10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
1. The Responsibility to the Saviour. "For unto you is born"
"Unto you" creates responsibility.
2. The Reproach for the Saviour. "Born this day"
3. The Region of the Saviour. "In the city of David"
This was another name for Bethlehem.
4. The Relevance of the Saviour. "A Saviour"
because all mankind needs a Savior more than anything else.
5. The Reign of the Saviour. "Christ" - His Messianic Office
6. The Rank of the Saviour. "Lord"
He is of higher rank than any human. He is called "Lord of Lords"
E. The Significance Of The Message, "A Saviour" If our greatest need had been pleasure, God would have sent us an entertainer;
If our greatest need had been information, God would have sent us an educator;
If our greatest need had been technology, God would have sent us an engineer;
If our greatest need had been money, God would have sent us an economist;
