I. EXORDIUM:
Have you encountered a bully?
Yes.2 Timothy 3:12
2 Timothy 3:12 (Amplified Bible)
Indeed all who delight in piety and are determined to live a devoted and godly life in Christ Jesus will meet with persecution [will be made to suffer because of their religious stand].
It's part of our life as a believer, whenever we share the gospel we are being persecuted, but it's a blessing for us.
1 Peter 3:9 (Amplified Bible)
Never return evil for evil or insult for insult (scolding, tongue-lashing, berating), but on the contrary blessing [praying for their welfare, happiness, and protection, and truly pitying and loving them]. For know that to this you have been called, that you may yourselves inherit a blessing [from God—that you may obtain a blessing as heirs, bringing welfare and happiness and protection].

2. Enemy of GOD's people
C. BULLIES IN THE BIBLE:
1. lucifer, satan or the snake - bullies the first creation of man and woman of GOD
Genesis 3:1 (Amplified Bible)
NOW THE serpent was more subtle and crafty than any living creature of the field which the Lord God had made. And he [Satan] said to the woman, Can it really be that God has said, You shall not eat from every tree of the garden?
lucifer asked a question that has already been answered by GOD. he attacked the seemingly weakest creation, Eve.
1 Peter 3:7 (Amplified Bible)
In the same way you married men should live considerately with [your wives], with an intelligent recognition [of the marriage relation], honoring the woman as [physically] the weaker, but [realizing that you] are joint heirs of the grace (God’s unmerited favor) of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered and cut off. [Otherwise you cannot pray effectively.]
2. Pharaoh of Egypt - bullies the people of GOD, Moses and Aaron
Exodus 5:2 (Amplified Bible)
But Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go.
Pharaoh made sure he will win over the Israelites for he made them slaves to weaken them.
Exodus 5:6-8 (Amplified Bible)
The very same day Pharaoh commanded the taskmasters of the people and their officers,
You shall no more give the people straw to make brick; let them go and gather straw for themselves.
But the number of the bricks which they made before you shall still require of them; you shall not diminish it in the least. For they are idle; that is why they cry, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.
3. Haman - bullies the Jews, GOD's people
Esther 3:5 (Amplified Bible)
And when Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow down or do him reverence, he was very angry.
Haman attacked seemingly weak people, the Jews, and plans to annihilate them all.
Esther 3:8-10 (Amplified Bible)
Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom; their laws are different from every other people, neither do they keep the king’s laws. Therefore it is not for the king’s profit to tolerate them.
If it pleases the king, let it be decreed that they be destroyed, and I will pay 10,000 talents of silver into the hands of those who have charge of the king’s business, that it may be brought into the king’s treasuries.
And the king took his signet ring from his hand [with which to seal his letters by the king’s authority] and gave it to Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews’ enemy.
4. Pontius Pilate - bullies the LORD JESUS CHRIST
Matthew 27:13 (Amplified Bible)
Then Pilate said to Him, Do You not hear how many and how serious are the things they are testifying against You?
John 19:10 (Amplified Bible)
So Pilate said to Him, Will You not speak [even] to me? Do You not know that I have power (authority) to release You and I have power to crucify You?
Pilate asked questions that are already been answered and pretends he did not heard of the LORD.
5. King Sennacherib - bullies the Israelites and King Hezekiah
2 Kings 19:9 (Amplified Bible)
And Sennacherib king of Assyria heard concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, He has come to make war against you. And when he heard it, he sent messengers again to Hezekiah, saying,
2 Kings 19:10-13 (Amplified Bible)
Say this to Hezekiah king of Judah: Let not your God on Whom you rely deceive you by saying, Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.
Behold, you have heard what the Assyrian kings have done to all lands, destroying them utterly. And shall you be delivered?
Have the gods of the nations delivered those whom my ancestors have destroyed, as Gozan, Haran [of Mesopotamia], Rezeph, and the people of Eden who were in Telassar?
Where are the kings of Hamath, of Arpad [of northern Syria], of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah?
King Sennacherib's problem is he forgot that he already included bullying the LORD GOD that is worshipped by King Hezekiah.
6. King Nebuchadnezzar - bullies 3 friends of Daniel
Daniel 3:1-2 (Amplified Bible)
NEBUCHADNEZZAR THE king [caused to be] made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits or ninety feet and its breadth six cubits or nine feet. He set it up on the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon.
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the satraps, the deputies, the governors, the judges and chief stargazers, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs and lawyers, and all the chief officials of the provinces to come to the dedication of the image which King Nebuchadnezzar had [caused to be] set up.
King Nebuchadnezzar bullied seemingly weak people but he forgot they are worshippers of GOD.
7. King Herod - bullies the LORD JESUS CHRIST
Matthew 2:8 (Amplified Bible)
Then he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, Go and search for the Child carefully and diligently, and when you have found Him, bring me word, that I too may come and worship Him.
Bullies like bullying weak or seemingly weaker people than them, and imagine king herod bullying a baby?!
Matthew 2:16 (Amplified Bible)
Then Herod, when he realized that he had been misled by the wise men, was furiously enraged, and he sent and put to death all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that territory who were two years old and under, reckoning according to the date which he had investigated diligently and had learned exactly from the wise men.
8. King Saul - bullies King David
1 Samuel 18:25 (Amplified Bible)
Saul said, Say this to David, The king wants no dowry but a hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to avenge himself of the king’s enemies. But Saul thought to make David fall by the Philistines’ hands.
Opposite to King Saul is King David who is very humble and admits that he's only a dead dog, a flee compared to kingship of King Saul.
1 Samuel 24:14 (Amplified Bible)
After whom has the king of Israel come out? After whom do you pursue? After a dead dog? After a flea?
9. Saul - only bully that was converted.
Acts 26:11 (Amplified Bible)
And frequently I punished them in all the synagogues to make them blaspheme; and in my bitter fury against them, I harassed (troubled, molested, persecuted) and pursued them even to foreign cities.
Acts 26:14 (Amplified Bible)
And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice in the Hebrew tongue saying to me, Saul, Saul, why do you continue to persecute Me [to harass and trouble and molest Me]? It is dangerous and turns out badly for you to keep kicking against the goads [to keep offering vain and perilous resistance].
Acts 26:16 (Amplified Bible)
But arise and stand upon your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, that I might appoint you to serve as [My] minister and to bear witness both to what you have seen of Me and to that in which I will appear to you,
Who are the people that Saul bullied:
a. bullied Stephen
Acts 8:1 (Amplified Bible)
AND SAUL was [not only] consenting to [Stephen’s] death [he was pleased and entirely approving]. On that day a great and severe persecution broke out against the church which was in Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles (special messengers).
b. bullied the believers: men and women
Acts 9:1 (Amplified Bible)
MEANWHILE SAUL, still drawing his breath hard from threatening and murderous desire against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest
c. bullied the LORD JESUS
Acts 26:14 (Amplified Bible)
And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice in the Hebrew tongue saying to me, Saul, Saul, why do you continue to persecute Me [to harass and trouble and molest Me]? It is dangerous and turns out badly for you to keep kicking against the goads [to keep offering vain and perilous resistance].
d. later bullied Peter in a good way
Galatians 2:14 (Amplified Bible)
But as soon as I saw that they were not straightforward and were not living up to the truth of the Gospel, I said to Cephas (Peter) before everybody present, If you, though born a Jew, can live [as you have been living] like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how do you dare now to urge and practically force the Gentiles to [comply with the ritual of Judaism and] live like Jews?
10. Queen Jezebel - bullied Elijah
1 Kings 19:2 (Amplified Bible)
Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not your life as the life of one of them by this time tomorrow.
Queen Jezebel thought that Elijah is just like one of his false prophets, so he can easily kill Elijah, but she forgot that Elijah is a prophet of the LORD so he's adequately and divinely protected.
11. Laban - bullied Jacob or Israel
Galatians 4:29 (Amplified Bible)
Yet [just] as at that time the child [of ordinary birth] born according to the flesh despised and persecuted him [who was born remarkably] according to [the promise and the working of] the [Holy] Spirit, so it is now also.
Read the conversation of Jacob with a bully. Don't try this at home, very risky. Only Jacob or Israel can do this and ran for his life.
Genesis 31:38-41 (Amplified Bible)
These twenty years I have been with you; your ewes and your she-goats have not lost their young, and the rams of your flock have not been eaten by me.
I did not bring you [the carcasses of the animals] torn by wild beasts; I bore the loss of it; you required of me [to make good] all that was stolen, whether it occurred by day or by night.
This was [my lot]; by day the heat consumed me and by night the cold, and I could not sleep.
I have been twenty years in your house. I served you fourteen years for your two daughters and six years for your flocks; and you have changed my wages ten times.
D. HOW TO FACE A BULLY?
1. Be humble
Proverbs 16:19 (Amplified Bible)
Better it is to be of a humble spirit with the meek and poor than to divide the spoil with the proud.
Realize who you are in GOD's sight and realize who you are in the face of a bully. This is what King David did to King Saul.
2 Corinthians 12:10 (Amplified Bible)
So for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure in infirmities, insults, hardships, persecutions, perplexities and distresses; for when I am weak [in human strength], then am I [truly] strong (able, powerful in divine strength).
1 Samuel 24:14 (Amplified Bible)
After whom has the king of Israel come out? After whom do you pursue? After a dead dog? After a flea?
2. Ran away from the bully, avoid the bully at all cost.
1 Kings 19:3-8 (Amplified Bible)
Then he was afraid and arose and went for his life and came to Beersheba of Judah [over eighty miles, and out of Jezebel’s realm] and left his servant there.
But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a lone broom or juniper tree and asked that he might die. He said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am no better than my fathers.
As he lay asleep under the broom or juniper tree, behold, an angel touched him and said to him, Arise and eat.
He looked, and behold, there was a cake baked on the coals, and a bottle of water at his head. And he ate and drank and lay down again.
The angel of the Lord came the second time and touched him and said, Arise and eat, for the journey is too great for you.
So he arose and ate and drank, and went in the strength of that food forty days and nights to Horeb, the mount of God.
This is what Elijah did to Queen Jezebel, yes Elijah can easily kill Queen Jezebel like the 400 false prophets of Baal, but he chose to ran away.
Proverbs 14:16 (Amplified Bible)
A wise man suspects danger and cautiously avoids evil, but the fool bears himself insolently and is [presumptuously] confident.
3. Pray and fast for yourself and loved ones.
Realize GOD's strength in you made you strong.
2 Corinthians 12:9 (Amplified Bible)
But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!
4. Treat them with a blessing, pity and love them so you can pray for them.
IX. CONCLUSION:
Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for making me like You in this world.
If you are being bullied right now, remember the words of Simon Peter.
Acts 28:26-27 (Amplified Bible)
Go to this people and say to them, You will indeed hear and hear with your ears but will not understand, and you will indeed look and look with your eyes but will not see [not perceive, have knowledge of or become acquainted with what you look at, at all].
For the heart (the understanding, the soul) of this people has grown dull (stupid, hardened, and calloused), and their ears are heavy and hard of hearing and they have shut tight their eyes, so that they may not perceive and have knowledge and become acquainted with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their souls and turn [to Me and be converted], that I may heal them.
