“Coffee House Christians”

OPENING:- My wife likes the smell of coffee but she doesn’t like the taste of it. I like coffee I like it black no sugar and no cream. As a matter of fact I like coffee so much that I once developed a lump and had to have a mammogram and it was determined that I drank too much coffee. I like coffee. There is a coffee house that my wife and I sometimes go to because they sale different kinds of tea and my wife likes tea. It is a real nice place to visit the atmosphere is relaxing and they sale a variety of products that smell and taste delicious. One of my favorite things to get from this place is what is called a Milky-Way Coffee. It has Caramel, Chocolate, Cinnamon, Cream, and Whipped Cream in it. It is called a Milky-Way Coffee but it doesn’t taste anything like coffee because so many other ingredients have been added to it WATCH THIS:- that the flavor of it has been changed, even though it is called coffee it’s substance is something altogether different.
Many so-called Christians are now filled with all kinds of different ingredients that they are now something different, filled with a bunch of self-indulgent froth rather than solid Biblical substance. Instead of being warriors for God they are devoted to the gratification of self; self-focused, self-sufficient and self-absorbed way of living and worship. They are Milk-Way people that have a form of godliness but on the inside are spiritually dead. They have no power Jesus said in Matthew 23:27 “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness”. They can’t pray a headache away, can’t stand any kind of trial, can’t do as the Bible says and “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise be thankful unto him and bless his name”, but heap to themselves teachers having itching ears they want to know how can I be rich they want you to make me feel good, they say don’t preach be ye separate and holiness without no man shall see the Lord cause that doesn’t make me feel good, but tickle my fancy cause I want my best life now the whole time singing I am on my way to heaven and I’m so glad.
We are living in a time when Holiness is at an all-time low and immorality in the church and in the lives of so-called Christians is at an all-time high. Divorce among so-called saved people is at an all-time high. Wrong is being called right and right being called wrong. Compromise seems to be the accepted norm mediocrity is being pushed off as God understand. We have the Preachers of L.A and Preachers of Detroit literally making merchandise of the church. We have homosexuals laying so-called hands on Bishops speaking in a perverted form of tongues and the kundalini spirit which is the snake spirit manifesting itself and blind, deceived, and mislead so-called saved people are applauding it thinking that God is doing a new thing. The church is having communion with the world when the Bible says have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them Eph 5:11. Pulpits have lost their influence upon people because they have mixed the ingredients of the world into the church and into their lives to the point that it has nearly cheapened the Gospel message and caused people to wear the title Christian yet deny the very substance of what it takes to be like Christ.
Many people profess to know Christ, but their lives do not display the evidence of true holiness. The Bible says you will know a tree by the fruit it bears, but when a fruit tree fails to produce fruit and you mention that the tree is not doing what it is supposed to, WATCH THIS:- then you are faced with folks walking out on you, you now have to deal with a hate crime charge and people misquoting scripture and turning it all around talking about you are not to judge.
We have taken Holiness & Sanctification out of the church and now because of this our churches are filled with Milky-Way Coffee people that are full of all kinds of stuff that make them all warm and fuzzy and has literally changed them into something total different. O Zion what’s the matter now.
WATCH THIS:- When we fail to carry out the mandate of the Great Commission, when we as the salt of the earth have lost its savor when we place ours needs as the center and focus of the church and everything rotates around my happiness then we are headed for a great deception. This is the deception that pollutes our so-called Christian television today and propagates Milky-Way Coffee Christians.
TEXT:- The Bible says Galatians 6:7-8 “Be not deceived God is not mocked for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting”
The question I have for you today is what are you sowing?
WATCH THIS:- Be not deceived. DECEIVED means "to be led astray," to be led astray either by yourself or by someone else. Deception is crule, deception is a lie and the Bible says in John 8:44 “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it”. Deception is an act or statement to try and cause someone to believe something that isn’t true.
The world is filled with people who have been deceived, people who think that the lie is the truth and the truth is the lie. That is why so few people care anything about God that is why the churches all over the land are so empty on Sunday morning. They have been deceived into thinking that Church, living Holy, being separate and all that we do and stand for is all a lie. I believe the Word of God and every word in it is true. If He said it - it is so. Hell is real because Jesus said so regardless of what you think or what your momma said. He’s coming back again because it’s in the Word many people are living 2 Peter 3:4 “And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation”. They believe the lie that Jesus is not coming again, they believe the lie of pantheism that God is everything and everyone and that everyone and everything is God and the New Age Philosophy that we can achieve god-hood, this is the lie many of the entertainment industry propagate like Oprah. The Bible says in Hebrew 12:14 “Holiness without no man shall see the Lord” that is true because it’s in the word. 2 Corinthians 6:17 says “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you”. John 3:3 says “Except a man be born of the water and of the spirit he cannot see the Kingdom of God”. John 14:6 says “I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh to the father but by me”. Don’t be deceived there are not many paths to God regardless of what Oprah says. Jesus is the door and if any tries to enter in other way than by the door he is a thief and a robber.
We have people that are boldly following the Devil thinking they are following truth because he has deceived them into thinking that his word, rather than God's Word is the truth. The Bible says in Revelation 12: 9: "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:" If I can use the words of Spike Lee he has bamboozled the church there is all kind of buffoonery going on and souls are being lost, sure money is being made, some are living the life of luxury, but what about the souls that are hurting looking for someone to deliver them and bring them back into a proper relationship with God. It’s just like Lazarus and the rich man, the rich man had it going on dressed in purple living the life of luxury had the means to supposedly to help poor Lazarus but was so into himself that he couldn’t help Lazarus but the dogs came and licked his wounds. The rich man represents Milky-Way Christians that are full of froth but no substance of compassion, caring, loving, or Holy Ghost spirit and people are hurting looking for deliverance and because they are Milky-Way Coffee Christians the dogs which represent the world lick their wounds giving them a false relief. The problem is Milky-Way Coffee Christians that are deceived, that can’t help themselves let alone help someone else.
Be not deceived.
TEXT:- The Bible says Galatians 6:7-8 “Be not deceived God is not mocked for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting”
Our text continues and says:- God is not mocked That means that when we are deceived with respect to this particular principle, we mock God. The word "mock" means to turn up the nose or sneer at. That is what we do when we are deceived in this particular way. We turn up our noses at God. We sneer at God. Some people do that physically. They actually sneer at God over this principle. They laugh at God. They make fun of God. They dare God to come down out of heaven and judge them for their sins. They ridicule the idea that anything will happen to them because of their wickedness. Just watch TV?
The Bible says in Matthew 24:24 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect”. You can’t listen to every so-called preacher because there are some out there that don’t care about your soul. They are preaching all kinds of damnable doctrines and heresies that will make you feel good, but not have any substance to be able to fight the enemy.
John 8:32 says “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”. If Milky-Way Coffee Christians don’t have the truth, they can’t do anything but sin. If one is to live a Godly life they must know and love the truth. It is so important that you are filled with truth and not filled with all other ingredients. Understand you cannot even think of being Godly, of doing good, of living a pious life, if you do not know the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The whole of our Christian life rests upon the truth
God is not mocked – Paul is talking about and attitude of one that thinks they have gotten away with something. Don’t be deceived judgment is coming, there is a consequence to pay for sin, there is a consequence to pay for being a Milky-Way Coffee Christian.
The Devil would like you to think that we can do evil, that we can sin, that we can live a wicked life, and still reap good instead of evil. We can break God's commandments and still be blessed by Him. We can live like the Devil, do all kinds of wickedness, and when we die we still go to heaven and receive all the joys that God has given. I got a problem with how Christianity is portrayed on television just because a person sings a gospel song doesn’t mean that they are a Christian. Just because a rapper says Jesus walks in their song doesn’t mean they are saved. Holiness without no man shall see the Lord. Judgment is coming and there is going to be a great multitude of people that will cry out on that day Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Jesus is going to answer I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Be not deceived!

GODLY PRINCIPAL:- God has ordained that we reap what we sow it’s a spiritual principal that cannot be changed. Man has created laws that satisfy flesh, they have made laws that have tried to call wrong right and right wrong. However, the law to reap what you sow is God’s law and it cannot be changed. What you plant will produce that which is planted. No farmer plants a field of corn expecting to get strawberries because he planted corn seed corn is what he is going to get that’s the God Principal - for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. We see here from these words it is clear that the Paul is applying this general principle to moral, ethical, spiritual things. He uses words like "flesh," "corruption," "Spirit," "life eternal." These are spiritual concepts. First of all, let us look at the first part of the statement: "For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption."
SOW TO THE FLESH? The word "flesh" refers to our old, sinful nature, the old man, all that we are in Adam, all that we are apart from the grace of God, apart from regeneration. It is that wicked nature that is passed down to us from our fore-fathers, going all the way back to our first father, Adam. The flesh is that sinful nature which produces the works of the flesh: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and all such things. To sow to the flesh is the same thing as doing the works of the flesh. It is the same thing as walking in the flesh, or living according to the flesh, or fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. One who sows to the flesh lives out of his sinful nature. He does the sin that his sinful nature encourages him to do. He lives the wicked life. He commits adultery. He murders. He lies and so on and so forth.
But that is not all. For a person might sow to the flesh without committing any of these outward sins. One sows to the flesh also when he is entirely occupied with the things of this world, with earthly things, with materialistic things. A man may be very honest. He may be honorable. He may be religious, but if he doesn't look to heavenly things, if he does not seek Christ, the Gospel, and the truth, then he, too, sows to the flesh.
What will such a person reap who sows to the flesh? Notice the text: "...shall of the flesh reap corruption." Corruption! The idea is that if you plant a field of flesh, sinful deeds, you will harvest corruption. That's what you will get at the time of harvest. The word "corruption" means literally destruction, parish. It is very closely associated with the idea of death, as the punishment of sin. God told Adam that in the day that he ate of the forbidden tree he would surely die and he did die. He died spiritually. He died physically. If it had not been for regeneration he would have died eternally.
The man who sows a field of flesh will find that his labors end in ruin. A carnal life, whether spent in the greatest pollutions or the strictest observance of a merely worldly religion, must always end in destruction. It may not seem like it right now but don’t be deceived judgment is coming. Solomon in Ecclesiastes 8:12-13 says “Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God”. It may seem like you are getting away with things now. Well the Pastor doesn’t know what I am doing. I am 3 x 7 I can do what I want. Don’t be deceived God is not mocked. Sowing to the flesh will end up in corruption.
but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting - SOW TO THE SPIRIT. To sow to the Spirit means that we walk in the Spirit. We live according to the Spirit. We do those things which are the fruit of the Spirit. This is our calling as Christians. We are those who have the very Spirit of God Himself living in our hearts. We are to walk by that Spirit and sow to that Spirit.
The Spirit here is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit whom we receive at the time that we are regenerated. He is the Spirit who gives to us the new nature and who produces, out of that new nature, the fruit of the Spirit, good works, such things as love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, and many other things like that.
And what will happen to us if we sow to the Spirit? WATCH THIS:- "...shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." When we sow a field of Spirit works, Spirit fruit, then when harvest time comes we will reap eternal life.
Matthew 19: 29: "And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life." Life everlasting” -- that is the very opposite of corruption and death. Life everlasting is God's life. It is not merely physical life. It is not the life of this world. It is eternal life, the life of Jesus Christ. If we sow to the Spirit by the grace of God, when we die we will go to heaven. And there we will be with Christ. There we will be with God. There we will have blessed fellowship and communion with our Savior. And when the world comes to an end, we will enter into the glory of the eternal kingdom of God in the new heavens and the new earth. Then all the blessing of that kingdom will be ours. We will enjoy all the good things that God has for His people, things which we have never imagined, things which our eyes have not seen, things which we have never heard with our ears. And that will be our place forever. Everlasting life is life that goes on forever and ever and evermore. That's the blessing that we harvest when we sow to the Spirit.
But not only eternal life in heaven, also eternal life right now in this life. Rather than fear, rather than misery, rather than turmoil; peace and joy, happiness, comfort, feeling good inside. And in our relationships with each other, peace and harmony. When a husband sows to the Spirit, he'll have a wife who loves him, who submits to him, who is good to him. When a father sows to the Spirit, he'll have children who honor him, who obey him, who want to make him happy, who will please him. When he sows to the Spirit his brothers and sisters in the Lord will feel good about being around him. They'll want to encourage him and help him and share with him. He'll have peace in his church. He'll have peace in his community. He will reap what he has sown. That's quite a principle, isn't it. It has very serious consequences. We better take this seriously, whether we are young people, children, or adults. We better reckon with God's rule. Be not deceived.
Don’t be a Milky-Way Coffee Christian that is full of froth and has no substance. The Bible says 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature old things are passed away; behold; all things are become new”.
Solomon said in Eccelisaties 6:3 “If a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he”. Be filled with good and the good is the Holy Ghost.
