The Spirit of Revival Isa. 44:1-8
I. THE SOURCE OF REVIVAL. 3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty Look at the "I" in these verses: Only God can give it. 2. THE SPIRIT OF REVIVAL pour water Through His Holy Spirit. Isaiah 35:7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, [shall be] grass with reeds and rushes. Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. Acts 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: 3. THE STANDARD OF REVIVAL. upon him that is thirsty We need to be dissatisfied..not with what He has given us, but with what we have done for Him. Psalms 42:1-2 " As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? Psalms 63:1-5 " O God, thou [art] my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so [as] I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness [is] better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as [with] marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise [thee] with joyful lips:" 4. THE STRENGTH OF REVIVAL. and floods upon the dry ground Think about this..floods change the course of nature. 5. THE SEED OF REVIVAL. I will pour my spirit upon thy seed Who is the beneficiary of REVIVAL? Our children..our families..our nation. 4 And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.
