Praise, worship and thank You very much, LORD JESUS for the LORD JESUS is our altar, sacrifice, high priest and Banner, All in One. I worship, glorify and honor You JESUS in my life.

"And Moses built an altar"
Moses signifies, represents or symbolizes any CHRISTian believer eager to worship GOD.
Altar is any elevated place or a table where sacrifices are offered. Nowadays, it's the altar is the Church, where we living sacrifices are offered or it's the stage where GOD's message is being preached, is the front of the stage where an altar call is held or the pulpit where GOD's WORD is supported and read.
Romans 12:1 (Amplified Bible)
12:1 I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.
Hebrews 13:10 (Amplified Bible)
13:10 We have an altar from which those who serve and worship in the tabernacle have no right to eat.
Those who serve and worship in the tabernacle in the Old Testament are not entitled to serve, because altar in the New Testament is the church, pulpit or CHRIST Himself, but during the Old testament, the altar are full of dead sacrifices of animals, blood of animals, while the altar are filled with living sacrifices. This is to separate the worship system of the Old testament and the New testament worship.
We have CHRIST as our altar where we are offered as a living sacrifice. Wherever and whenever we choose to worship we "build" altars of worship for the LORD.
In the Old Testament:
The altar - elevated place made of stones
The priest - human priest that offers sacrifices
The sacrifice - dead animal whose blood was spilled
In the New Testament:
The altar - CHRIST
The priest - CHRIST
The sacrifice - CHRIST (dead and now alive) and us (living sacrifice)

We only attract people to come thru the cross, there's no other way, or other way of attracting them.

"and called the name of it, The Lord is my Banner;"
Jehovah-Nissi - The LORD is my Victory. The LORD is my Sign or Flag. Unbelievers can carry different sign, banner or flag but as believers we only carry one flag, one sign, one banner - the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

22:14 So Abraham called the name of that place The Lord Will Provide. And it is said to this day, On the mount of the Lord it will be provided.

33:20 There he erected an altar and called it El-Elohe-Israel [God, the God of Israel].

When you start to worship and pray, you build an altar and that's the time you exercise and practice your faith.
Every time we have enemies, or face enemies, the LORD will introduce Himself with a new name. Some of the people in the bible who got has a revelation of GOD's new name after encountering an enemy:
1. Jacob - after running from Canaanites and the Perizzites. He got the name of El-Bethel

34:30 And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, You have ruined me, making me infamous and embroiling me with the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites and the Perizzites! And we are few in number, and they will gather together against me and attack me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my household.

35:7 There he built an altar, and called the place El-bethel [God of Bethel], for there God revealed Himself to him when he fled from the presence of his brother.
2. Moses - after defeating the Amalekites. He got the name of Jehovah Nissi a new revealed name of GOD.

17:15 And Moses built an altar and called the name of it, The Lord is my Banner;
3. Jacob - after encountering Esau, that tried to kill him. He got the name of "El-Elohe-Israel"

4. Gideon - prophesied to defeat the Midianites. He got the name of "Jehovah-Shalom"

6:24 Then Gideon built an altar there to the Lord and called it, The Lord is Peace. To this day it still stands in Ophrah, which belongs to the Abiezrites.
These are but some people of the bible who got a new revealed name of GOD upon their lives after they encounter an enemy. I'm sure you will find more of them. Whatever name will you find, it's guaranteed it's the LORD JESUS CHRIST - LORD of lords, KING of kings.
