk got to go"
No More Excuses!
It’s time to run to the altar and grab hold to the horns of the altar and cry out, "No more excuses for my sins Lord!"
In other words, we must starting kissing Hagar good bye….
- So that Sarah the real wife of the promise!
- We have been mating with Hagar too many times and it now time for her to go
The major problem with many of us Pentecostal is not that many of us are committing the cardinal sins,
but because many have compromised the principles of what pleases God following after the spirit of the age.
