My wife is a very wise shopper. She, there are many things about her that I love. In the morning service I said that there were many, many, many, many, many, many things cuz she was sitting right there. But there are many things about my wife that I love. 1 of them is that she is a very wise shopper. She goes to, I have to, I wrote em down cuz I want to make sure I got the place right. Ah Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, Home Goods kind of like where you get name brand stuff for cheap. She’s always coming home saying – Look what I got. Guess how much? And she’s bragging about her, her deals. But sometimes I don’t understand what it is that she has bought. So she’ll show it to me and she may even tell me the name but I have to ask why? Like what does it do?
So for all you guys that live with women you probably notice some things in your house that you don’t understand what it’s for. Like she came back with a thing and it sat on the table and I said – What is that? She says – this is what you put napkins in for the, for the table. I says – Well why can’t you just lay them on the table? Fellas can I get an amen? Or a box that you put the Kleenex box in. Fellas are you, am I the only one? Does they, it already has a box.
I wrote a couple of these things down. Let me see, Tupperware! Tupperware, I love Tupperware. My mother bought Tupperware when I was a kid but you know how you have all these different sizes? Why don’t you just get one and it has everything? It can hold everything. You don’t need those small tubs. Anyway.
Today when I went home I was starting to look. We, we had a conversation about this when I went home today after the morning services. I started looking around at the stuff in the kitchen and I noticed that she had these glass jars with pasta in them. You know the different color pastas? And that thing’s been sitting there for like years and I’m like – When are we gonna eat that pasta? Right? Aren’t you supposed to eat it? Right, right see I don’t get that. I don’t get that. Then you had thee, you have plates that have words on them and they just sit in the corner standing up. Now plates usually lay flat. You put food on top. These plates just sit. So I don’t get it.
So I always ask you know – Why this? Why that? Why this? And whenever you ask a why question you’re asking a question about purpose. What is the purpose? And as we continue the series called Who is God, everyone say who is God, as we continue the series about who is God we’ve been looking over the last few weeks using this living room behind me as a metaphor, we’ve been looking at the evidence that there not only is a God but the evidence of what kind of God He is and what kind of relationship we should have with this God based on that living room.
Let’s do a little review. We, we ah learned that a few weeks ago that the living room is a limited object. A limited object is an object that cannot start or create itself. Everything you know of, everything you’ve ever seen is a limited object. It was created by something else and so when we look at this living room the TV was created by someone else. The picture on the wall, the clock, the couch is all a limited object. So based on the definition of a limited object we learned that somebody had to cause the living room.
And then after we learned that someone had to cause the living room, it couldn’t have caused by itself. We also learned that someone had to design the living room. Everyone say cause, say design. So we learned that someone had to cause and we, we learned that someone had to design the living room. We came to the conclusion that a man caused the living rooms. People put it there.
And then we started saying – someone also had to cause this building. The building is a limited object and it couldn’t have caused itself. Your car is a limited object. Your shirt, your shoes, your socks, it’s all limited objects. All those things had to be caused or created by somebody and they had to be designed by somebody.
And then we said –You know what? Some people don’t believe in God. So we created this nothing jar right here. The nothing jar has nothing in it. Ok? Because some people don’t believe in God and they believe everything created was created or brought about by nothing. It just happened by itself. But we all came to the conclusion, all of us but 1 person and I think that 1 person changed his mind by the end of the service. We call came to the conclusion that it’s impossible for nothing to have caused the living room. It’s impossible for nothing to have caused this building. It’s impossible for nothing to have caused anything because nothing can do nothing. Matter of fact that’s science. If you have nothing you can’t get anything out of nothing. That’s a scientific fact!
So if someone says – Well there’s no God and yet there’s all these things that are here they had to be started by something or something had to start em. So we came to the conclusion that there are some things that man began or caused and there are some things that man designed but then what about all the things that man didn’t design like the planet, like elephants, like the blue sky, like the ocean, like, like the moon, the star, Pluto, the constellations, the milky way. Well man didn’t do it and certainly nothing didn’t do it so something bigger than it the universe had to do it. We call that God. And so we’ve been looking at the bible and looking at all the verses in the bible that God says that He did it and evidence that He did it.
And so today we’re gonna take this, this thought process 1 more step and we’re gonna talk about purpose, everyone say purpose. Now remember whatever causes you gives you your design and whatever gives you your design gives you your purpose.
And this leads us to our first, right at our first guiding principle for today if you look at the top of your lesson plan it should say – Limited objects must receive their purpose from their designer. Limited objects must receive their purpose from their designer.
When I go in my wife’s kitchen I look at all these things that she has in there. It doesn’t matter whether I get it because the guy who or the woman or whoever designed those things didn’t design them for the husband. He designed them for the wife. And I’m being stereotypic but basically for the most part you know, you know what I’m saying.
Let me move on. He designed it for the person in the house that’s gonna design these things and like cots chotskys. What the heck is a chotsky? Do you all know what a, how many of you all don’t know what a chotsky is? Thank you. That’s my point! It’s, does someone here know what a chotsky is? 5 people. A chotsky is something you buy in your house and you put it on your shelf and all it does it sit there. It’s just a little knick-knack. Do you all know what a knick-knack-patty-whack is? That’s a chotsky. A knick-knack is a chotsky and they have no purpose whatsoever. You just sit em up there and they just take up space. That’s just my opinion. This is my opinion. Again my opinion means absolutely what? Thank you! But the guy or the woman who designed chotsky said – Somebody’s gonna like this right beyond the edge of their counter next to the other chotsky that doesn’t do anything either.
Purpose, purpose. So the person who designs it gives it purpose. Everything you see, your shirt, this stage, that piano, that screen was all designed by someone to give it, and gave, the designer gave it purpose. It can’t give itself its purpose. The TV does not have the capacity to give itself purpose. It got its purpose from its designer. The clock does not have the capacity to give itself its purpose. The, the, the, the clock got its purpose from its designer. This podium, this bible, this book all got its purpose from its designer and so you think of all the things that man designed, man gave its purpose.
Now what about all the things man didn’t design? What about all the things God designed? Where do they get their purpose from? From God. From God. You got your purpose from God. You got your purpose from God. So I’ll make a statement that may rock your world.
#1 in your notes, statement #1-Without God you have no meaningful purpose. If you have no God you have no meaningful purpose. Why? You have no designer. You are an accident. You just happen to be here. You don’t matter and when you die you, you’re done and that’s it. So nothing you believe, nothing you do is gonna mean anything for when it’s all over and over it’s done! Do whatever you want. Matter of fact next week we’re gonna talk more about what right and wrong is and how we execute our purpose and how you can prove right or wrong but you cannot give yourself purpose because you don’t understand the capacity of your design.
Let me ask you a question. Do you think this clock can give itself its purpose? Yes or no? It doesn’t understand itself. Someone put those pieces together to form time but the clock itself can’t, can’t understand the capacity of the clock. This TV cannot understand its own capacity. That couch does not understand its own capacity because it was given to it by someone else other than the couch.
Now you may say – Well I’m a thinking human being. That is correct. And I give myself my own purpose. That is incorrect. You can give yourself a purpose but it won’t be a meaningful purpose and it won’t be a purpose in line with your design. Why? Because you don’t understand your design.
Let me ask you a question. How many of you have seen, let me make a statement than I’ll ask the question. You have not seen 99% of who you are. 99% of your body you’ve never seen. Do you understand how your nervous system works? Do you understand how your brain works? Do you understand how your stomach works? Your liver works? Do you understand how they work together? Do you understand how they communicate together? The answer is no. Do you understand the impact on your soul when you have premarital sex? No. Do you even understand there was a connection? No. You are a spiritual being. You are an eternal being. Do you understand how much a curse word impacts you in eternity? How do you…. If you don’t understand that how do you understand your purpose? How can you create your purpose? And here we are in our arrogance knowing hardly anything about ourself, never seen 99% of our body. Why do I say 99%? It’s probably even higher than that cuz all we’ve ever seen is the outside skin. We haven’t even seen the whole skin, just the outside of the skin and everything underneath we’ve never seen. We don’t know how it works. We don’t completely. We don’t know how they interact. We don’t know the connection. We don’t know our physical capacity. We don’t know our emotional capacity. We don’t understand our spiritual capacity. We don’t know our mental capacity. All that is a fact. And so if we don’t know our capacity, we don’t know how those capacities work together and the potential, how can we decide what they’re supposed to be used for? God designed us marvelously.
Turn, turn to Romans, ah 1 Corinthians 1:26 and there’s many verses you can use but just 1 Corinthians 1:26, 1 Corinthians 1:26 Paul says – For you see your calling that not many of you were, were wise according to the flesh. In other words in human terms you aren’t that smart. Not many of you were mighty. Not many of you were noble who are called but God chose the foolish things of the world to put shame the wise. God chose the weak things of the world to put shame to things which are mighty and the base things of the world, and the things which are despised, God has chosen the things which are not to bring to nothing the things which are. Do you know what God says? My ways are not your ways and I chose you as off as you are to do something way above your capacity. You couldn’t even imagine.
On a regular basis, regular, I shouldn’t say you know regular, somewhat I meet people and they’ve heard about the church and they’ll meet me and they’ll go – You’re the pastor? And I’m not offended by that. I actually take it as a compliment because they’re saying – You don’t look like you have the capacity. That’s what I hear them saying and it don’t bother me at all. I, again I take it as a compliment but I act like I’m offended. I go – why do you say it like that? Or people will say – You look too small to have played in the NFL. Again I take it as a compliment and then depending on who they are and how they say it and how much I know them, or you know how I feel with them I’ll say – You don’t look smart enough to do what you do. You actually graduated from college? You know just to kind of throw it back at them.
But my point is this is that God says, God says – Look your potential is way beyond what you know. The devil till tell you in your head what your purpose is and he’s a liar so he’ll never tell you the truth and he will always down play you. God says – I made you in my image. I made you a physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, eternal being and that, the, and the potential that is unlimited. So if you don’t understand the potential of each of those facets of your life, the power of your soul, if you don’t understand the impact of saying something kind to someone or saying something negative, how could you ever fulfill your purpose? And what, and what the world says is that this is my body, this is my mind. I’m gonna do what I want to do and we ruin it. We ruin it. Our purpose comes from our designer.

And by the way before we go to #2 let me say this. Thee, thee, thee, thee, Solomon was the richest man ever to live and what Solomon did is Solomon had all this money and Solomon says – I’m gonna try to establish my own purpose and fulfill my life with riches and wine, women and song. And in the book of Ecclesiastes in the bible, the book of Ecclesiastes is all about living without God. If you ever want to read a book in the bible that talks about living without God read the book of Ecclesiastes. Solomon was the richest man ever to live and he had 1000 women. He had a different woman for every day for almost 3 years. Ha-ha that brother had it going on but his lifestyle ruined him. It was not a godly thing to do and at the end of the book Ecclesiastes the book’s theme is vanity of vanities which is all a waste. He says – After I’ve spent all the money having parties and women and all this stuff, and riches, and gold and everything here is the, here is what I learned. Obey God and keep His commandments. That’s all that matters is do what God says.
#2 in your notes-Our purpose is to fulfill the intent of our design. Our purpose is to fulfill the intent of our design. Turn to 1 Corinthians 12, 1 Corinthians 12. Your purpose and my purpose is to fulfill thee intent of our design. In other words this TV was designed to give us a picture. That clock was designed to tell time. That couch was designed for you to sit on and be comfortable and go to sleep, watch TV or whatever it was. You, the way God designed you, your purpose is to fulfill that intent. What did God design you? Some of you God gave the ability to speak. Some of you God gave the ability to teach. Some of you God gave you the ability to encourage. Some of you God gave the ability to, to do math, whatever it is. That is your purpose Find out what God’s intent was for you.
Ah my first or second year of the Chargers before I was saved they said – We want you to go speak to this elementary school in La Jolla and they said – All you got to do is talk for like 10 minutes to the kids. They’re gonna do this little Charger day blah-blah-blah and they needed a player to go out. Can you go? And I was like – Look, I don’t speak to crowds of people. That’s not what I do. So can you get somebody else? They said – No we want you to go. So anyway I ended up going and I was so scared. I had, I remembered having the Chargers twist, I remembered what it looked like. I, I believe this was my rookie year cuz I had the dark, we had the dark blue sweat suit for our practice stuff and I was drenched sweating, so scared to talk to these 200 1st-2nd-3rd graders for 10 minutes. How ridiculous is that?
And I was sitting there and it took like 9 hours to get all these kids lined up and settled in. They had this big long banner Welcome San Diego Charger Miles McPherson da-da-da. And their teachers were trying to get em you know, get em all together like little cats. They were doing all this stuff and I was sitting there. I was like – Oh this is gonna be bad. This is gonna be bad. And I felt so bad because I knew I wasn’t gonna talk long and it took em, it didn’t take em 9 hours. It took em a long time and the banner was like you know it was like 30’ long. I’m like –How much time and love they put into that big banner with no chargers on, my name on it and I’m only gonna talk this long. And they, they got it, had the band you know they had all this big as life the big day you know the bid to do and kids came up and they sang songs da-da-da and they said – Ok and now our feature guest speaker and I was like – Oh my gosh. I was so scared. And I remember going up to the microphone and I don’t remember exactly what I said but it was something like this – Ah my name is Miles McPherson. Go Chargers. I mean it wasn’t that short but I remember walking away from the microphone feeling – I’m so sorry you all did all of that for that. God created this big mouth to talk. I didn’t know it.
God has created you to do something. Your purpose is to find out what that is and do it. Look what it says in verse, in chapter 1:14, I’m sorry chapter 12, did I say….chapter 12 I’m sorry. It’s been a long day 1Corinthians 12:14. We love you. I love you too. Verse 14 it says – Ah Paul’s talking about the body of Christ. The body having many members. The body of Christ are the people. And verse 14 it says – For in fact the body is not one member but many. Your body’s not one member. You have hands, feet, eyes, ears. Those are all different members.
Verse15 – If the foot should say – Because I am not a hand I am not part of the body is, it, is it not part of the body? If the ear should say – Because I an not an eye am I not part of the body? Is it therefore not part of the body? If the whole body were an eye where would the hearing be? If the whole body were hearing where would the smelling be? But now God has set the members, each one of them in the body as He pleased.
God has set you in this church and in the church globally with your specific gift and the specific intent of your design as God pleased. Some of you are supposed to be encouraging people cuz God created you to be an extra encourager. We all should encourage but some people have the gift of encouragement. Some of you God gave you the gift and desire to give. Some of you got, He gave the ability to teach, to teach reading, to teach math, to teach science. Some of you are supposed to be teachers. Some of you are supposed to be organizers. Some of you are supposed to be administrative. Some of you supposed to be serving. All these things God gave you to do. Your purpose is to fulfill that intent.
Can you imagine if I told God – God I’m not gonna speak? That would be a shame, a tragedy. God says – I’m gonna give you this big mouth. You’re gonna be from New York and then I’m gonna put all this ick loud volume because that’s what I want. This is God. That’s what I want. By the way it doesn’t mean everyone’s gonna like you. It don’t mean everyone’s going – Oh yeah I get that. That doesn’t matter. You just do cuz I said to, told you. That’s it.
If I made you an eye you see. If I made you an ear you listen. If I made you a hand you do what hands do. If I made you feet you walk. You do what I tell you and that’s all you got to worry about. That TV doesn’t have to worry about telling time. That clock doesn’t have to worry about putting the picture up. It just does what it does and it has no say in the matter.
Now because God has given us freedom we choose to ignore God and by the way when you ignore God you’ll never be fulfilled as you will obeying God. Next week we will talk about why. We will talk about why. God has said – I have made you, your purpose is to fulfill the intent of my design and my design is spiritual, emotional, and mental, and physical.
#3-The intent of our design is to eternally glorify our designer. Hey someone say amen! This ain’t, someone say it ain’t about me. It ain’t! There’s a, there’s a football player, ah turn to, um turn to 1 Corinthians 10, just a page right before where you were at. There’s a football player who’s getting ready to get drafted in the NFL. In my opinion he will be the first player drafted cuz no one knows who’s gonna be the first player but he’ll be the first player drafted. So I got to meet him. I’ve been a big fan of this young man all last season. So I got to meet him 3 weeks and 1 of his, 2 of his coaches actually go to church here and so I went down to meet him and when I walked in the gym he was at the other side of the gym playing basketball and the guy who was taking me in he says – Miles wait till you see him. And we walked in the gym and I said – daaaaaang. He’s 6’6”-6’5”-6’6”, 250-260 pounds, 6% body fat and he’s a quarterback and he was playing basketball. He was like Avatar. It was like Avatar and he’s like 21-22 and I was like – that guy, that guy’s human? I was like – No it’s not. And we just started laughing because it’s not even fair. It wasn’t even fair! And he walked up and I was like this and he was like – Hey what’s up man? And his ___ all around his body and I’m like – Huh-huh! Real humble kid, real respectful – Yes sir, how you doing pastor? And I was like and I was almost speechless cuz I would watch this guy all year. He is just like ridiculous.
So they had the NFL combine and all these NFL teams would come to him working him up and you know seeing how good he is and, and I’ve been texting him bible verses and this is the first verse I sent to him. Verse 31 it says 10:31 it says – Therefore whether you eat or drink, whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. And then I said- this is not about you, your high school, your college. This is about God. It’s about God. God created you! Look at you. Like, it’s like a video game human. You know how you build video game people? Oh he’s got to be 6’6”, he can run the 4. This kid, and he runs as fast as L.T. and he was the highest passing, he had the highest passing rating in the history of college football. God says – I’m gonna make me a creature!. I’m gonna make a beast. But God made him for God’s glory.
God created you for His glory and He gave you, He designed you for His, you are not an accident. You’re not the result of atoms coming together and molecules coming together, and a sperm and an egg getting forming a zygote. That’s not, it’s way bigger than that. And because we don’t understand it……….by the way you’ll never understand it. It’s too, it’s way above our head. Ask any doctor, scientist, professor in any college, any college. Not 1, I don’t care if they don’t believe in God or not 1 will ever tell you – We understand everything about the human person. They’ll all tell you – We don’t, we hardly know anything. So if you hardly know anything how are you able to make decisions on what it’s for when there’s so much you don’t know? Oh when we stand before God God’s gonna go, God’s gonna have a chat with a whole lot of people. He’s gonna say – Me and you got to talk.
#4-Our purpose can only be fulfilled through a dependent relationship on our designer. Your purpose can only be fulfilled in the context of a relationship with a person who designed you. You can’t do it by yourself. Why? Because there’s too much you don’t know. There’s too much you don’t know! Say amen if you know you don’t know a whole lot about your life. You don’t know! You, there’s more you don’t know than you know. There’s more you don’t know than you know.
Let me go back to the illustration. 99 and that’s my percentage. It may be 99.9, 98 but I’ll, I can’t imagine it’s less than 98. Let’s say it’s 90. You’ve never, it’s got to be 99 you haven’t seen of your whole body. You never seen it. You don’t even know you have it. You can’t prove you have a brain. I mean I guess you can. You can get a cat scan so there something in there. See little rats running on a little treadmill. You don’t know and all about the unseen world that we don’t know, clueless. The demons following you around tormenting you, oh yeah. The angels fighting those demons, clueless.
My wife witnessed a car accident today. A car went through a red light and this other car came up the hill, bham! They had to get the jaws of life to get the people out. All what was going on in the unseen world in that situation. You don’t know and the fact that God knew that was gonna happen before it happened.
What do you know about what’s gonna happen tomorrow? Nothing. Nothing and God’s telling you – Go right. And you’re like – God I want to go left. He’s saying – Go right! Something is left you don’t want to see. You can’t do that except in the context of a relationship.
Turn to John 15, John 15. Several years before I started the Rock I tried to start a church called Cornerstone. It was, that was just the name I had at the time and we were gonna start it at Crawford High School. So I started getting the information about renting the auditorium. I was building a team and as I was going through this process God was telling me stop! I didn’t know at the time that’s that was what He was telling me. So I kept going and the more I proceeded the more He, He was resisting me. I was having nightmares. I could hear church women. And I’d think – what’s a church woman? Church, church woman is just, it was just, it wasn’t women in the church it was that woman. That’s – Pastor Miles, with problems. Pastor Miles, like hundreds of em - Pastor Miles. And I was in bed having nightmares. There’s church guys too so don’t be offended but this is just what happened in this dream and I was having boils on my face. They were actually zits but boils more biblical. Big gigantic stuff was swirling around inside. It was nasty. It’s like biblical like you know Exodus boils. Moses sent them down. And as I was talking to this leadership team I was building I was getting sick to my stomach and I was almost gonna thrown up.
Now I haven’t thrown up really since I was like 5. I don’t throw up. Big time I don’t throw up since I was 5 years old but I was getting nauseous like I’m gonna throw up and God was saying – ah you need to stop. Finally I gave up, I stopped. God says – This is, this is a I lead godly people. And I said – Ok God. And several years later we started this church and it was a whole different experience. I haven’t had any boils and I love the church women!
Look what it says 15:11. It says – I am the true vine and my Father is the vine dresser. Every branch in me that does not bare fruit he takes away and every branch that bares fruit he prunes that it may bare more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I spoke to you. Abide in me. Trust in me and I in you and the branch cannot bare fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine. Neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine. You are the branches. He who abides in me and I in him bares much fruit. For without me you can do nothing.
Here’s what happens. When you give your life to Jesus Christ you are taking all the potential of your design: physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, everything, all the stuff that we don’t even know and how those things work together and how those work together not only each other with people but in the spiritual realm. You’re taking the potential of all of that and you saying to God – God I don’t understand how to run this machine. Here I’m gonna surrender it to you. You take over. And God says – Yes. Are you sure? Yes God I’ve messed it up.
It’s like you’re, it’s like you getting in the car, your daddy’s brand new car, you don’t understand all the gadgets and you mess it up cuz you didn’t read the manual. It’s like buying a brand new Mercedes and you go to the dealer and the guy at the Mercedes dealer says – I want you to put high test, you all aren’t getting that Mercedes Mercedes ok you’re, you’ll get it later. I only want you to put high test gasoline in here. But because gas is $9, $9 a gallon you put water in the, in the gas tank because you’re too cheap or poor or broke. I mean who could afford $9 a gallon. And you put gas in there, then you put some sand in there cuz you know fill it up and the sand will get converted cuz you’re just thick and you do it and you ruin the car. You bring it to the dealer and the dealer says – Why did you do that? Ah cuz you know ah I just figure ah water’s cheaper than gas. The designer dictates what goes in there. The designer dictates how the car runs. Not you! The designer dictates how this is used. Not you. You do it your way death will come. You ruin the car.
Your purpose and my purpose is to fulfill the intent of the design by glorifying the designer and that can only happen when you take Him by the hand and you let Him lead you. It can’t happen any other way. There’s too much way over our pay grade. We can’t understand. The bible says the just shall walk by faith. By faith Lord I don’t understand everything and He says- You never will so just follow me. God you just can’t, God why do you want me to talk to that person? He says – It’s gonna take too long to explain cuz then I got to explain to you their childhood and their grandparents and their grandparents. How it all changed, affected how they view you right now and that’s why I’m gonna tell you what to say cuz if you, if you say what you want to say you’re gonna mess it up. Dear God I want to go out with that girl. Well if you’re gonna go out with that girl you got to do a lot of adjustment cuz I don’t, I, you don’t want to know what that girl thinks of you right now and you’re too think to understand why she thinks about you that way. But I know all that so trust me.
And God wants to have that kind of relationship with you through every decision you make, every decision you make. What is the connection between giving and being blessed? What is the connection between hording and being cursed? There’s a connection! But we don’t want to believe that connection so we horde and want to be blessed. God says – It don’t work that way, don’t’ work that way. That’s why it’s better to give than receive cuz when you give you receive something and you don’t know where it came from. So by faith we have to say –Lord I’m gonna surrender this whole being called me, that I don’t get but I know it’s marvelous. I’m gonna surrender it to you and let you do whatever you want to do. That is what salvation is.
In a minute we’re gonna pray and we’re gonna give you an opportunity to say –Lord here I am. Now some of you have already given your life to Christ but you know what? You’re still living you way. You are not fulfilling the intent of God’s design and your, of who you are and what you are. You’re not! God says – I want you back. I want all of you and I want all of you now and by the way He deserves all of you. Doesn’t He?
I’m gonna read 1 more verse to you as you bow your head and pray. Just, you can just listen. I’m gonna read this to you. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says – You do not, do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you whom you have from God and that you are not your own? You were bought at a price therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are God’s. They don’t even belong to you.
Lord I thank you so much, your word is so clear. It’s so powerful. Lord um we need to surrender ourselves to you so you can maximize the potential of what you created when you created us, what you designed when you designed us. We have yet to see what that can be. The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the earth looking to do something supernatural through someone who will be loyal. Lord may we be that person.
Right now wherever you are, you’re watching online, you’re sitting right here in the sanctuary, if you say – I got to surrender myself to my designer, pray this prayer with me. In the privacy of your heart pray:
Dear God, I surrender. I give up. Here I am. Take control of my life. Fulfill your purpose in my life. Thank you Jesus for being patient. Forgive me of my sin. Have your way with my life.
As our eyes are closed and our heads are bowed I’m gonna in a minute ask you to stand up and by standing you are surrendering publicly to God. If you prayed that prayer and you’re saying – Lord I want you to fulfill your purpose in my life. If you prayed that prayer for whatever reason just stand to your feet.
