III. OBJECTIVES:
To show that our declaration is the same as the declaration of the bible, and we are accepted in the Beloved just like Rahab was.
IV. TEXT:
Joshua 2:9-13 (Amplified Bible)
And she said to the men, I know that the Lord has given you the land and that your terror is fallen upon us and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.
For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the [east] side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.
When we heard it, our hearts melted, neither did spirit or courage remain any more in any man because of you, for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.
Now then, I pray you, swear to me by the Lord, since I have shown you kindness, that you also will show kindness to my father’s house, and give me a sure sign,
And save alive my father and mother, my brothers and sisters, and all they have, and deliver us from death.

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for we are made Your Praise and Commendation of Your Glorious Grace which You have freely bestowed on us and we are made accepted in the Beloved.

A. Declarations of Rahab, the harlot:
1. The LORD has given Jericho to Israel

Psalms 112:10 (Amplified Bible)
The wicked man will see it and be grieved and angered, he will gnash his teeth and disappear [in despair]; the desire of the wicked shall perish and come to nothing.
Rahab knows and admits to herself that she's wicked a very essential ingredient in the acceptance of the LORD JESUS as LORD, MASTER and SAVIOR. Because if you can't admit to yourself that you are not a sinner then you don't need a Savior. If you can't admit to yourself that you're wicked and lost, the LORD JESUS has not come to look for you and save you.

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.
Romans 3:23 (Amplified Bible)
Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives.

To accept that you're a sinner is very difficult especially if you are laden with good works and religiousity. You don't see the need to be saved, because according to your own self you're good enough to make it to heaven. How pitiful! You are deceived then.
2 Corinthians 4:4 (Amplified Bible)
For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.
For Rahab, that is laden with sin and iniquities, she had the hardest time of her life admitting defeat from her enemies, the Israelites, the Jews, who are GOD's people.
2. The LORD divided up the red sea
Joshua 2:10 (Amplified Bible)
For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the [east] side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.
The LORD divided up the red sea, shows understanding of Rahab that even the great nation of Egypt, a whole kingdom was defeated by the LORD and delivered to Israel. She's conscious of the LORD GOD doing things and giving victories to Israel, no human effort all with divine effort and GOD's instrumentality.
3. The LORD destroyed Sihon and Og
Joshua 2:10 (Amplified Bible)
For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the [east] side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.
Two powerful kings in those days were Sihon (tempestous) and Og. Tempestous means "blowing with violence". Even if people nowadays are filled with violence in their ways and in their hearts, the LORD GOD, the LORD JESUS CHRIST still came to seek and save the lost. So don't give up, keep on sharing the gospel, preach the WORD.
2 Timothy 4:2 (Amplified Bible)
Herald and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. [Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching.
4. The LORD rules heaven and earth
Joshua 2:11 (Amplified Bible)
When we heard it, our hearts melted, neither did spirit or courage remain any more in any man because of you, for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.
Rahab admitted that the LORD JESUS ruled her heart and she has reverential fear of the LORD.
Psalms 102:15 (Amplified Bible)
So the nations shall fear and worshipfully revere the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth Your glory.
Psalms 96:9 (Amplified Bible)
O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness; tremble before and reverently fear Him, all the earth.
Always mercy triumphs over judgment. You have not yet shared the WORD if you're not able to keep up with the wicked in sharing your lives to them, and sharing the gospel to them.
James 2:13 (Amplified Bible)
For to him who has shown no mercy the judgment [will be] merciless, but mercy [full of glad confidence] exults victoriously over judgment.
5. The LORD's Name (JESUS CHRIST) will be kind to me.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Now then, I pray you, swear to me by the Lord, since I have shown you kindness, that you also will show kindness to my father’s house, and give me a sure sign,
Kindness means good will; benevolence; that temper or disposition which delights in contributing to the happiness of others, which is exercised cheerfully in gratifying their wishes, supplying their wants or alleviating their distresses; benignity of nature. Kindness ever accompanies love.
Others first before yourself, that is kindness, no wonder one of the meaning of "kindness" in it's Hebrew word "asah" meaning "be occupied", meaning you are occupied with your very life for other's betterment and not too greedy to have only attention on yourself. You are selfless.
ILLUSTRATION: The word "selfie" means selfishness, meaning you are giving your full attention and are occupied with yourself. Greediness sets in your heart, not to think of others.
You are spending your life like currency in the life of others, you are investing your life for other's happiness through the salvation of their souls and being forgiven of their sins.
2 Corinthians 12:15 (Amplified Bible)
But I will most gladly spend [myself] and be utterly spent for your souls. If I love you exceedingly, am I to be loved [by you] the less?
6. The LORD's Name is kind to my family
Joshua 2:12 (Amplified Bible)
Now then, I pray you, swear to me by the Lord, since I have shown you kindness, that you also will show kindness to my father’s house, and give me a sure sign,
The LORD JESUS CHRIST Himself is the One who is Kind in us and through us, He uses us as instruments to show His kindness to sinners and every strangers that we meet.
Esther is kind to her people, her attention is not on herself but on the blessing of her own kindred, her own people.
Esther 8:6 (Amplified Bible)
For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come upon my people? Or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?
7. The LORD will deliver us from death
Joshua 2:13 (Amplified Bible)
And save alive my father and mother, my brothers and sisters, and all they have, and deliver us from death.
Always GOD is protecting us so that we will not enter into temptation and into accidents and dangers in this life.
Matthew 6:13 (Amplified Bible)
And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
He is always answering our prayers even before the foundation of the world, and always interceding for us, even before we remember and realized that we need to pray for deliverance from temptation. Temptation is not sin, entertaining and accommodating it is already sin. Death is defined in the bible as separation from GOD. It's a perpetual separation from GOD and eternal torments, as often called as second death.
Revelation 2:11 (Amplified Bible)
He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). He who overcomes (is victorious) shall in no way be injured by the second death.
IX. CONCLUSION:
Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for we are made Your Praise and Commendation of Your Glorious Grace which You have freely bestowed on us and we are made accepted in the Beloved.
