Double miracle!
Luke 1:36”And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren.”
The news of the birth of Jesus, who will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High was as such astonishing and bewildering for young unwed Mary! Further, this was doubled with the news that her cousin Elizabeth has also conceived a son and it was her sixth month who was considered barren. Boy! Such an awesome downpour of blessings, like splashing rain settles the dust! The dust of pain, worries, failure, humiliation and uncertainty! Let this message lift your spirit and cheer you today!
Friend, I read this message during a time when I was not feeling too chirpy; however, I was rejuvenated after reading this portion of the Bible. God watched the prayer, integrity and piety of the elderly couple Zacharias and Elizabeth and kept the record close to His heart. How comforting it is to know that God keeps a record of all our good works and that we would be certainly rewarded for it! One day, while Zacharias was faithfully serving the Lord as a priest in the temple, he had a heavenly visitation of an angel who carried the good news of the birth of his son John. Mary and Elizabeth received good news during the same time!
Whoa! Jesus and John were no ordinary people but sent on divine assignments and the two women were chosen for a great purpose! Awesome! Friend, keep doing your work faithfully, God would one day open the doors of heaven really wide and flabbergast you with His abundance! Stay faithful! Trust Him! Obey and walk in His ways! Leave the world and get into His Word!
We had been praying for the settlement of our Van that we were using for ministry purpose, because we could not get it registered in the new city. I had purchased it from a friend of mine and there were too many complications involved, hence I felt if my friend could take it back and settle the money it would be fine but it was getting delayed for a long , long time. Besides this festering issue, we were praying for a young man who had backslidden after wonderfully walking with the Lord and who had also been with us and helped us in our ministry; this caused us tremendous pain. He just vanished from our life! Would you believe if I tell you, after continuously persevering in our prayers, I got a call from both of them. Glory to Jesus! On one single day, I travelled to the city and I received hot cash for the van and also on the same day, I repeat the same day, I visited this young man’s home, encouraged him to come back to God and church and also had lunch at his place. We now have our own van with proper registration papers and also this young man moved with this family to another place and settled closer to a pastor who took charge over his life. Double miracles would happen in your life too!
I received a text message from a dear lady who has been wrestling in prayer for the salvation of her husband, she said, “I’m glad to inform that my husband attended church with us this Sunday and further he has also been continuously sitting with us for family prayers after that.” Double miracle!
