The Ultimate LOCATION(:24)
Explanation:(:24) Place/Experience/Heaven
:24—“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.””
It is also Jesus’ desire for His disciples to reside with Him where He is— He is again seeing Himself as already in heavenly glory, seeing as how He has accomplished the work of God(:4)....
Jn. 14:2-4—““In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. “And if I go & prepare a place for you, I will come again, & receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. “And you know the way where I am going.””
Being with Jesus ensures that they will “behold” His full heavenly “glory.” This glory was granted to Him from God the Father. This glory was possessed by Jesus “before the world” was created; that is to say, Jesus is eternal(Jn. 1:1-2) & thus eternally “loved” by God the Father.
“Desire”—yelw—1) To will, have in mind, intend—1a) To be resolved or determined, to purpose, 1b) To desire, to wish, 1c) To love—1c1) To like to do a thing, be fond of doing, 1d) To take delight in, have pleasure. Boulomai has the wider range of meaning, but yelw is the stronger word; yelw denotes the active resolution, the will urging on to action, see Ro 7:15, while boulomai is rather to have in thought, to intend, to be determined. Strong—To determine(as an active option from subjective impulse; whereas boulomai properly denotes rather a passive acquiescence in objective considerations), i.e. Choose or prefer(literally or figuratively); by implication--To wish, i.e. Be inclined to(sometimes adverbially, gladly); impersonally for the future tense--To be about to; by Hebraism--To delight in.
“With”—meta—Prep.(often used adverbially)—1) With, after, behind. Strong—properly--Denoting Accompaniment; "Amid"(local or causal); modified variously according to the case(genitive case association, or accusative case succession) with which it is joined; occupying an intermediate position between apo or ek & eiv or prov; less intimate than en & less close than sun).
“Behold”—yewrew—1) To be a spectator, look at, behold—1a) To view attentively, take a view of, survey—1a1) To view mentally, consider; 2) To see—2a) To perceive with the eyes, to enjoy the presence of one, 2b) To discern, descry, 2c) To ascertain, find out by seeing. word not used of an indifferent spectator, but of one who looks at a thing with interest & for a purpose; would be used of a general officially reviewing or inspecting his army. Strong—To be a spectator of, i.e. Discern, (literally, figuratively [experience] or intensively [acknowledge]).
“Glory”(See :5, 22, 24)—doxa
“Foundation”—katabolh—1) A throwing or laying down—1a) The injection or depositing of the virile semen in the womb, 1b) Of the seed of plants & animals; 2) A founding (laying down a foundation). Strong—A deposition, i.e. Founding; figuratively--Conception. Used 11X.
Argumentation:
Mat. 6:9-10—““In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.”
Heaven is a place where God’s will is accomplished unequivocally.
Mat. 4:17—“From that time Jesus began to preach & to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.””
Heaven is available to everyone at every moment.
Dan. 7:27—“Then the kingdom & dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve & obey Him.’”
The Kingdom of Heaven will always be...It will never cease.
Col. 1:9-14—“For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, & to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom & spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work & increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience & longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness & conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”
Heaven is attained by personal trust in the redemption/forgiveness granted by the blood of Jesus.
Heaven is a place to be “entered”:
Mat. 7:21—““Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”
Mat. 5:20—““For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes & Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Our reward in Heaven, for obedience done here:
Mat. 5:12—“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile & persecute you, & say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice & be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
Acceptance of your future heavenly home effects life now:
Mat. 6:19-21—““Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth & rust destroy & where thieves break in & steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys & where thieves do not break in & steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Heaven is a place we are “saved” to:
Heaven is an individually chosen place:
Heaven is a place where those faithful of the past reside:
Heaven is a place we may still enter despite our past failures:
Lk. 13:23-30—“Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?” And He said to them, “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter & will not be able. “When once the Master of the house has risen up & shut the door, & you begin to stand outside & knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ & He will answer & say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’ then you will begin to say, ‘We ate & drank in Your presence, & You taught in our streets.’ “But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ “There will be weeping & gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham & Isaac & Jacob & all the prophets in the kingdom of God, & yourselves thrust out. They will come from the east & the west, from the north & the south, & sit down in the kingdom of God. And indeed there are last who will be first, & there are first who will be last.””
Heaven is an radically different place:
Rev. 21:4, 22-23—““And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.””.....“But I saw no temple in it[] new Jerusalem, for the Lord God Almighty & the Lamb are its temple. The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, & the kings of the earth bring their glory & honor into it. Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). And they shall bring the glory & the honor of the nations into it. But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”

The Ultimate RELATIONSHIP(:25)
Explanation:(:25)
:25—“O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; & these have known that You sent Me.””
:26—“And I have declared to them Your name, & will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, & I in them.”””
Jesus calls upon His Father as completely & uniquely “righteous.” Though the world wholeheartedly rejects the Father’s righteousness, Jesus & His disciples accept its objective nature originating from God alone. The Father is the determiner of infallible righteousness.
Again, Jesus himself admits His having “known” God His Father. Thus His disciples(by personal faith choice) have accepted in their hearts, the fact of Jesus’ haveing been sent of the One true God.
“Righteous”—dikaiov—1) Righteous, observing divine laws—1a) in a wide sense, Upright, righteous, virtuous, keeping the commands of God—1a1) Of those who seem to themselves to be righteous, who pride themselves to be righteous, who pride themselves in their virtues, whether real or imagined, 1a2) Innocent, faultless, guiltless, 1a3) used of him whose way of thinking, feeling, & acting is Wholly conformed to the will of God, & who therefore needs no rectification in the heart or life—1a3a) Only Christ truly, 1a4) Approved of or acceptable of God, 1b) in a narrower sense, Rendering to each his due & that in a judicial sense, passing just judgment on others, whether expressed in words or shown by the manner of dealing with them. Strong—Equitable(in character or act); by implication--Innocent, holy (absolutely or relatively).
“Known”3X—(See :7, 23)—ginwskw
Argumentation:
KNOWLEDGE affirms Relationship:
Php. 3:7-11—“But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, & count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ & be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him & the power of His resurrection, & the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.”
1Jn. 2:1-6—“My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, & not for ours only but also for the whole world. Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” & does not keep His commandments, is a liar, & the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”
Deut. 13:6-9—““If your brother, the son of your mother, your son or your daughter, the wife of your bosom, or your friend who is as your own soul, secretly entices you, saying, ‘Let us go & serve other gods,’ which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers, of the gods of the people which are all around you, near to you or far off from you, from one end of the earth to the other end of the earth, you shall not consent to him or listen to him, nor shall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him or conceal him; but you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, & afterward the hand of all the people.”
Am 3:3—“Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?”
Mutual LOVE affirms Relationship:
1Pet. 1:3-9—“Blessed be the God & Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible & undefiled & that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, & glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible & full of glory, receiving the end of your faith--the salvation of your souls.”
1Jn. 4:10-11—“In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us & sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
1Jn. 4:20-21—“If someone says, “I love God,” & hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.”
Mat. 10:37-39—““He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. “And he who does not take his cross & follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, & he who loses his life for My sake will find it.”
Eph. 2:4-9—“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), & raised us up together, & made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, & that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
Jn. 14:12-15—““Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; & greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
Jn. 14:21, 23—““He who has My commandments & keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, & I will love him & manifest Myself to him.””.....“Jesus answered & said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; & My Father will love him, & We will come to him & make Our home with him.”
1Cor. 16:22—“If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. O Lord, come!”
Mat. 22:35-40—“Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, & saying, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him,” ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, & with all your mind.’ “This is the first & great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ “On these two commandments hang all the Law & the Prophets.””
2Thes. 2:16-17—“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, & our God & Father, who has loved us & given us everlasting consolation & good hope by grace, comfort your hearts & establish you in every good word & work.”
FRIENDSHIP affirms Relationship:—Closeness
Jn. 15:12-15—““This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.”
Ex 33:11—“So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.”
FAMILY affirms Relationship:—Church
Col. 1:3-4—“We give thanks to the God & Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus & of your love for all the saints;”
Mat. 5:9—“Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.”
Jn. 1:10-13—“He was in the world, & the world was made through Him, & the world did not know Him. He came to His own, & His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
Mk. 3:32-35—“And a multitude was sitting around Him; & they said to Him, “Look, Your mother & Your brothers are outside seeking You.” But He answered them, saying, “Who is My mother, or My brothers?” And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, & said, “Here are My mother & My brothers! For whoever does the will of God is My brother & My sister & mother.””
Mk. 10:29-30—“So Jesus answered & said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake & the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time--houses & brothers & sisters & mothers & children & lands, with persecutions--& in the age to come, eternal life.”

The Ultimate VESSEL(:26)
Explanation:(:26) Love
:26—“And I have declared to them Your name, & will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, & I in them.”””
Jesus had “declared”(& thus “will” & still does) His acceptance & knowledge of the fact that He has made His Father’s name known to those who are His disciples. In fact, He will continue to make it known to them & to those who follow them.
Thru making the Father’s name(His total character & will) known to true disciples, the same “love” with which Jesus has been “loved”(by His heavenly Father), will be “in” these disciples. Jesus Himself will also be “in them.”
“Declared”—gnwrizw—1) To make known—1a) To become known, be recognised; 2) To know, to gain knowledge of, have thorough knowledge of—2a) in earlier Greek it means "To gain a knowledge of" or "have thorough knowledge of." Strong—To make known; subjectively--To know.
Argumentation:
Isa. 45:9-10—““Woe to him who strives with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ Or shall your handiwork say, ‘He has no hands’? Woe to him who says to his father, ‘What are you begetting?’ Or to the woman, ‘What have you brought forth?’””
2Cor. 12:1-10—“It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions & revelations of the Lord: I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago--whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows--such a one was caught up to the third heaven. And I know such a man--whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows-- how he was caught up into Paradise & heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such a one I will boast; yet of myself I will not boast, except in my infirmities. For though I might desire to boast, I will not be a fool; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, lest anyone should think of me above what he sees me to be or hears from me. And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
1Cor. 2:1-5—“And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ & Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, & in much trembling. And my speech & my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit & of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”
1Cor. 1:17—“For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.”
2Cor. 4:1-12—“Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, & ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake. For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God & not of us. We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed-- always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So then death is working in us, but life in you.”
2Cor. 6:4-10—“But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand & on the left, by honor & dishonor, by evil report & good report; as deceivers, & yet true; as unknown, & yet well known; as dying, & behold we live; as chastened, & yet not killed; as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, & yet possessing all things.”
Eph. 3:8—“To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,”.
By the indwelling Holy Spirit(Himself of the Divine Trinity) within, Christ is in a very real sense, “in” us.
Mat. 18:18-20—““Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.””
Jn. 14:23-27—“Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Col. 1:27—“To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
2Cor. 10:7-12—“Do you look at things according to the outward appearance? If anyone is convinced in himself that he is Christ’s, let him again consider this in himself, that just as he is Christ’s, even so we are Christ’s. For even if I should boast somewhat more about our authority, which the Lord gave us for edification & not for your destruction, I shall not be ashamed-- lest I seem to terrify you by letters. “For his letters,” they say, “are weighty & powerful, but his bodily presence is weak, & his speech contemptible.” Let such a person consider this, that what we are in word by letters when we are absent, such we will also be in deed when we are present. For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, & comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.”
1Cor. 1:27-29—“But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, & God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; & the base things of the world & the things which are despised God has chosen, & the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.”
