Defeat of the ungodly is victory for the LORD in a way, since they have rejected every knowledge of GOD and everything about GOD. It's fair and just for them to be destroyed because of consequences of their sins. Since GOD have already provided His Son as Atonement for them, but still they have rejected CHRIST JESUS and have chosen their own way to be saved.
