I. EXORDIUM:
Do you dwell in JESUS?
Yes, specially when I'm alone, I pray in tongues.
II. AUDIENCE PROFILE:
Believers
III. OBJECTIVES:
To show that only dwelling in JESUS can make your fruit last and you will bear much fruit.
IV. TEXT:
John 15:4-5 (Amplified Bible)
15:4 Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.
15:5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.
John 15:4-5 (King James Version)
15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
V. THESIS:
Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You dwell in me, and I dwell in You by praying in tongues more often and my fruit are taken care of by the Vine in me not my own strength.

VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. Dwell in JESUS as branches to bear much fruit
"15:4 Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me."
Abide or "meno" in Greek which means:
1. to stay (in a given place, state, relation or expectancy)
2. abide, continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand, tarry (to lodge)
How to abide?
1. praying in tongues, practicing your faith (focus on JESUS)
Ephesians 6:18 (Amplified Bible)
6:18 Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).
Jude 1:20 (Amplified Bible)
1:20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;
This is the practice of Apostle Paul. The moments he steps out of the pulpit, he prays in tongues.
1 Corinthians 14:18 (Amplified Bible)
14:18 I thank God that I speak in [strange] tongues (languages) more than any of you or all of you put together;
2. practice your faith in the LORD - pray, tithes/offering, worship services attendances
Hebrews 12:2 (Amplified Bible)
12:2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
Colossians 1:23 (Amplified Bible)
1:23 [And this He will do] provided that you continue to stay with and in the faith [in Christ], well-grounded and settled and steadfast, not shifting or moving away from the hope [which rests on and is inspired by] the glad tidings (the Gospel), which you heard and which has been preached [as being designed for and offered without restrictions] to every person under heaven, and of which [Gospel] I, Paul, became a minister.
3. continue in the WORD of GOD
Acts 6:4 (Amplified Bible)
6:4 But we will continue to devote ourselves steadfastly to prayer and the ministry of the Word.
John 8:31 (Amplified Bible)
8:31 So Jesus said to those Jews who had believed in Him, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples.
4. Remember, think on JESUS all the time, focus on Him
Deuteronomy 8:18 (Amplified Bible)
8:18 But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.
Romans 13:14 (Amplified Bible)
13:14 But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts).
Ephesians 2:6 (Amplified Bible)
2:6 And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
Fruit is very broad in the bible. Here are some things in the bible symbolized by fruits.
Fruit symbolizes:
1. works or labors in the LORD/ministry in the LORD
Matthew 7:20 (Amplified Bible)
7:20 Therefore, you will fully know them by their fruits.
Romans 1:13 (Amplified Bible)
1:13 I want you to know, brethren, that many times I have planned and intended to come to you, though thus far I have been hindered and prevented, in order that I might have some fruit (some result of my labors) among you, as I have among the rest of the Gentiles.
Philippians 1:11 (Amplified Bible)
1:11 May you abound in and be filled with the fruits of righteousness (of right standing with God and right doing) which come through Jesus Christ (the Anointed One), to the honor and praise of God [that His glory may be both manifested and recognized].
Philippians 1:22 (Amplified Bible)
1:22 If, however, it is to be life in the flesh and I am to live on here, that means fruitful service for me; so I can say nothing as to my personal preference [I cannot choose],
2. children, offspring or descendants
Acts 2:30 (Amplified Bible)
2:30 Being however a prophet, and knowing that God had sealed to him with an oath that He would set one of his descendants on his throne,
3. benefit
Romans 6:21 (Amplified Bible)
6:21 But then what benefit (return) did you get from the things of which you are now ashamed? [None] for the end of those things is death.
4. present reward
Romans 6:22 (Amplified Bible)
6:22 But now since you have been set free from sin and have become the slaves of God, you have your present reward in holiness and its end is eternal life.
5. financial gain, seed or offering in money
Romans 15:28 (Amplified Bible)
15:28 When therefore I have completed this mission and have delivered to them [at Jerusalem] what has been raised, I shall go on by way of you to Spain.
Philippians 4:17 (Amplified Bible)
4:17 Not that I seek or am eager for [your] gift, but I do seek and am eager for the fruit which increases to your credit [the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to your account].
6. results, effects or produce/product
1 Corinthians 9:7 (Amplified Bible)
9:7 [Consider this:] What soldier at any time serves at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat any of the fruit of it? Who tends a flock and does not partake of the milk of the flock?
Galatians 5:22 (Amplified Bible)
5:22 But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,
Ephesians 5:9 (Amplified Bible)
5:9 For the fruit (the effect, the product) of the Light or the Spirit [consists] in every form of kindly goodness, uprightness of heart, and trueness of life.
2 Timothy 2:6 (Amplified Bible)
2:6 [It is] the hard-working farmer [who labors to produce] who must be the first partaker of the fruits.
7. acknowledgement of GOD, praises, glories and thanksgiving to His Name
Hebrews 13:15 (Amplified Bible)
13:15 Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.
B. Apart from the Vine, we can do nothing
"15:5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing."
Philippians 1:11 (Amplified Bible)
1:11 May you abound in and be filled with the fruits of righteousness (of right standing with God and right doing) which come through Jesus Christ (the Anointed One), to the honor and praise of God [that His glory may be both manifested and recognized].
Colossians 1:27 (Amplified Bible)
1:27 To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within and among you, the Hope of [realizing the] glory.
Being conscious of JESUS' Presence in your life, acknowledging Him, thanking Him, doing all things for His Glory, etc.
IX. CONCLUSION:
Zechariah 4:6 (Amplified Bible)
4:6 Then he said to me, This [addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it to yield a ceaseless supply of oil from the olive trees] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of Whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts.
Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You dwell in me, and I dwell in You by praying in tongues more often and my fruit are taken care of by the Vine in me not my own strength.
