Committed - Anointed - Acts 6:1-7 - Right Spirit
•It is easy for us to have heros and heroines, Sports fans and celebrities, they get paid in millions, you pay hundreds to go see them, or buy movies to watch them.
◦They will be sinners in real life, it does not bother you.
•On the other hand is a pastor who works twice as hard, with "peanuts" for salary, and he does something, you find it hard to swallow.
•One should have skills, but skills don't qualify a person to minister, it is Committment - Character.
•The characteristics of a fish is that:
◦It stink before and after too.
◦Salt does not stick to it before,
◦But once u dry it or once it is cooked, salt sets into it.
•The truth is, "there are some people who are better by nature, than are by grace"
For this purpose:
...You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem (your home base), and in all Judea (those within driving distance) and Samaria (places where you won't necessarily be welcomed) and to the end of the earth.' (Acts 1:8 NKJV)
Skill is good, a powerful vehicle is good too. But you need to fuel. You cannot and will not be still running on the first tank of fuel you pumped.
That doesn't work when it comes to leadership in God's Kingdom! You fill it as and when necessary. You're either being led by the Holy Spirit - or your spirit. 'But I have talent,' you say. Yes, and God will use it. But when it comes to building what He wants built, it's, 'Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord.' (Zechariah 4:6 NKJV)
