Hosea 6:1-3 The Kind of Revival We Need I. REVIVAL COLLECTIVELY DESIRED "Come, and let us return unto the Lord" The prophet envisions the people of God as one. II. REVIVAL CLEARLY DEMONSTRATED Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. III. REVIVAL CAREFULLY DEFINED - What, then, is the nature of revival? • The doctor in the promise. "He will heal us" • The delay in the promise. 2 "After two days will he revive us". • The dynamic in the promise. 2 "In the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight". He puts us on resurrection ground giving true life • The delight in the promise. 3 he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth. IV. REVIVAL CONCISELY DESCRIBED "Come, and let us return unto the Lord:... 2 and we shall live in his sight"
V. REVIVAL CONFIDENTLY DECLARED "Let us return unto the Lord." - God waits until His people admit their sin and submit to His authority. VI.
