Others cant but God can!
Romans 3:3 NKJ
3. For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?
Gods faithfulness, is not based on our faithfulness, or on the faithfulness of those who are around us.
TBS.(the bible says) no matter what, He remains faithful
2 Timothy 2:13 NKJ
13. If we are faithless,
He remains faithful;
He cannot deny Himself.
In the world, the older you get, the more you find, that there are a lot of nay Sayers, in life
you know never a good word about anything or anyone, never up beat always down.
If there is a worst case scenario, you will know the worst what if, because thats the first thing that usually comes to their mind and out of their mouth.
Thing is, most don't even know that there doing it, they have done it so long,
It's like having a flat tire, every time you go to drive the car and I think we all know, it's hard to get anywhere when you have a flat tire on your car all the time!
And then once in a while, you come across someone who is way to up beat, positive and optimistic, to the point of impossible.
Everythings good, everythings great, my life is fantastic, my kids are so smart,
my car, my house, my wife and my life are great and I am good looking to boot,
And its like you say...gag!...are they for real?
And if you have a choice of which one you want to be around, you choose neither!
Its funny how and what other people around you think, do and act,
tend to influence what you think and do in your life.
The old cliché when in Rome, do as the Romans do, is really not always the most sound advice!
If were ever going to see the extravagant life that God has planned for us,
And by that, I mean His version of it and not ours, or the one we might be willing to settle for,
We cant base it, off of what other people think and say, cause after all thats just their opinion,
and it doesn't take rocket scientist to figure out that everyone has one and some people have more than one!
We should never let other peoples opinions, no matter who they are,
carry more weight, than what God has already provided for, paid for and promised to us! Amen?
What other people think, usually just waters down and tends to douse the fire of your dreams anyways?
Just because they dont believe in you, should not affect what you believe anyways,
And if it does, you shouldnt be listening to it , let alone believing it!
Because God is still bigger than anything or anybody, no matter who they think they are, or what they may think they know! Only Gods word is final!
There will always be critics and nay sayers in life.
Its not whats said about you that affects your life, but what you say and believe about yourself, that affects your life.
One of the most important things you can learn is that other people dont have to believe in you in order for your dreams to come to pass.
Their thinking is not going to get it done for you, your words and your faith have power, certainly more power in your life than theirs do.
The accuser will try to use anything he can to diminish your hopes and dreams in your life, including the ones around you, but the fact is this,
Other people dont set the limitations and parameters for your life, you do.
It doesnt matter if other people dont believe, their unbelief should not keep us from believing, in our God given hopes and dreams.
When God gives you a word, when Jesus says come, you don't have to ask the ones around you, "did you hear something"?
Because chances are, if its a word for you, their not going to hear it,
Every bodies not going to have the faith to go, or even want to go, where God is calling you to go, with that word!
That word, that one word, combined with. his favor, can propel you to go places and do things you or anyone else couldn't even imagine!
The bible gives us a classic example in,
Matthew 14:29 NKJ
29. So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water
when the Lord gave Peter a word to do something impossible,
It doesn't say Peter turned around in the boat and ask for the advice of the others,
"What do you guys think? I think He wants me to go out there and do what He's doing!
Did it sound like He said ’Come’? I’m not quite sure. What do you think John, what do you think Thomas?
I'm sure you probably are thinking what Thomas was going to say, Thats right, I doubt it,
John probably thought a lot of things at that very moment, like I thought I was your favorite disciple Lord,
but I can almost guarantee you, he wasn't thinking about the possibility of Peter defying the laws of physics.
No, Peter didn’t ask anyone, because he had heard the Word of the Lord for his situation and that was all he needed,
He went with it, he stepped out on faith in the Word of God, and did the impossible, He walked on water!
Jesus gave him one word, "Come" and it was enough to step over the side of a boat, in the midst of a raging storm, and walk on the water toward Jesus.
The measure of faith, that God gives to each and everyone of us, will always push you, point you and pull you in the direction of Jesus!
The hard part is, those times when we have to stand alone in faith,
When we seemingly have no one to stand with us, and agree with us,
the good news is though, Jesus will always stand with you, Jesus wants to be your faith partner,
He can give you the courage, like He did Peter, so that you know, that you know, that you know your need will be met and He will not let you down!
*That's the kind of faith that will move mountains,
*that's the kind of faith that causes cancer to flee,
*that's the kind of faith that will take you through the fire, safely over to the other side and let you stand in victory,
*thats the kind of faith that will make you victorious over every situation in your life, Praise God!!
Not just this morning, but for the rest of your life, for all of eternity! Amen?
Lets look back at our text again for a moment,
Romans 3:3 NKJ
3. For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?
The NIV says, "What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness?"
NASB - "If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it?"
NLT - "True, some of them were unfaithful; but just because they broke their promises, does that mean God will break his promises?"
When God puts a promise in your heart, its not up to other people to bring it to pass, they cant do it anyways, but God can!
And with your faith in Gods capabilities and His willingness to help turn the impossible into possible for you, theres nothing that cant be accomplished!
You dont need everyone or anyone to validate you anyways, Jesus already took care of your validation at the cross! Amen?
He is your validater and everything else you might ever have need of,
All you have to do, is follow the voice of God for yourself and allow Him to order your steps.
And start thanking Him for whats about ready to happen in your life,
Dont be anxious about your situation, Gods timing is absolute perfection every time,
When we try to help and hurry Him, it only ends up taking longer than it would have taken, with no help from us at all!
Only God is capable of bringing everything to pass, in the right order of events,
To achieve unachievable dreams, that everybody else says, will never happen
( how many examples have you heard of how people met and got married, or for anything great for that matter, of coming about,
each one has its own set of events that had to take place, before they were able to happen)
TBS. all things work together, that means every event in your life, when you love The Lord!
Remember, God sees the hidden treasures and desires, that time and the accuser, has buried on the inside of you.
He has never forgotten any of them, not even the silly or trivial ones, not even one time.
He wants to bring out for you, those treasures that have been hidden away for far to long and make your dreams reality!
Believe that He is finishing for you, what He started for you, the moment the dream was put into your heart,
Because His word declares it to be true, TBS.
Philippians 1:6 NKJV
6. being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
1 Thessalonians 5:24 MSG.
23-24. May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it!
The more you seek His word and what He has promised you, the more you will be blessed!
Tune out the negative and focus on Gods positive word in and over your life and hold on, because He will exceed every expectation you place before Him,
Because He's always a God of plenty, always more than enough,
Amen? Lets pray and thank Him for what He's about to do in our life and in our Church and community!
