SERMON:
“His father Isaac answered him; your dwelling will be away from the earth’s riches, away from the dew of heaven above. You will live by the sword and you will serve your brother. But when you grow restless, you will break his yoke from off your neck” Gen 27:40
Many people, like Esau, have had a life programmed for difficulties. They have a yoke placed on their shoulders thus there is a limit they can’t go beyond. This can be through unbroken curses, and so they need to break the yoke binding them before they cancel any curse spoken against them. Anytime they want to break through they find it difficult. They have yokes of limitations placed their way by the devil, in the spiritual realms. Their life is characterized by lack, pain, fear, hopelessness, poverty, disease, failure etc. Many have tried to break through but have failed, while others have. You don’t have to be yoked with this. Esau was told by his father the secret of breaking free from this yoke- he had to be tired of it and grow restless.
You can't just be complaining about your current unwanted situation without doing something about it. The scripture said that you have to become uncomfortable by
- unable to stay still or quiet
- ceaselessly active or moving: the restless wind.
- worried; anxious; uneasy
- not restful; without repose: a restless night.
People like Hannah and Jacob became restless in the bible and found solution and break the yokes in their like. You should be restless until your heaven opens. Arise, ask the lord to reveal to you the yokes in your life, and break them in Jesus name. Speak to every yoke, early in the morning, day time and even at night. Demand every yoke be broken. Mention it by name and persist in your prayers till dew from heaven relocates you.
Isaiah 10:27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
There is a yoke-breaking anointing. God tells us in the bible that “I will make a way where there is no way”. There is a facility of escape. Man’s word is not final because man is mortal.
WHAT IS A YOKE?
1. A Satanic instrument of oppression used to limit a person’s growth, promotion, fulfillment. Breakthrough, etc. It is a hindering barrier.
2. A Satanic device that sponsors affliction in the lives of people. 1st Kings 12:11 And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father hath chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions. Friends, you cannot negotiate with Satan. The dark places of this earth are full of the habitation of cruelty. EVERY power assigned to prolong your problems, may the ground open up and swallow them in the MIGHTY name of Jesus!
3. A yoke is something that places the destiny of a man in the hands of the enemy. A prisoner cannot eat what he pleases or go anywhere he wants to. In Acts 12:6 we are told that Peter was in prison between two soldiers bound with TWO chains and there were keepers who kept the prison door!!! The only thing that could free the destiny of Peter was a divine intervention. You will be released TONIGHT!!!
WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF YOKE DESTINIES?
When you are enduring life instead of enjoying it. This is a gradual resignation to fate. This is not the will of God.
When instead of being an asset, you are a liability
When the journey of 1day is taking 10 years.
When you are carrying a load. Joseph’s brothers carried a load on their heads plus an extra load.
8. When a person’s wellbeing is under ceaseless attack. The good news is that YOU WILL BE FREE!!! If the son therefore shall set you free, YOU ARE FREE INDEED!!!
WHY IS JESUS A YOKE BREAKER?
Jesus is a mighty yoke breaker because His the anointed one. Whatever the yoke is, Jesus breaks it. No matter who or what placed the yoke, Jesus doesn’t just take away the yoke, He destroys the yoke. This scripture speaks life into your life today, though written in the setting of Israel’s captivity by Assyrian but the power is alive in you today, breaking every yoke of Assyrian captivity in your life and family. Today whatever that holds you down is broken in Jesus name. The anointing sets you free, and today will be a day of celebrating liberty and victory in your life and family. Amen.
BELIEVERS’ WEAPON FOR DESTROYING YOKES
1.Name of Jesus. The bible tells us that those who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
2. The word of God (Hebrews 4:12).
3. The Blood of Jesus (Rev. 12:11)
4. Fasting with prayer (Isaiah 58:6)
5. Praise and worship
6. Faith. So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” (Matthew 17:20-21 NKJV)
7. The Holy Spirit which is The Anointing. Act 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
8. Sacrificial giving. Pro.22:9 - He...shall be blessed; for he giveth...to poor
Pro.28:27a - He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack
Eccl.11:1 - Cast thy bread upon the waters: thou shalt find it
2Cor.9:6b - He which soweth bountifully shall reap bountifully.
What you need to break the yoke...
1. The annointing destroy the yoke.
Mark 5:25-34, "And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague."
There are two pivotal words in the account of the healing of the woman with the issue of blood. Those words are “virtue” and “faith.” The Greek word “virtue” is translated dunamis or miraculous power.
Jesus knowing immediately that virtue or power had gone out of him, looked around and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” Then Jesus turned around and saw who had touched Him, and said to the woman, “...Daughter, THY FAITH hath made thee whole...” (Mark 5:34).
Some people say, “I thought that the power that flowed out of Jesus - the healing anointing - made that woman whole! But Jesus said, “Daughter, your faith has made you whole.”
Why did Jesus say that?
When Jesus asked, “Who touched my clothes?” the disciples said to Jesus, “...thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou who touched me?” (Mark 5:31). In other words, they were saying, “How can you ask who touched you when so many people touched you?”
You know yourself if you were in a crowd of people when everyone was pressing in upon you, you would get touched on every side. But the power of God isn’t activated by just the incidental touch.
We know Jesus was anointed with power, because Acts 10:38 says, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power. . .” Then we also read where Jesus said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me . . .” (Luke 4:18). In that same passage, Jesus said, “This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.” (Luke 4:21). In other words, Jesus was saying, “I AM ANOINTED!”
So we know Jesus was anointed or empowered by the Holy Spirit, yet most of the time He didn’t heal people by the anointing alone. For the most part, the other person’s faith was also involved.
As you read the four Gospels carefully, not one time will you find where Jesus ever said to anyone, “According to My faith be it done unto you.” Not one single time did Jesus say to anyone, “According to the apostles’ faith be it done unto you.” But as we saw in this account of the woman with the issue of blood, again and again Jesus said, “According to your faith be it done unto you” (Matthew 8:13; 9:29; 15:28; Mark 10:52).
The man I'm praying for...
We need to realize that God is present everywhere. Because He is present everywhere, so is His power. His power may not be in manifestation, but it is there.
Why doesn’t God’s power come into manifestation in every circumstance to heal every sick person? It doesn’t for one simple reason that it takes someone exercising faith to release or activate the power or anointing. You see, the power of God is inactive, passive, or inert until faith is exercised. But once God’s power is activated, it will break every yoke.
This same principle of activating a power source applies in the natural realm. For instance, plugging a fan into an electrical outlet on a hot summer day activates the power of electricity and causes the fan to cool the air.
However, if no one plugs in the fan, the fan won’t work and the room stays hot. In that same case, the power of electricity is present and available to cool the room, but it isn’t being utilized or activated. In order to tap into the power and cool the room, someone has to plug in the fan!
You can imagine how strange it would be for someone to say, “I have a fan to cool this room. It’s not plugged in, but I’m just waiting for the electricity to make this fan work!”
That fan is not going to work until someone plugs it in! The electricity is already there; someone just needs to tap into it to activate it. It is the same with healing. We just need to tap into the power of God that is already available and activate it by faith in His Word! When faith is mixed with the power of God, the anointing breaks every yoke!
If people only realized it, there is enough power - more than enough power - in every sick room to heal anyone who needs healing.
We can see an example of this in Jesus’ ministry in Luke 5.
Luke 5:17, "And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them."
Notice two things. First, the power of the Lord was present to heal people. Jesus was anointed with that power.
Second, notice that even though the power of the Lord was present to heal people, it doesn’t mention one singe person getting healed. The only person the Bible records being healed in this account was the paralyzed man who was lowered through the roof of the house by his four friends (Luke 5:18,19). And the Bible says Jesus healed that paralyzed man because He saw their faith (Luke 5:20-25).
The faith of the four men, plus the faith of the paralyzed man, activated the power of God to effect a healing and a cure in the man’s body and the paralyzed man immediately rose up healed!!
That’s where some Christians have missed it. They’ve though, We don’t have the anointing. That’s the reason we’re not receiving from God. No, they had the power of God all the time; they just didn’t mix any faith with it. They just didn’t know how to tap into the power that was already available to them.
The power of God won’t do a thing in the world by itself. It’s inactive, inert, and passive until faith is mixed with it - until someone taps into it by believing and acting upon God’s Word! You see, faith gives action to the anointing or the power of God. If there is no faith to give action to the anointing, nothing will happen!
Whatever you are believing God for, mix faith with it! Exercise your faith and watch God work on your behalf as His anointing breaks every yoke of bondage!
What is your yoke today... It shall be destroy...
Matthew 11:28-29; “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
Is it a financial one? That yoke can be broken.
Is it barrenness, it shall be destroy... According to your faith..Faith for the finances must be used the same way you use faith for salvation, healing or the baptism of the Spirit.
Destroying The Yoke of Poverty
Poverty Is A Yoke. It Is A Product Of Demonic Robbery.
Isaiah 42:22 - But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore. (KJV)
For yoke of poverty to be destroy, you have to apply the law of sacrificial giving..
In 1 Kings 17:8-16 there was a widow, she was about to die, no food in the house, no money in the account, no helper anywhere and suddenly a prophet showed up and said, “Woman, your day of breakthrough has come, no more hunger, no more pain, no more poverty, even if death comes to this house, we will chase it out. But, that your last meal go and bring it. If the woman had refused to surrender that meal that day she would have died soon and she would have died poor. But she brought the food and the Almighty God spoke through His prophet and said, no more lack in that house and that was the end of lack. In the house of somebody here tonight, there'll be no more lack.
Arise, get thee to Zarephath…I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee (I Kings 17:9).
Listen... It takes God to send a prophet to anoint you. If The Lord has not send the prophet, if he anoint you, it will not do anything,
You can't bless who God has not bless....
God said go,
God said to Samuel, go and anoint Saul, and when he did his life change...
God was providing that widow a chance to give to Him that He might give to her. That is what she need to do for the yoke of poverty to break in her life..He would ask her to give all and if she did, great blessings were to follow. Elijah said to her, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand (verse 11).
Elijah said to her, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand (verse 11).
And she said, As the Lord thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die (verse 12). What a bleak outlook!
When you’re down that low, you may just as well give your last morsel to God because you’ll soon meet Him.
Would you have baked that cake for Elijah; would you have given God a chance?
God doesn’t want you to wait until you are out of debt before you pay your tithes and love offerings.
God said if you fail in your tithes and offerings that you have robbed Him. Bring ye all the tithes…prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10).
If you have 10million,, it can go if you are not a tithe.
God can blow what is in your hand away..
“ You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the LORD of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house. Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit. For I called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the ground brings forth, on men and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands.” (Haggai 1:9-11 NKJV)
The widow woman believed Elijah when he told her what thus saith the Lord God of Israel: The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth (verse 14).
It was the anointing that destroy the yoke of poverty in the life of that woman. When you give what you have the anointing power of God will fall on it.
It takes faith to give your all to God.
That woman made a cake for Elijah first. It took great faith, for not only her life, but also the life of her son was at stake. To think that she would give that last handful of meal to the man of God rather than her own son is hard for many to imagine. But.... Someone say but....When she went back to that meal barrel, it was filled and running over, the cruse of oil full, too.
And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah (verse 16).
James 2:24 ESV
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
Hebrews 11:7 ESV
By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
He did not just say I beleive, he worked..
I pause to prophesy. The word of God concerning your life shall not fail.
It wasn’t magic or luck; it came about through faith in God. The widow’s yoke had been broken through faith in the anointing of God.
She gave her last to God and found that she could never out–give God. The anointing in Elijah’s life helped bring about deliverance for that woman. Miracle power worked in Elijah’s life; miracle power broke the bondage.
It take faith to pay your tithe... Most especially if the tithe is a lot...but... If you are faithful...
He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. (Luke 16:10 NKJV)
By the grace of God bestow upon me...every bondage in your life shall be destroy in the name of Jesus.
God can work a miracle for your needs whatever they are: physical, mental, spiritual or financial. Perhaps your need is more money: God may move you about, send you job hunting. If God directs you to peddle papers on the corner, He will prosper you; wherever He sends you, you will prosper. Your will must always come second to His. Desire what He wants for you. When people come to me who need jobs, I tell them to put in their application at five or six places they would like to work, and we’ll pray. It works! Don’t sit around waiting for a job to fall into your lap; do something about it.
Anointing is the yoke breaker. It smoothens the rough, makes able the unable, makes the formerly weak very powerful. The anointing is there to bring a difference to your life and circumstances.
It was the level of the anointing in the life David that empower him to destroy Goliath...
What you couldn't do before, you now can with the anointing, what was previously unreachable is now within your grasp due to the it.With the anointing now on you,you are unstoppable. Its is the fuel that enables you to move even into zones that were beyond you,use it.Don't sit on it,you are anointed not to remain dormant and stagnant but to conquer territories,to subdue strongholds. You're empowered by the anointing,go ahead and do mighty works in Jesus's name!!!
