He'll Do It Again
turn with me to
Mal 3:6 - For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
then over to
James 1:17 - Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
then finally to
Num 23:19 - God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Some people believe that God is like a genie in a bottle. All you get is two or three good wises out of him, so you had better pick them wisely. After your wishes are gone he is once again powerless.
Some people treat God like a vending machine. You just keep picking the thing that you want from God and push that button until the machine is empty, and then It’s all over.
Some people treat God like he is able to handle little problems but the big problems we had better handle on our own.
Some people treat God like he is a weak and puny God and not able to do very much at all.
But I want to preach to you today is that he is well able to meet your needs right now!
∑ his arm is not short
∑ his ear is not deaf
∑ he is not slack concerning his promise
∑ his promises are true and sure
∑ his love is far reaching
∑ his power has not dried up
∑ his word is still true
When you need him he will be there and what he has done in the past he can do it again!
He is not a vending machine or a genie in a bottle. He is not a weak and puny God. But he is God almighty. He is God all by himself. He said in his word that “I am God and I change not”.
If he did it for someone else he can do it for you.
If he did it before he can do it again.
I. The Bible proves this idea that he can do it again.

PROVIDING A SUPPLY OF OIL
1 Kings 17:13-16 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.
2 Kings 4:1-7 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbors, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full. So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
God did it once for the widow of Zarapheth and God did it again for the widow of Bethel.
maybe you have a financial need today?
God met financial problems in the bible and he can do it again today!
The cattle on a thousand hills belong to him.
The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just.
He is able to meet every need that you have today!
PARTING THE WATER
Exodus 14:21 - And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
Joshua 3:15-16 And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,) That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.
God parted the waters of the Red Sea, for the children of Israel, once and then he parted the waters of the Jordan River for them again.
2 Kings 2:8 - And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
2 Kings 2:14 - And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
God did it once for Elijah and then he did it again for Elisha.
I want you to know today that if you are facing a Red Sea situation in your life, where you can’t go:
∑ forward
∑ backward
∑ left
∑ right
∑ there’s no way out
God is still able to part the waters of the mighty Red Sea in your life.
God is still able to make a way when there is no way.
God is still able to bring light to darkness.
RAPTURING INDIVIDUALS
Genesis 5:24 - And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
2 Kings 2:11 - And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
God did it once for Enoch and he did it again for Elijah.
God will do it again for the Church
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
POURING OUT THE HOLY GHOST
Acts 2:1-4 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Acts 10:44-46 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.
Acts 19:6 - And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
God poured out the Holy spirit on the Day of Pentecost to the 120.
And then he poured out the Holy spirit again at the house of Cornelius
And then he did it again for the disciples of John at Ephesus
I’m preaching to you today that if God poured out the Holy spirit in the Bible that he still wants to pour it out today here at the maple street church.
If God poured out the Holy spirit once for someone he wants to do it again for you today!!!
and he is able!!!
God has proven himself time and time again
∑ in sickness he has healed
∑ in financial problems he has been a provider
∑ in trouble he has been a savior
∑ in crisis situations he has been a waymaker
∑ in the storms of life he has been a shelter
∑ in loneliness he has been a friend
What I want to preach to you today is that if he did it for me, he can do it again for you!!!!
The bible says “his compassions fail not”.
The bible says that he will never forget you.
that he will never leave or forsake you
like the songwriter wrote
You may not know how and you may not know when but HE’LL DO IT AGAIN!!!!
