A. Talks with the King David
"She replied, “My lord,"
1. Bathsheba is an important woman in the Old Testament because she is the mother of King Solomon.
Bathsheba was mentioned 11 times in the Old Testament, 8 times in the book of 1 Kings, twice in the book of 2 Samuel and once in Psalms.
Not only she's majority in the book of the Kings, but her name is significant as well.
Bathsheba came from the Hebrew word:"bath-sheba" meaning "daughter of an oath". She was born for this very purpose to bear the oath of the LORD to King David.
2. Facts about her:
a. wife of Uriah who committed adultery with King David (2 Samuel 11)
b. became wife of King David (2 Samuel 11)
c. mother of Solomon (2 Samuel 12:24, 1 King 1,2, 1 Chronicles 3:5)
d. has 4 sons born to David namely Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon (1 Chronicles 3:5)
e. takes her bath late in the afternoon. (2 Samuel 11:2)

Bathsheba is significant for us because she reminded us of our sinful lives, no matter what law or requirements GOD has set before us, because we are weak, we can't attain to it, no matter how unfaithful we are, like King David is unfaithful to the LORD, imagine with this one woman, Bathsheba, (a) King David peeps to her while she's taking her bath, (b) slept with her, (c) committed adultery with her, (d) wants her husband to take the responsibility of his child, (e) killed her husband, Uriah, (f) gets her as her wife and pretends nothing wrong with that, still the LORD GOD is faithful to His promise to him, still King Solomon was made king. The LORD GOD was not faithful until King Solomon even until the time of the King of kings and Lord of lords. (Psalms 132:11-12) Even if we are faithless, GOD remains faithful. (2 Timothy 2:13)

B. Reminded the king of his promises in the name of the Lord

So Solomon took the throne of the Lord in place of his father, David, and he succeeded in everything, and all Israel obeyed him.
