Jeremiah 18:1-6 The Master Potter
As we go with Jeremiah down to the potter’s house…
I. The Potter’s Project 3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
A. The Material In This Project 4 And the vessel that he made of clay
The Need for the Clay, The Nature of the Clay, The Neutraliy of the Clay Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
B. The Molding In This Project 3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
1. The Testing for the wheels
Psalms 40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
2. The Turning on the wheels
Job 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
Ps 17:3 Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
3. The Transforming of the wheels - 3 behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. 4 And the vessel that he made of clay
The clay is not doing it. The potter is doing it.

B. The Vessel’s Formation
1. It is A Good Work 4 as seemed good to the potter to make it.
Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way! Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.
