You only need God’s word to possess something, to grab hold of something, to rely on something! Nobody else approval! No one else’s advice! No one else’s conformation!
Whether it be peace, victory, strength, courage!!
If I want to own something anymore, all I have to do is get online and find what I am looking for, put my credit card information into the website, within seconds it gives me a transaction number and I print out the receipt and I will get a email a little later confirming my order and telling with in a time frame, I should be receiving it.
I own that item, even though I may not have physically in my hands!
If you are waiting till your circumstances changes before you can have peace, before you can victory, before you can have strength, before you can have courage!!
Talking about courage or about not having fear, I like what the race car driver said, when asked if he was ever scared when he was driving. He replied, “Yes, fear is always in the car but you can’t let him drive!”
In other words, just like God was telling Joshua…Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you!
"Every place is yours — but every place only as you tread upon it, occupy, subdue, possess it."
They had to put action to their belief!!
Isn’t that what faith is? Hebrews 11:1-Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen!
At some point we have to take God at His word and apply the things He has promised us to our life!!
Philippians 4:12-I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Romans 8:28-And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Romans 8:38-39-For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,

A preacher read of a list of promise found in God’s word to the congregation and then asked, “Isn’t those wonderful promise?” and a lady spoke up and said, “No, those are wonderful realities!”
None of you would find a house, sign the papers on that house, start making payments on that house and not move into it? Right?
Why would hear God’s word, and read God’s word and not posses it, not believe it, not cling to it?
This is not mind over matter or just having good thoughts, or positive thinking, or name it and claim it…..Well, maybe it is, but it’s this way!!
He named it and I’m going to claim it!!!
If I said. “Be back tonight and I will give everybody that shows up a 1000 dollars a piece!” Well, you might show up tonight just to see how I was going to get out of this, why because you know I don’t have the resources to be able to do that!
But if Bill Gates stood here and said the same thing, you not only would be here tonight, but you would make sure others were here too!
Why because you know he has the resources to do that!!
Why then, would we take the word of a man and yet doubt, the Word of God or the promises of God, who has unlimited resources!!
