VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. Enoch enjoyed being with GOD on a regular basis
"And Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God;"
Hebrews 11:5 (Amplified Bible)
Because of faith Enoch was caught up and transferred to heaven, so that he did not have a glimpse of death; and he was not found, because God had translated him. For even before he was taken to heaven, he received testimony [still on record] that he had pleased and been satisfactory to God.
We are of faith, so we enjoyed our walk with GOD in a regular basis like Enoch. All it takes is faith in JESUS CHRIST and His finished work on the cross for GOD to be pleased with us.
B. GOD took him home with Him
"and he was not, for God took him [home with Him]."
The expression "he was not" is the same as dead, as not existing from this world by consideration of the mind.
Genesis 37:30 (Amplified Bible)
He rejoined his brothers and said, The boy is not there! And I, where shall I go [to hide from my father]?
Genesis 42:36 (Amplified Bible)
And Jacob their father said to them, You have bereaved me! Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and you would take Benjamin from me. All these things are against me!
Jeremiah 31:15 (Amplified Bible)
Thus says the Lord: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping. Rachel is weeping for her children; she refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.
Matthew 2:18 (Amplified Bible)
A voice was heard in Ramah, wailing and loud lamentation, Rachel weeping for her children; she refused to be comforted, because they were no more.
But Enoch's translation is just like Elijah.
2 Kings 2:11-12 (Amplified Bible)
As they still went on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire parted the two of them, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
And Elisha saw it and he cried, My father, my father! The chariot of Israel and its horsemen! And he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.
... to be with GOD, forever and ever.
IX. CONCLUSION:
GOD will take us away in visions and dreams like what happened to Paul.
2 Corinthians 12:2 (Amplified Bible)
I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows—was caught up to the third heaven.
