2 Timothy 3:5-Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (KJV)
5-having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! (NKJV)
5-They will act as if they are religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. You must stay away from people like that. (NLT)
5-they will go church, yes, but they won't really believe anything they hear. Don't be taken in by people like that. (The Living Bible)
They pray for people but they don't really believe there will be no change.
They witness to people but they really don't think, they will change!
They tithe but they don't really believe it will make a difference!
They read their bible, but they don't really believe those stories are true!
They read about the parting of the red sea, feeding of the 5 thousand, and it is as fairytales to them!
They believe God can do miracles but they don't believe He will do one in there life.
They believe in God alright, but they don’t really believe God takes a active part in their life, that He’s not really concerned about their needs!
May I give you some modern day events, where we can see God working in people’s lives!!
"’\/\/hat does heaven look like?' my 4 year old, Tamra, asked one day.
I was startled, considering our topic of conversation was usually cartoons.
Then it hit me. It had been a week since her goldfish, Gill, had died.
"'How about you draw picture of what you think it might be like,'
I said. With a nod, Tamra scurried off to her room. A half hour later, she
returned to show me her master-piece. . and my heart nearly stopped.
The drawing had gold clouds, and a woman with bright red hair, wearing
a blue apron, pink shoes and holding a goldfish bowl. It looked just like
my mother, who died long before Tamra was born.
"'\/\/ho is this pretty Lady?' I asked, finally finding my voice.
Tamra smiled as if she knew her well. ’I met her in a dream.
She said she’s my nana and that's how heaven looks.
She told me she loves me and will take care of Gill
“My heart full of joy, I hung our beautiful glimpse of
heaven on the refrigerator." Ann Meyer, Portland Org.

This cop had just become a new Christian and he had got into a little trouble witnessing to the other cops now he was transferred to another division and thought to himself.
I'm just going to keep my mouth shut and do my job, there was a guy, an older man who everybody kind of feared, he also liked bullying people, or at least picking on people.
One day on his shift he drove by and that officer was sitting in his vehicle in an empty parking lot.
And the Lord spoke to this young man, "Go, take him some coffee and tell him about me!"
The young man exclaimed, "I'll take him some coffee but isn’t no way I'm going to say anything about you do you know what he'll do to me do you know how he'll make fun of me probably in front of all the other officers!"
He made a deal with the Lord finally after much discussion. "Ok, Lord I'll take him some coffee and I'll talk to him about you, if he still sitting there, after I make my rounds!"
Sure enough when you around the corner there he set.
So he went in the convenience store
Trying to kill as much time as he possibly could!
He got in his patrol car drove across the street to the empty parking lot but the officer was sitting pulled up beside him and rolled down his window.
He already had in his mind what he was going to say he's going to office to some coffee and then somehow turn the conversation in about talking about the Lord.
But as soon as he opened his mouth, he said, " Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior!"
He said, that was not what I was going to say, I sure wasn't going to blurt it out like that.
The other officer ducked his head and didn't say anything for a long time.
Young man said I didn't know what I should just drive off or what I should do.
Then the older office spoke up, " My wife left me last night, said she was tired of my drinking, I was just sitting here thinking about taking my gun and end in my life and to answer your question, No I don't!"
So the young police officer, told him about Jesus and they prayed the sinner's prayer together and he asked Christ and in his heart!!

David & Betty Crain
Definition of boat…Bring On Another Thousand-(Thought Chris would like that!)
November 3, 2011, David wrote on his blog, that his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer, they would remove both breast, and follow up treatment.
To make a long story short, the treatment was a drug that cost 20,000 dollars a treatment, and she would have to have 12 treatments, a price of 240,000.
They sold everything they could, but could only come up with enough money to pay for two treatments, He went to do a youth camp in Alabama, and after he had sang and preached, someone came on stage and told the youth what his wife was going thru, they had a great prayer service for David and Betty. After everybody had left, and David was gathering up his equipment, a guy walked up to him, (He noticed, he was talking on the phone) and asked him, “Is your wife taking and called the name of the drug?”
David said, “Yes, she is, how did you know that?”
The man said, “That a real expensive drug, how are you paying for that?”
David said, “Well, to tell you the truth, we could only come up with the two treatments, that’s why I’m back on the road, instead being home with my wife.”
The man said, “My company manufactures the drug your wife is taking, and I was talking to the board members, and we are supplying the rest of the drug for your wife’s treatment, and also refunding your money for the first two treatments! By the way, I really didn’t want to come tonight, this was for the kids, but my wife made me, now I know why I was suppose to be here!”
