Summary: Christ gave Himself for us, in order that He might give Himself to us, in order that He might live His life through us. None of us can live life, much less live the Christian life. The Christian life is the Christ life. It is His life, and only He can live it. When Christ is free to be Himself in you, then you are free to be yourself in Him.
Prayer: “Lord Jesus, I recognize that the Christian life is the Christ life. I confess that I have been trying to live your life by imitation, and I can’t do it. So, I give up. I give myself to you. I ask you to take me and make me the person you want me to be. I trust you to live your life through me. I thank you that your life is now my life, because of my union with Christ. Therefore, I now live by the power of your might. Thank you Lord for living your life through me!”
