Where do you receive instruction from?

GOD. His WORDS, the HOLY SPIRIT as prompted by the Fear of the LORD.

He is puffed up with pride and stupefied with conceit, [although he is] woefully ignorant. He has a morbid fondness for controversy and disputes and strife about words, which result in (produce) envy and jealousy, quarrels and dissension, abuse and insults and slander, and base suspicions,

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for I received godly Wisdom and instructions from You prompted by the reverent and worshipful fear of the LORD.

And she, being put forward and prompted by her mother, said, Give me the head of John the Baptist right here on a platter.

A. Prompted by her unbelieving/unrighteous mother

"And she, being put forward and prompted by her mother,"

Imagine a little girl that is a murderer, taught by unrighteous/unbelieving mother. Her mother only wants the riches of King Herod so is willing to commit adultery with the king. Her mother lost her soul for the riches of this world.

Mark 8:36 (Amplified Bible)

For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life [in the eternal kingdom of God]?

Matthew 16:26 (Amplified Bible)

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life [his blessed life in the kingdom of God]? Or what would a man give as an exchange for his [blessed] life [in the kingdom of God]?

These are the kind of woman willing to kill just to get rich. I remember some women who are like this in the bible.

Some evil women willing to exchange her soul for the love of this world:

1. Eve - didn't know she's already perfect because she's created in the image of GOD.

Genesis 3:6 (Amplified Bible)

And when the woman saw that the tree was good (suitable, pleasant) for food and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she gave some also to her husband, and he ate.

Genesis 1:27 (Amplified Bible)

So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.

2. Delilah - willing to kill Samson for 1,000 pieces of silver

Judges 16:5-6 (Amplified Bible)

And the lords of the Philistines came to her and said to her, Entice him and see in what his great strength lies, and by what means we may overpower him that we may bind him to subdue him. And we will each give you 1,100 pieces of silver.

And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray you, wherein your great strength lies, and with what you might be bound to subdue you.

3. wife of Job - for she knows that when Job died, he will get rid of him, without blood staining her hands.

4. wife of Potiphar - never considered adultery as a huge deal, as long as she gets the lust of her body consumed with Joseph

Genesis 39:6-7 (Amplified Bible)

And [Potiphar] left all that he had in Joseph’s charge and paid no attention to anything he had except the food he ate. Now Joseph was an attractive person and fine-looking.

Then after a time his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph, and she said, Lie with me.

5. wife of Lot - not satisfied with Lot's manhood that she's willing to lust after homosexuals.

Genesis 19:26 (Amplified Bible)

But [Lot’s] wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

6. wife of Uriah - Batsheba - didn't care if she marries the man who killed her husband as long as she gets the riches of King David

2 Samuel 11:26-27 (Amplified Bible)

When Uriah’s wife heard that her husband was dead, she mourned for Uriah.

And when the mourning was past, David sent and brought her to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done was evil in the sight of the Lord.

7. Athaliah - wicked counselor mother of Ahaziah

2 Chronicles 22:2-3 (Amplified Bible)

Forty-two years old was Ahaziah when he began his one-year reign in Jerusalem. His mother was Athaliah, a granddaughter of Omri.

He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab, for his mother was his counselor to do wickedly.

8. wife of Zebedee - mother of James and John - didn't care if she loses face with JESUS as long as her two sons benefit from it.

Matthew 20:21 (Amplified Bible)

And He asked her, What do you wish? She answered Him, Give orders that these two sons of mine may sit, one at Your right hand and one at Your left in Your kingdom.

9. Queen Jezebel - willing to kill all the LORD's prophets as long as she sits on the throne. She also calls herself a prophetess to replace the LORD's prophets whom he killed

1 Kings 18:4 (Amplified Bible)

For when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave and fed them with bread and water.)

Revelation 2:20 (Amplified Bible)

But I have this against you: that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess [claiming to be inspired], and who is teaching and leading astray my servants and beguiling them into practicing sexual vice and eating food sacrificed to idols.

Beware of instructions given to you, you need to know when it's coming from. It needs to be instructions from the HOLY SPIRIT and the WORD OF GOD.

He who keeps the commandment [of the Lord] keeps his own life, but he who despises His ways shall die.

B. Kill GOD's prophet and put his head on a platter

Charger, plate or platter in the bible are meant to get the offerings of the people to bring to GOD. The woman is thinking of offering John, the Baptist's head as victory over it and made it to bring to King Herod, for in her heart she considered King Herod as god.

Numbers 7:13 (Amplified Bible)

And his offering was one silver platter, the weight of which was 130 shekels, one silver basin of seventy shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil for a cereal offering;

Our teacher is the HOLY SPIRIT leading us to the WORD of GOD.
