To learn and develop a good habit of HEARING, RECEIVING and BEARING FRUIT because of the WORD.
IV. TEXT:
Mark 4:20 (Amplified Bible)
4:20 And those sown on the good (well-adapted) soil are the ones who hear the Word and receive and accept and welcome it and bear fruit —some thirty times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some [even] a hundred times as much.
V. THESIS:
Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS, for because of You I HEAR, RECEIVE AND BEAR FRUIT because of the WORD OF GOD - the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Because of You, I am a good ground.

VII. EXPLICATION:

VIII. MAIN BODY:
The Seed is the WORD of GOD, there can't be nothing better than the WORD. The perfection of the WORD DOES NOT depend on the quality of the ground but the fruit-bearing part of the WORD is affected by the ground quality. It's our decision, choice and free will to let the WORD of GOD do it's thing on our lives, to bear fruit, if we make, prepare and decide to be good ground.
Sown, seed or "speiro" in Greek meaning:
1. to scatter
2. to sow
3. receive seed
The function or part of the WORD of GOD is to be scattered, sown and received.
Good or "kalos" in Greek meaning:
1. properly beautiful
2. valuable or virtuous
3. better, fair, good, honest, meet, well, worthy
Ground or "ge" in Greek meaning:
1. soil
2. region
3. ground, land, world
The LORD JESUS will make sure every people on all the earth will be sown with His WORDS because the LORD JESUS CHRIST is the Sower.
Romans 10:18 (Amplified Bible)
10:18 But I ask, Have they not heard? Indeed they have; [for the Scripture says] Their voice [that of nature bearing God’s message] has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the far bounds of the world.

A. They hear the WORD
"the good (well-adapted) soil are the ones who hear the Word"
Hear or "akouo" in Greek meaning:
1. to hear
2. to give audience - meaning you look at them too, you use both your eyes and ears to give audience.
3. to understand - the bible assumes that when you hear the WORD, you also UNDERSTAND IT.
Romans 10:17 (Amplified Bible)
10:17 So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).
Isaiah 50:4 (Amplified Bible)
50:4 [The Servant of God says] The Lord God has given Me the tongue of a disciple and of one who is taught, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He wakens Me morning by morning, He wakens My ear to hear as a disciple [as one who is taught].
GOD in His Grace, Mercy and Kindness has given us as His servants a good tongue and a good ear.
Our part is to declare "I am a good listener." "I have good ears!" Say this over and over again yourself, and let your physical ears hear it. If you feel sleepy, wake your soul not your eyes.

Remember, that you're not sleepy because you (1) you sleep less, (2) you work hard, (3) you sleep more, (4) you can't sleep at night, (5) you never slept the day before, the REAL REASON why you're sleepy is because You DON'T WANT TO HEAR THE WORD, you have REJECTED knowledge.
Hosea 4:6 (Amplified Bible)
4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.
B. They receive the WORD
"and receive and accept and welcome it"
People go to church expecting something new, new song, new message, new pastor, new worship leader, but they forgot that's not their purpose why they are in church. Our very purpose why we're in church is to (1) hear the WORD, (2) receive the WORD, and (3) bear fruit. That's about it.
Jeremiah 23:29 (Amplified Bible)
23:29 Is not My word like fire [that consumes all that cannot endure the test]? says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks in pieces the rock [of most stubborn resistance]?
People will come expecting a message but when a message of the preacher hits them like a rock and hammer, they will reject it, they will say immediately in their heart "Oh, no, the message is not for me, this pastor is hitting me hard, it's not for me, it's for my neighbor, it's for the one who sits on my left and sits on my right, but not for me, and immediately the WORD is being stolen by the devil.
Mark 4:15 (Amplified Bible)
4:15 The ones along the path are those who have the Word sown [in their hearts], but when they hear, Satan comes at once and [by force] takes away the message which is sown in them.
You see that the first purpose was already done, they HEARD it already, but they did not continue to second purpose: RECEIVE.
Receive or "paradechomai" in Greek meaning:
1. to accept near
2. admit
3. delight in
Here is where the difference lie, all people HEARS or pretends to HEAR the WORD, but some people are already saying "HALLELUJAH! Praise the LORD!", some are even clapping and lifting their hands in worship and smiles everywhere from ear to ear, while some are sleepy. It's because the first one are able to receive and delight in the WORD, but some are not. They are asleep because the WORD have been stolen already.
Say "The WORD OF GOD can't be stolen from me because I fully understand, I fully admit, welcomes and accepts the WORD OF GOD 100% and I will bear 100-fold fruit."
Hebrews 12:6 (Amplified Bible)
12:6 For the Lord corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes.
In a relationship it goes both ways, the LORD receives, accepts and welcomes us but we have to do our part, we RECEIVE the WORD as well, if we receive it, then we receive the LORD JESUS HIMSELF.
John 1:1 (Amplified Bible)
1:1 IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.
The WORD of GOD that we receive is the testimony of JESUS. Apostle Paul was warned by the LORD to get out of Jerusalem quickly for the people there will not RECEIVE His WORDS.
Acts 22:18 (Amplified Bible)
22:18 And I saw Him as He said to me, Hurry, get quickly out of Jerusalem, because they will not receive your testimony about Me.
C. They bear fruit
"and bear fruit —some thirty times as much as was sown, some sixty times as much, and some [even] a hundred times as much."
1. Same quality of fruit but different quantity
If the first part is easy: HEAR, the second part is easier: RECEIVE, and the third part is the EASIEST: BEAR FRUIT. Because we are only branches, the fruit comes from the tree not the branches.
John 15:1-3 (Amplified Bible)
15:1 I AM the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.
15:2 Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit.
15:3 You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you].
Remember, if we will not do the first part: HEAR THE WORD, the WORD will not cleanse and prune us, that's why we will not bear fruits. But if we do our part: HEAR, RECEIVE, then GOD will do His part: BEAR FRUIT.
John 15:4-5 (Amplified Bible)
15:4 Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.
15:5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.
IX. CONCLUSION:
Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS, for because of You I HEAR, RECEIVE AND BEAR FRUIT because of the WORD OF GOD - the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Because of You, I am a good ground.
