B. LAST WEEK I ENDED THE MESSAGE TALKING ABOUT:

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
C. WHAT’S JESUS TALKING ABOUT?
1. His FATHER (GOD) has PLANNED a NOW MOMENT IN THE FUTURE
JESUS EXPLAINS WHAT IT’S GOING TO LOOK LIKE

It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in
charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep
watch. "Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back--whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!'"
D. Jesus keeps USING THAT WORD, “WATCH”!
1. WHY? There is a NOW MOMENT coming YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS.

"Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the Owner Of The House Will Come Back…
FIRST THING you need to Figure out:
WHO’S THE OWNER OF THE HOUSE?
A. WHO OWNS YOUR HOUSE? OR “WHO RULERS YOUR HOUSE?
1. WE HAVE A CONSTANT WAR GOING ON WITHIN US
Galatians 5:17 (NIV)
For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other…
B. SINFUL NATURE has CRAVINGS
1. STRONG CRAVINGS - sexual, obsessions, hatred, friction, jealousy, fits of rage, selfishness, envy, drunkenness.
2. SPIRIT FIGHTING for us to have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
B. Jesus is saying, “If you’re the OWNER, you’re going to MISS OUT.”
1. NOT Living in the NOW, you’re going to miss GOD’S NOW MOMENT
C. If you’re a CHRIST FOLLOWER, your not only keeping WATCH.
1. BUT YOU’RE WORKING at your ASSIGNED TASK

DON’T FALL ASLEEP

A. Note: This passage is being written to CHRIST-FOLLOWERS.
1. Many Believers are passing through life just like UNBELIEVERS: ASLEEP
2. They’re participating in DARKNESS that finally the FALL ASLEEP.
3. They become unaware of the NOW – God’s promises – Jesus CHRIST
CONCLUSION:
B. Some have falling ASLEEP because of DOUBT.
YOU SAY:
“GOD THIS IS YOUR HOUSE, BUT ARE YOU REALLY COMING BACK?
C. We claim Christ, but we go through trials, tragedies, and LIFE difficulties
1. DOUBT overcomes our lives, FEAR, UNBELIEF, DISTRACTIONS
2. We QUICKLY LOSE OUR NOW with GOD
C. SATAN brings DOUBT, he knows the LAST CHAPTER of the BOOK
1. Because HE’S DOOMED and he WANTS YOU to be DOOMED
2. His GOAL – GET the VICTORY of GOD’s NOW OUT OF YOU
D. Jesus was VICTORIOUS through the CROSS AND His Resurrection
1 Corinthians 15:54-57 (NIV)
"Death has been swallowed up in VICTORY." "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1. All these things want to pull us away from the VICTORY OF GOD’S NOW.
