1. Jeroboam - official of King Solomon, rebelled to become first king of Israel. (1 Kings 11:26)

Another rebel leader was Jeroboam son of Nebat, one of Solomon’s own officials. He came from the town of Zeredah in Ephraim, and his mother was Zeruah, a widow.
B. Why did he rebeled?

Is there a problem with being young? yes, there is in the administration level, old man have experiences while young man can only boast of their strength. It's enough for Jeroboam to gain more experiences. If they will not live wisely according to GOD's Words, then they could be tempted to give in to the sins of youth, because being young comes also temptations.

This regular reading will prevent him from becoming proud and acting as if he is above his fellow citizens. It will also prevent him from turning away from these commands in the smallest way. And it will ensure that he and his descendants will reign for many generations in Israel.
If King Jeroboam rebelled against the king, chances are, he will also rebel against GOD, since he never kept a copy of GOD's commandments (5 books of Pentateuch) during his kingship. (Romans 13:1) Because King Solomon's authority of kingship came from GOD, he could just have waited for his next promotion based on King Solomon's ratings of him and not of himself. But he trusted in himself and not GOD who gives the promotion and the source of it, though GOD uses men to execute it.
