Do you resist the enemy?

III. OBJECTIVES:
To show that GOD taught us to defeat the foe because it's already a defeated foe, just enforce GOD's victory over the enemy.
IV. TEXT:
Luke 11:22 (Amplified Bible)
But when one stronger than he attacks him and conquers him, he robs him of his whole armor on which he had relied and divides up and distributes all his goods as plunder (spoil).
V. THESIS:
Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS I submit and put myself in subjection to GOD and it will be easier for me to resist the enemy and the enemy will flee from me. I enforce GOD's victory through the LORD JESUS CHRIST over the enemy.
James 4:7 (Amplified Bible)
So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.

LORD JESUS already attacked and conquered the enemy
VII. EXPLICATION:
A. Author: Dr. Luke, The Beloved Physician (close friend and traveling companion of Paul)
B. Audience: Theophilus (Greek means friend of GOD, a Christian)
C. Purpose: To give a connected and orderly narrative of the life of CHRIST as seen by eyewitnesses
VIII. MAIN BODY:
Luke 11:22 (Amplified Bible)
But when one stronger than he attacks him and conquers him, he robs him of his whole armor on which he had relied and divides up and distributes all his goods as plunder (spoil).

But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
A. The LORD JESUS took all the enemy's armor by attacking and conquering the enemy
"But when one stronger than he attacks him and conquers him, he robs him of his whole armor on which he had relied"

You have ascended on high. You have led away captive a train of vanquished foes; You have received gifts of men, yes, of the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell there with them.
The enemy is a defeated foe, he is captive of GOD, that's why we can command him inside the prison of GOD. He has to obey us because he's a captive of our LORD and SAVIOR the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
But why is he able to destroy lives still of believers, the reason is because we have permitted and allowed him to do it.
ILLUSTRATION: Upon seeing a weakly, roaring cat on the cage, a boy released the cat in a the cage and little did he know it will cost him his life, because the cat attacked him.
Ephesians 4:27 (Amplified Bible)
Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him].
We have given him foot holds in our lives. For example, the LORD JESUS CHRIST has already delivered us from sin of alcohol drinking, now we still hold an empty bottle of beer or much worse we have paintings of drinking sessions and latest wine collections in our wall just hanging there, what does it mean? When GOD destroys sins in your lives, don't cling to it, destroy it and remove all things that will remind you of it.

[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].
EXAMPLE: A man just got converted when he got delivered from gambling, guess what, he still keeps the same sets of friends, still enters a casino without gambling, and see what will happen to him in the next month. You guessed it right, he will return to his gambling.
B. The LORD JESUS divided all the enemy's goods as plunder
"and divides up and distributes all his goods as plunder (spoil)"
All these goods and plunders, the church enjoys it as Gifts and Callings from GOD.
Ephesians 4:11 (King James Version)
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Gave, distributes, divideth, or "diadidomi" in Greek meaning to give throughout a crowd, deal out, deliver over, distribute, divide, give. Same word used in Ephesians 4:11 when GOD is distributing His Calls and Gifts upon the church. GOD changed it's forms to something that can be used by His Body - the Church. That's why the enemy tries to attack us in anger but he can't because he can't fight his own goods, and possessions, the Gifts and Callings GOD divided unto us.
ILLUSTRATION: What's the best way to defeat an enemy? Conquer his own dominion, goods and possessions and use it against him.

Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.

And he gripped and overpowered the dragon, that old serpent [of primeval times], who is the devil and Satan, and [securely] bound him for a thousand years.
Then he hurled him into the Abyss (the bottomless pit) and closed it and sealed it above him, so that he should no longer lead astray and deceive and seduce the nations until the thousand years were at an end. After that he must be liberated for a short time.

That's why GOD does not want us to commit rebellion or sin against Him, because we are siding with the devil when we do this. Because we are all dead to sin.

IX. CONCLUSION:
Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS I submit and put myself in subjection to GOD and it will be easier for me to resist the enemy and the enemy will flee from me. I enforce GOD's victory through the LORD JESUS CHRIST over the enemy.
